OMD Susan your response a page ago was " I answered..average"...But my hubby would say...the door is to hot to touch...so,sweet. But not really...lol" Bless him what a gem. You have gone through so much, weekly, daily..................reacting to a survey negates it.
-
Yes, I agree. Very sweet of DH, Susan. Yours too, Mag.
Deb, aren't we all unique?
-
Zill, after reading your post I noticed the update on your dx. I am sorry. I meant to ask you about the scan you had last week. Hugs. Btw, thank you for creating thethread for Rose.
-
David Bowie has died of cancer. **sob***
-
Thanks lovely. It sucks but is what it is. Hope Rosie likes her thread. I love all the pix.
My three year old uses the beautiful card all the time to wear mismatched clothing or put stuff in her hair. Trying to get her to understand beauty is on the inside.
-
sas. - I guess if I had to pic it would be average. However it more likely to piss me off to have a special door for beautiful people. I probably would choose not to enter with door and start a peaceful protest. Donnie got on the ball... Good boy. So great to see \ hear how exciting you are for your dinner party. To think in the future , after his Nobel, that he ate at your table. I bet you throw an awesome dinner party. Are y'all getting naked in the pool afterwards? Just asking since you are wanting to fix it.
Chevy. Love the home remedies list. Lol. First laugh of the day. Thanks
Jwoo. - glad you are back and sticking around. You were missed. Hopefully things at home have slowed down for you.
Hugs all around
Hootie hoo
-
Patty: I will join you in the protest. I don't think it is right for women to choose between "average" and "beautiful". What message are we giving young girls here? There is already too much emphasis on appearance.
Even in the breast cancer world,,,
**omg you are NOT have recon?? Why not?? This is your chance to get great boobs!**
-
My hubby doesn't care if I look like a supermodel or whatever. He loves me for who I am, even when I look my worst.
-
Mommy - That is awesome! You are one lucky lady (and I'm sure he is lucky to have you as well)!
One day closer to getting answers. Trying really hard to stay busy until friday.
Hugs to all! xo

Major Tom is among the stars.
-
Hubby and I were shocked when we heard the news about David Bowie this morning. I love his songs "Let's Dance" and "China Girl".
-
No one here this morning? I usually follow along, but don't post. I guess I am a bit of a lurker. Anyway, it's 4 am and the dog has kept me up all night. She is behaving so oddly, like she is ready to pounce. She has been out three times, ate, drank, and now she is staring. It's like she is on alert, but I can't for the life of me figure out why.
-
I think the doors were a staged Dove commercial.
Then by strange coincidence I went up to Dublin with DD yesterday afternoon and she noticed as we left the railway station (via an underpass) that we passed under a blue sign with white writing (just like the ones in the video) that said "Love". She asked me why it was there. I said I didn't know but that it was probably part of a campaign - (often the major train stations are used for film promotions).
If the "beautiful" or "average" doors choice was a real event rather than a staged for film one my thoughts are:
1. Lots of people would not notice the signs and would just head for the nearest door
2. If it was me AND I noticed AND I made a choice AND no-one was watching I would choose beautiful.I don't think I am physically beautiful (especially after the ravages of BC treatment) but I would not interpret it as meaning physical beauty.
However 3. If it was me AND I noticed AND I made a choice AND people WERE watching me I would feel under pressure to interpret it as meaning physical beauty and that I should choose average. -
I'm up, but still a bit groggy from sleep. Waiting for my coffee to kick in and for me to come fully alive!
-
I'm here. Gotta put something in my belly. Maybe it's the weather change that's gotten to Allie? You feeling better?
-
-
Allie says ER
-
Morning gals... Where IS everybody? And who is Allie? What did I miss.... as usual? It's 40 degrees there Spookie? It's about 28 here...
Yesterday I saw a gal walking into Ross with flip-flops on, and NO SOCKS! My feet shivered just thinking of that..... She had 2 little boys running ahead of her, so I figured she didn't have TIME to put on real shoes.
-
Not flip-flop weather here...
More like flipping freezing brrr
-
Oh MAN that's cold Feline! I just wish it would be Spring, and maybe get up to at least 45.... When your hands are wet, and you try and open the back door, your fingers freeze to the metal door latch on the storm door!
-
Thing was it was Spring last week, and the week before...
-
-
Good Morning all....
-
morning all. Couldn't sleep pass 5:30. So Evie came home yesterday. Haven't talked to DGD yet to see how last night went. One advantage of having to wait for her was they got 6 nights of sleep. Now the fun begins!
News on the DGS, he can start the process of getting fitted for his new leg now. Original they said 2 months. But it's healed up really well and he's getting around great.
I have a friend coming in today from Omaha, -3 degrees. We're going to Monterey were its suppose to be high 50s. We think it's cold, she thinks it's balmy!
Bbl
-
Feline nice breakdown, very logical. It was a Dove thing. Did you see the interviews? They wanted women to see that we should all walk through the beautiful door.
The radio announcer today said a really stupid thing. "It hasn't been this cold since last winter". I thought it was stupid anyway.
-
I do agree about that announcer - (radio listener thinks in sarcastic voice: "wow, I never thought of that!!")
Smaarty, Evie is an 100% cutie.
Great news about your DGS doing so well on his recovery.
-
good morning
Sc60. Hey there. Glad you broke out of lurker stage and post. Yea !!! Join in and lket us get to know you also. Of course Lurking is always acceptable too. 😀. Ever get back to sleep ?
Feeling feline. Oh my. Too cold for me. Brrr. Do you have to get out in that weather today ?
Smarty. My that Evie is so adorable. Bet you can't wait to get your hands on her. 😀
Morning and hugs all. Stay warm. Budget minded idea for the day... consider under the covers naked with spouse to keep it HOT HOT HOT !!!😊.
-
Patty, we are the only ones that ever talk of such stuff. Well, Chevy did awhile back. Always nice to get hot erhhhh warm that way
HiSc60, Welcome here. Hopefully it won't be long before Chevy gives you a nickname. My Brittany Max did that one time and it was pouring rain. I finally investigated. He'd brought a premature something to the step. Then he pointed another one in the yard. Told him to "find". He pointed one more. We took them to the vet. They were premature bunnies. Vet surmised that the mom went into labor and dropped them all over the place. Max found two more outside the fence when I said "find" after we got home. Sad. I was proud of Max though. His mouth was so gentle on the one he brought to the step, it had only one small skin tear, but the tissue underneath was intact. They were so premature that the skin was translucent and wafer thin and he pointed them all. Almost like he knew they were to delicate to pick up.
FF, yup, that's what I thought.
YAY, Evie's home.
Susan did you come up for air yet ?
Cubbie what up?
Spookie, I turned on the heat finally. This sucks, but nice to have the blue skies back.
-
Hi gals! So what's this Sass? I "used" to talk about that "stuff"???? I still do, don't I? And now Peppermint is catching on, and hopefully feeling better.... YES! Little sister is getting a little "frisky" sounds like! You GO girl!
We've been married over 58 years, and STILL have fun occasionally..... It's funny trying to not only GET on the bed, but then trying not to fall off... and stop laughing! You just don't think about those things when you are younger..... and in the car, or on the motorcycle.... but just wait! I wish you all the same memories!
So "SC60" must be from South Carolina, and is 60 years old? And has a dog that wants her to stay up all night? We COULD just call her ScoobyD, unless she hollers too loudly....
Hope y'all are feeling okay today...... Take good care!
