Loverly, I think that may be the thing. Of course ad's always make something look good. Do try to find whatever avoid the neck pull. Lost one dear dog JB(Jimmy Buffit). To a paralysis of the nerve to the larynx. Long story. from that learned pullers on the leash can ultimately kill them. It's avoidable, but it's work. Shat's is a puller, but she's rarely on a leash.. When we run them off leash, they are so responsive to commands it is so amazing. Put them on leash they are stupid. Go figure. I do have to try and do a "run video" A cop car pulled up to us the other day and I said something stupid like the dogs are pooping. Officer didn't even give a warning. It's on the way to the Sherrif's ranch. We've seen lot's of cops over the years. Varies how they respond. Messes me up each time. But when they see we have control of the dogs they are really nice.

Made the most amazing stew tonight. Based on "Olive Gardens chicken gnocchi soup". There's this recipe site called copykat.com. Did a bunch of variations off the recipe , but it was devine. Combined elements from multiple recipes and did it with mussels and clams.

How I have gotten through life without ever tasting a gnoochi no clue, but i'm hooked. Way better than a pasta.

Hi again everyone Have had a so-so day. Lots of pain today, took some Lortab but man I do not like the way it makes me feel. Tonight I just took two tylenol and am already starting to regret not taking something stronger. Tomorrow will be better I think, I seem to be on a good day then a bad day schedule

Hi Gracie sorry about the pain, Try a NSAID 12 hr thingy.

I saw something on line while trying to combine recipes about gluten. Hmmmmmmmmmm it was substitutuing cornstarch for flour, but didn't matter I skipped tha/ Himm just warmed a bowl. This stuff may not make it for a next night dinner,

Made theis great soup tonight. Donnie helped.

Basic recipe was Olive Gradens "chicken and Gnocchi. You can find the recipe on the web. copycat.com funsite.

I combined about several elements from recipes that sound good.

One time made the bestest vegetarian recipe for lasagna(sic) that way. Thought no big deal , I'll remember. wrong. It was one of a kind. My friend that had become newly vegetarian and I have laughed about it for many years.

Hi says! I stay away from NSAIDs as much as possible because they can cause my colitis to flare up. So Tylenol it is and it's not doing a great job but at least it took the edge off. Soup sounds wonderful.

This may be TMI (I hope not though). Tonight I was checking my chest to see if a bruise is showing up. Nothing on top of my one remaining breast, but underneath, there is the definite coloring of bruising. Yowsers! At least I don't do things half-a_ _ _d. You might as well go for it, right? :0)

Eyelids are drooping, so time to hit the pillows. Catch you girls tomorrow.

OH Gracie, How funny. I tried to go find some funny in the night banterings. Kept filliping back to pages I wanted to pass. But it's good. You got the idea. Just come any old time. You will be just talking to all of us. Anywhooses, it all works. The talking. It all works.

Oh one night so many years ago a gal and I were talking into the wee wee hours of the morning. Really both decided we were ready bto sleep. Then this gal comes on an she's in trouble. Chit, by that time my head was almost bobbing. AND she spoke Spanish. We got through that, but it wasn't easy. I then PM'd the mods that we needed a Spanish program. They did it. Never knew how she did. But her coming here made a difference.

Gracie, what all were trying to talk about with all the threads. It breaks down to social threads and technical threads. A technical thread is something like a drug, condition, type, surgery. It is important to seek their advice on technical thingy's. I'm a nurse of 40 years-----no clue about chemo drugs. Many here have a clue b/c they have taken many.

Then there is the social thread (I'm quite social at the moment ----into the chardonnay)

Social is a bit more complex. It's social, but technical stuff comes up b/c of a members need.. Each member brings a different BC experience to a social thread. But not all social threads manage that the same way. I think I can express the fact that with this group, someone comes with a need, we all jump in and help. Yup, we are helper jumpers, we just jump and help. Hahaahah-----------hmm more wine.................We also, just accept each other as we are.. No judgements any way upside, down side, inside, outside. Did I cover Dr. Zeus?

Guessing I should talk stage 4 threads. They are separate. I'm a rare one that ventures into stage 4's b/c of nursing knowledge. They want their separateness unless otherwise indicated.

Oddly Chrissby came this week, Haven't seen her in ever so long she created a thread years ago that was a beautiful thread that encouraged folks that had concerns about stage 4 that they could ask their questions.

Chrissy should be responding shortly and hopefully link the thread.

So just talking away, getting into history now. When I started this thread as a night owl so desparatly wanting sleep. The side affect is I meet the Southlanders. The Australians, Aucklanders b/c it was their day time. Chrissy formed a very successful thread that then I didn't get to see her much. Thatslife dropped out she was from Australia and Alyson was from Auckland. I still see Allyson on fb. She's tried a couple times to come here, but I think it was overwhelming.

Chrissy miss you. It was so much fun when you did the American tour. Please, post a link to the pics.

Chrissy and I stole into the Fountainbleau in Miamii. It was so much fun. Ate a hot dog in a nondescript place, then got a desert----------seems chocolate was involved. Before getting to Miamii we followed a sign that said something like "One of the ten best beaches in the world". We changed our clothes out in public behind the open doors of the car. Hahahahaha.

I drove to Lauderdale to meet her an Twojays, and ______from Austin. It ways very unnervinging b/c once you get below Stuart Florida it's concrete everywhere and highways. I'm effectively in the netherland. How there can be a netherland in florida---dunno. We haven't thankfully be discovered.

Gracie ~ Is your pain from the bone mets? With the bone mets, our pain is in the actual bone with the surrounding nerves becoming irritated. Inflammation is a big problem - even worse if you can't take NSAIDS. I need to avoid them too. There are supplements that help with inflammation without killing your insides. I take Celadrin, Bromelain, Vitamin D3 and mega doses of Vitamin C. JunieB swears by Turmeric (I need to try that!) Opiates/Narcotics have no effect on my pain and only make me very nauseous. I live on Fioricet and Tramadol; they help somewhat and don't make me "wonky" or muck up my guts. If you can take it, Neurontin is supposed to be good for nerve pain. Cymbalta helps nerve and bone pain too. Ask your MO what other options there are for you. Hate pain

Sassy ~ Growing up, the beach we went to did not have any public changing rooms or restrooms. We all used to change in and out of our swim suits between the car doors, taking turns holding up our towels or beach blanket to make "curtains". How funny you did that too!

Hey Sas, hi girls!

Sas, my girls are going great guns and so are all my grands. The one bit of news on them is my eldest grand is trans gender and I now have a grand daughter.....yipee! Always wanted one but had given up.....lol. We are very happy and accepting of her and help any way we can as she is still going through her psych appointments and is out of work so grandparents are, at the moment, footing the bill but that's okay.

My youngest grand graduates from High School this year and has already secured himself a job working holidays and weekends and once school is done he will begin an apprenticeship........he is soooo excited and his new boss is really happy with him. The other two are working multiple jobs but are happy in their endeavours.

I've now had both knees done so the walking is so much better..........best of all, no clots with the second one although I am now allergic to Clexane....yep, another to add to the growing list. Thank goodness there is now Pradaxa and Xaralto both of which are anticoagulants that don't need monitoring and it's a cap in the morning and at night. I also had a radical hysterectomy two weeks ago as I was growing another fibroid and because I have been on an AI for so long my risk factor for cancers in that area had gone way up so the docs and I decided it was the best way to go.....even at my age.....lol. The bones are still good and I'm still NED, five and a half years now so needless to say my docs are all very happy with me and so am I.

DH and I went to France this time last year and spent a week in Paris and five weeks driving around the Dordogne and The Lot..........fantastic amount of pre history and medieval history there and I took so many photos I am still going through them a year later.

I opened a small Antique and craft store last week........I'm only open four days a week that way I still have time for doc appointments, shopping and catch ups with my sisters and friends as well as the dreaded house work......lol. All the craft things I am selling are things I have made myself as well as blank cards with my photography on them. I'm hoping it does well.......keeping my fingers crossed.

Sas for you, my thoughts are telling me that you should take it a little easier than you are and stop stressing over something........don't know what it is but it's playing on your mind. Leave it alone and it will sort itself out.

Oh, I meant to tell you, that when I had the clot I was genetically tested as my eldest DD is Factor V Leiden and as it turns out, she got it from me. For those who don't know, it just means that I'm 5 times more likely to throw a clot than the normal person so have to take precautions when flying or travelling long distances with out being able to move around.

It's nice to have found this thread, as I'm fairly isolated from people who want to have real conversations, but can also joke and kick my ass, if need be. Almost all of my friends are married and no man in my life. I've been spending some of my free time this summer trying to organize my house (much needed). It feels good, but at the same time can be lonely. My children both have special needs, and many people do not understand my life. Last year I began seeing a therapist, and she gets me better then friends who have known me for decades. Anyway, I'm rambling...just happy to have found you ladies, be it middle of day or night.

Gracie, don't know if you like scratch cooking, but there are great gluten free recipes for them. Daughter is gluten free. Gluten free goddes has an awesome website. Her stuff is delicious.

Shep, I dont' know, but am assuming that's what's causing it. (the pain that is). I can take NSAIDS, but they have not nice consequences!!! I have Fiorinal that I take for headaches, but can't take any for the next week because of the biopsy. So until then, it's just the lortab and tylenol. I'll make do but gosh it hurts I'll ask my doctor about the Tramadol.

Chrissy, I have that factor also, and take aspirin daily so I won't have a clot. May have to move to something else, but so far the baby aspirin isn't colliding with my colitis. Love and hugs right back to you

Sheppers - While I do take Tumeric, I can't say I'd swear by it. Palliative Care suggested it and some of the ladies on the stage IV page did as well. I figured what the hey! Also read on Dr. Mercola's page that it is helpful. But I guarantee I wouldn't give up my anti-inflammatories or the narcotics. I have Osteoarthritis & fibromyalgia, along with the cancer.

Sassy - Here's one for you and by the way I am quite stunned by this very stupid question I was asked this morning by the receptionist at my ortho's office. When I told her my hip had dislocated twice on Friday, she asks me "Did you go to the E.R?" REALLY! of course I did you little twit. She comes back with "Well some patients don't" Again, REALLY! Then she tells me well I'll get a message to the doctor to see if he wants to see you in clinic.

I am so aggravated right now that I snapped at the maintenance man when he came to check out the problem with my lock/key. Poor guy doesn't deserve it. I did apologize.
