ALOHA FROM HAWAII !!!!
-
It rained all day our first day here. We were hungry and craving for ramen noodles. On our way out, DD2 spotted this cart on the side of our hotel. She suggested that we "borrow" the cart. "Mom, we don't have to walk . The key is in the cart."
Didn't want to set a bad example. For that reason, we walked in the rain to the restaurant.
Neither of my Dds wanted to look "not cool" in a poncho so they volunteered me.
Noodle soup is wonderful on a rainy day.
Views from our room.
These birds hang around in the garden near the lobby
-
Went for a walk this morning in hope of getting my daily dose of Vitamin D.
Spotted a Hawaiian cowgirl....and
this on the beach, but no wasted person....hmmmm
-
Loverly- it looks like you are in Hawaii for Thanksgiving? I think I see Diamond Head. Love the pics and enjoy your time in paradise!
-
Lover, wonderful pics, beautiful scenery. Enjoy your stay and have lots of fun
-
-
lover, I'm jealous. Have fun in Hawaii, it's freezing here!
Blessing, missed you earlier. Happy to see you post
-
Yes Jazzy, that is Diamond Head. Thank you Kath.
Nice modern house Hiho.
Ms. CHEVY, my MIL would get along with you. She didn't waste and recycled almost everything.
Rose, enjoyed reading your adventure in VN.
Hello everyone I didn't mention.
-
Hi Ms. Smaarty
-
Saw these and thought about you.
-
Goats, good to see you - try to stay dry!
Loverly, so jealous of your trip to Hawaii. You are rocking that poncho! Soup looks delicious.
Mags, nice horse.
No sign of my mouse yet. I'm hoping he took the hint and went to the neighbors.
-
Lovelife-Love the quilts! Dinner looked great! Have a terrific time. Is it warm rain?
That is some cow boy.. something tells me they didn't look like that normally.
-
lovey, We ALL want to come hang with you. I went to Honolulu 40 years ago. Looks good right now. Love the photo with you & DD. Making memories.
Smaarty ! You are cold ? the high here tomorrow is 28. Friday the HIGH is 20 €*~# degrees. I am too old for this. The snow is lovely, cold not so much.
Thanks for all the comments about the house. I feel like a spoiled child sometimes. I live in rural Idaho. The housing market is different than where most of you live. The cost of living here is less than most areas, also wages are not great. DH has been a workaholic since he was 8. We have been lucky in some ways, not so much in other ways. This house is much smaller than the house we raised our kids. The kitchen & master bathroom are bigger. Old house, 4 bathrooms, this house 2. The windows over the garage are just a dormer, or whatever they call that. One floor. I love it, & we are still close to town & friends. Life is good.
Mags, you little tramp....have you been hanging with Sas & CHEVY ?
Happy Turkey Day.
HOOTIE Hoo to you know Who !
Blondie & all our lurkers.....hello, stay warm...
-
Ah GEEZ! All I remember is that horse, and that ummmmmm..........guy~ Did someone else post? Hah!
Love you gals! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! XOXO
-
Rosie, I'm sorry.... Yes the President was speaking.... About the precautions and worrisome stuff since the tragedy in France... All of our major channels carried it.... and now I can't find it..... And honestly I didn't want to hear any bad news, so I didn't listen to it....
Have fun Loverly! I would LOVE the rain! It is so cold here... not much snow yet, just plain cold... NOT flip-flop weather...

I saw this meme and thought of this thread, specifically. I don't know why - maybe because we are not aware that yes, our bodies still have that power. And even if sometimes the defenses fail, it doesn't mean that they haven't done their job thousands of times before.

waiting for fall out.
-
TimTam cheesecake
-
Hahahahaha....so cute. I would like to have a bite of that cheesecake.
Rose, it is a cool rain, not like the rain we have on the west coast this time of the year. Looks like it will rain again today and tomorrow, but no complaints here. Just grateful it's not snowing! Hah! Love the snow......BUT only in pictures.
-
Love tradition, but nice to do something different once in awhile. Always love this painting from Norman Rockwell.
And this one reminds me when I was maybe eight. Was chased by a neighbor's turkey on my way home from a friend's house. Good thing I was faster than the turkey and Vietnamese turkeys are a bit smaller than American turkeys.
-
Happy Thanksgiving.
-
-
Be safe out there. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hole, it's down to 30* at night, which is cold for us. I could never live in snow country!
-
Loverly, before you dig into that cheesecake, remember this:
Here's my family's Norman Rockwell moment, from 2007 or 2008, when I was still able to do most of the cooking, decorating, and hostess duties.
We once did this for 30 people.
-
Mags! Aren't TimTams addictive??? Love them !!!!! The recipe was on the Arnotts web site.
-
Happy Thanksgiving! I am really thankful that I feel good without any pain in my bones. Ms. Chevy, thanks for those Eeyore pics. But when this Eeyore says " I am ok", Tigger would agree too. This is me in Peanut form. I love red and yellow colors.
-
Most beautiful Eeeeeeeeeeyore! My turkey is done...
So I had better take it out.... cover it with the lid, and wait until they get here....
That's when I'll slice it.... then heat up the other stuff, and warm the Hawaiian rolls....
Okay, so only Sass will believe this one....
See, my lower lip swells when I wear the partial now.... and it feels like hot pins in it! I researched this.... I must be allergic to the Acrylic stuff they use.... not the Titanium frame... I have a full upper plate, since 1978.... no problems.... but I think they use different stuff for a partial, to hold the titanium frame together???? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly(methyl_methacrylate)
It just damn figures! I was allergic to the plastic tubing on my hearing aids... AND the plastic frames on the prescription sun-glasses... Now THIS! They fit okay, just that my lip started having issues right away.... I think I will wear them at night, when my mouth is not moving as much.... I have medicated oil/cream to use, like on my hearing aid tubes.... maybe I will build up a tolerance to it, like I did my hearing aids.
I researched this...... and that's all I can figure out....
I am also extremely allergic to Epoxy.... and http://diagenics-co-uk.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/... I used this when I was treating Lacee's hot spots...
Have any one of you had these same problems with "plastic's or chemicals?
