Loverly ~ I'm just a true blue Carolina Girl ;)

Sensi ~ Wow! Time has flown by. Back to work so soon? Hope you've been taking it easy and have been having a relaxing, pain-free recovery. Too cool you get to meet Smaarty and Loverly for realsies! I don't think there is anyone from SC here :(

Shep - That has got to be one of the cutest little fur-faces I've seen recently. Awwwwwww! Thanks for that.

Also, if you're gonna hide, you need to get behind a full length curtain or whatever. Shoes peaking out will give you away every time you little rascal.

Flippin' heck what more do you have to have going on? (Don't answer that!) Sounds like a recipe to encourage people NOT to try their best! Best wishes for a successful outcome JazzyJune.

Surgeon left a little while ago. The drains are coming out, hopefully I'll get a shower, then I'm being booted outta this joint. Just waiting to hear if I get to go to the SNF or have to go home.

Infectious disease docs. determined that a 6 week course of Cipro bid (tiwice a day) is all I need at this point. And they will be following my progress. I have my post-op appt. on the 20th. Otherwise I feel pretty good and am ready to bust outta here.

Shep - Cute pic of Marti hiding behind the T.P. My advice stands for her too. Of course I can't believe she'd get into any mischief.

Susan - How is DH? How'd the party for Elena go?

    Hi Loverly - Nice pics.

Sensi - Glad you get to go to lunch on Friday. Have a fun time. Your Chance is going miss having his Mama at home when you go back to work, but it'll probably feel good to you to get in the swing again.

I'll be checking back in. Bye for now Ladies.

JunieB ~ Marti is a good girl....she does have her naughty side though :) So relieved for you that the infection was "contained" . Six weeks of antibiotics is a loooong time ~ ain't no bug-a-boos gonna be able to get you! FFH had a total knee replacement 4 years ago. It was weeks before he was able to move about on his own. And he is a tough-guy. You are a Super Woman! (raising my arms and cheering!) Unbelievable that your bags are packed but you don't know where you're going. Home or SNF I hope you will have all the help you need to stay comfy and safe. (((hugs & more hugs)))

Wish I could send you this care package to snuggy and make you laugh while you heal <3

Shep- Yes time for me to join the real world again....parts of me are ready, others are not.  I think I've gotten stuck in a rut, having so much time off. Or maybe it's the anxiety that I've still been waiting for my MO appointment (which is tomorrow) to see what sort of treatment they will be recommending to me.  Still a chance I might be told they are going to consider me a TN, because my ER+ was only 8%.

Jazzy-yes, I think Chance will be loss without me. Though he's my old man, and spends most of his time asleep on the couch or doggie bed.  He's a sweet boy, and I'll make it up to him, by dog park visits.

Jazzy ~ Thank you for posting about Orlando. My heart has been so heavy since reading the news yesterday morning. I thought about, but didn't post anything then. Sunday was a day that already had enough worries. (sigh)

The media will turn this tragedy into a circus. The public will be outraged, rightly so, but not for the right reasons. No matter what your faith, political party or personal opinions we must not loose sight of what is important.

It is not important who you love. It is the ability to love that matters most. Each human-being existing on this planet is a unique individual. We are all different yet we are all the same. We are all the same species living on the same Earth. We don't have to "like" everyone. We do need to love everyone. Because we are all one.

    Prayers for all.

Hey ladies! I tried to read all of your stories the last few weeks. It sounds like we have someone needing some healing prayers for an infection, will do! 🙏

Cool pics of the doggies, lol, smiling big!

    Annnnnd those beautiful yards❤️

I think I posted in May but couldn't find it, probably erased instead of hit post, typical😜

I am feeling so great after taking the detox journey with a gal pal, juicing and coffee enemas, yay! LOLLOLLOLLOL

I would've never thought to do such a thing but darn it's working so well I am back in the gym 5 days per week😍 It's been 2.5 yrs since the gym was on my radar, usually I will workout a couple days and then in bed for a week. Not now!

I told my kids and hubs, they thought I was crazy but now they can see how much it's helped and consider my bathroom time normal!

Btw, I did not personally know anyone in Orlando but mutual friends, yes...it's just heartbreaking...praying 24-7 for peace and guidance for all of us...things have to change.

Lots of love and light to all❤️

Btw-I see this place as a lifetime thing for me, one day I hope to be more consistent on here...just hard right now, doesn't mean I don't think about you ladies, always in my pocket💋🌈

    Steph

Ps-I totally selected and copied my message and I was so happy when my connection was lost but not my message, pasted it to attempt post # 2, yay

I just found out that DGD with family (Evie) are planning to move to Colorado in the next month or so. They all just visited there with family and now want to live there. So maybe next year a trip to Colorado. Never been there.

Smaarty ~ Hope the move takes a loooong time and that you will be able to have many happy visits wherever they settle. Colorado must be a beautiful place - DSS was tempted to relocate after staying for a business trip. He was there in the winter with all that snow and coldness. He loved it! And this is a kid who has only known sunny, warm beach life. He'd have to trade his surfboard for a snowboard! Now he's looking at Texas...... Oh these young people and their insistence on growing up.....and away image

Myra ~ Hey there! I like juice. I don't like coffee - no matter how ya "take" it ! Congrats on the gym workouts, you are very dedicated! You are sooo right. This isn't a thread; it's a lifeline image

FeelingFeline ~ Good Morning! Or is it afternoon for you? Is Ireland 5 hours ahead of US eastern time? I think I'm 5 hours behind no matter where I am!

JunieB ~ Hope you are nestled down in a comfy spot, feeling fine, wherever you are. Found this just for you!

    Hello Ladies!

JunieB, thinking about you and hoping that they will be able to place you in a good SNF so you can concentrate on healing. Wow, Cipro for a few weeks? Did doc mention the possibility of weakened tendons/joint?

Currently at dental clinic. Waiting for local anesthetic to kick in. Nasty bitter taste in mouth. Feels like my cheek is swollen. Need crown replacement. BOO!! Double yuck!! Stressssss

Shep- everyone is reeling again from this, especially the LGBT community. One thing I despise is how the US news exploits the losses by inviting people on the news who loose people in these massacres. They can barely get through it, when did national TV become the best place for people raw with grief? You don't see the BBC doing that.

Junie, I apologize, I didn't check in here till late this afternoon. I could have given you words to use to direct towards a SNF. With Medicare and insurance there are words and actions that cause them to pay and act. You walked a 150ft. Did they ask you do you have a willing and able caretaker? Did they ask can you get up without assistance? Did they ask can you get to the bathroom on your own? Did they evaluate if you were safe in the shower on your own? Did the ask you resources for food? Many more questions. I so apologize. I failed you. I'm sorry.

It's been tough here. I know no one directly in the Orlando massacre. But I know of folks indirectly through friends and family. It hasn't been easy. The politicization makes it's worse. I was on the Mirror thread. This is awful and we need to stand up. Define your politics. Read from right to left.

We here take care of each other, but we have a duty to make our voice known by our vote.

Sassy- i figured you might know people or know of people who were affected. I am originally from CT and that was my case for the Sandy Hook shootings. I had friends who lived in LA who knew people who were killed in the San Bernandino shooting last year. It keeps getting closer.

    Be the change my people.

Awww Ms. Sas, don't be so hard on yourself.

What happened at Pulse was pure evil. I can't understand the twisted mind of the killer. What's even more sad is the comments made by people praising the killer and justifying his action. Self righteous hypocrites!

And to find out the killer's ex-wife knew what was going on and said nothing!! She said she heard him talking about doing something and that he checked out Pulse ahead of time and she even went with him to get ammo?!?! She needs to be put on trial and put away for life! Of course I'm just going off what was reported on the Today show!! But stillWTF?!?!

I also want to send prayers and hugs to all the family members for their loss. My heart truly aches for them all!

Also sending healing thoughts and prayers to the Family of the 2 year old boy playing on the beach at Disney that was dragged off by an alligator! Reports say his father tried to fight off the alligator to rescue his son. My heart breaks for All!

Dear Lord, I pray that You hold all of the Families involved in the newest tragedies in Your loving arms and surround them with Your healing hands. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Amen! How are you holding up with the waiting, Lori?

Ms. Sas, I am really hoping that JunieB is now in SNF. If she was at home, I think she would check in by now.

Feline, thank you. I am glad the hard part was over. That was so stressful. At one point I thought I would have to walk around with the square blue rubber mouth piece they use to prop your mouth open because part of it I think was cemented in. I will spare you the otherdetails.

Loverly, I'm trying to keep busy and not think about it to much. I've been trying to catch up on mowing 3 acres of yard without getting caught in the rain. The past 2 days I've gotten rained but playing in the rain has been ok too! lol
