Thanks Lover, I am determined to get in that car!!! And yes, hoping the windows are open!

Lookingforward, the quilt post made me smile

Yoga, I haven't ever tried yoga, except in a few times in my living room trying to mimic my granddaughters, ages 5 and 10. They do it with their mom, and I admit I am intrigued but intimidated. I can see how it is beneficial, just need to plunge in I guess

My DD with her DGD, Evie. Since Evie was 5 was early, she's about a month behind on doing things. She is more alert now and staying awake for longer periods. She hasn't started trying to talk yet which most babies do by this age. She will be a little behind schedule for about a year or so. My GD said that she giggles in her sleep!

LOL, glad the birthday parties went well. Families can be a pain sometimes.

Got my referral to PT and also made an appointment with an acupuncturist for tomorrow.

Yes, Evie is so cute. She looks like she is thinking in that pic or maybe concentrating on peeing. Seen that look before.

JunieB, are you speed reading? You will surely get people confused. It's ok. You are not alone. A few here have done it.

Forward, one of the reason we hesitate to move out of California because of Mom and Dad. Can't imagine helping them from far away.

I should get back into yoga as my range of movement on the mastectomy side is limited and can be painful if I am not careful with my reach. Thanks again Yogagirl.

    Ms. Sas- thank you!

Yogagirl- getting back into what we used to do, including yoga, can be so scary after all this. You may want to check with your local cancer center(s) to see if anyone is offering a class for cancer patients. I have seen more of these around here and am actually interested to get certified to become an instructor to work with cancer patients. I need to have the time and money to do it, but am exploring this more seriously this year.

Gingerbrew- I am sorry you have had such a rough time. Many women here have not found there way to a good quality of life after cancer treatment. I think we are told the party line "you should be grateful to be alive" by the medical community and think all of us feel that for sure, but the rest seems to get too quickly dismissed. I am wishing you better days sister.

gingerbread, hope your days get better. It is a rollercoaster ride. Been on it for 15 years. Was on antidepressants once, for about 6 months, worked great. Went off and was fine. Wierd ow you know you can handle life again. But today, just went back on the after being off a year or so. You gotta do what you gotta do to feel the best you can. I pray you find something to help. There is a lot out there, from therapy, to excersise, to , I know some who have tried hypnosis, acupuncture, and of course there are meds. Good luck sister :)

Cant remember if I told y'all the latest guess from them. Low blood pressure , causinhnhig heart rate to make up for Bo. I dunno about all that but truth is my Bp always bottoms out when I get to er. Knowing it's probably not such s easy fix with a BP pill. Trying not to get hopes up yet again. Already done that plenty of times.

Sas. Thanks for posting my update love ya

Big hugs for the support ladies. I am so ready to help bbl

Aw Patty I sure hope you can break out of there soon. My double vision has gone mostly away since I went off of Tamoxifen. I have rather low blood pressure, am very tall, and when I stand up quickly I feel woozy. I know you must be so frustrated and are ready to go!

Mag the teeth is from my drinking the full sugar Gatorade constantly starting during Chemo. at the Onc Nurses recommendation. It made me feel so much better I kept it up for about two years when my crowns, I have all crowns, started breaking off at the gum line. The dentist said I had ruined my teeth and referred me to a restoration specialist. I wish insurance would cover it but I feel certain they won't. My mouth does not hurt just now mostly because almost everyone of my teeth has a root canal. I will get to the specialist as soon as is reasonable to begin some sort of plan. Just now I really needed the money Ihad saved up to but this house we are closing on next week. I look pretty strange I think but I stay at home almost all of the time anyway since I can't walk more than 30 or so feet with the back pain.

i hope something works out for your teeth. I look forward to having a good smile again and being able to chew properly. I eat so slow it is rediculous.

    Love you all Ginger

Mags: Chipped teeth can be easily fixed by dentist. My left front was "repaired" 4 times and right front has been done twice, over the past30 years.

Lookingforward - Oops! Apparently my lying eye's lied to me last night because I truely thought I was responding to Loveroflife. So sorry! But Baily is a cutie. Also, I've been working all day on 4 -6" blocks for the corners of that baby quilt I'm trying to get ready to take to the long-armer. Geez! those pieces were small, but I got them done. Tomorrow (today) I think I'll be able to finish assembling it.

Patty - so sad your still not feeling well.

Feelingfeline - No way! Smaarty is a great GM? I have a friend who is 72 and is also a great GM herself. I could never keep up with her. She just goes & goes.

kathindc - Thank you. Believe it or not, that blue quilt was only my second one ever. I did one baby quilt after that, that I sold at a fundraiser.

Hello to everyone else. Goodnight to all.

Ginger a pox on that Dentist sayiny "you ruined your teeth". It is common for crowns to have the gum recede around them. That allows bacteria to get in underneath. Yes, sugar can create an environment that supports bacterial growth. But drugs can majorly affect the mouth too. AND TIME.

Did you know that when a crown is placed the nerve will go eventually. That they're statistics when median and average times of how long this will take. The time is short enough that when I learned this, it was another thing that ticked me off. You pay for the crown, then have to turn around and pay for a root canal that could have been done at the same time as the crown.

Also, sealing of teeth didn't start until around 1980. Fluoride was started being added to the water in the 60's or fluoride tabs started around the same time. The bacteria Veridans Mutans usually colonized the mouth by the time a kid was around 18-24 months. Unexplained is that if the mouth wasn't colonized by that time it never would be. Veridans Mutans is the bacteria primarily responsible for tooth decay. So for us that were born before a certain time we were sunk as far as tooth decay.

I did a search and a thread. Looking for stuff on jaw osteonecrosis. I came across a list of drugs that can impact the mouth.

When you look at the list which I broke up into multiple posts, some will have a "no shit" moment. My first reaction when I saw the material was I was pissed. Not once in all my years has any doc reviewed my list to see if any drugs could affect my mouth. Plus, I've never seen any focus in drug monographs that warn that mouth problems are a problem, except with chemo drugs.

Ginger, this is just one example of a mouth problem

"Xerostomia, or dry mouth, is the most common adverse drug-related effect in the oral cavity. To date, xerostomia has been associated with more than 500 medications. The synergistic effects of medications have been recognized and are increasingly common in elderly patients taking multiple medications (polypharmacy). In addition, habits such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and even long-term use of caffeinated drinks may contribute to oral dryness or the perception of dryness.

General drug classes that are strongly associated with xerostomia include antidepressants and antipsychotics, antihypertensives, antihistamines, and anticholinergics. "

"Importantly, patients with xerostomia are also at increased risk for oral candidiasis, a superficial infection that may cause mucosal sensitivity or discomfort, as well as tooth decay that usually affects the cervical (gumline) and root surfaces."

SAS thank you and yes I have dry mouth. I had my first fillings before I was 5 years old. No flouride anywhere back then. I am going to read your long lists now. Of course you may copy past our convo here onto the mouth thread. I didnt even know we had such a thread. One interesting thing, a family up the street from me had no tooth decay ever, never ever!

    Thanks again SAS.
