INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Beatmon, that dog story is so funny! I'm glad the vet was able to get the thong out without too much trouble - poor doggie!
Susan, your mentioning the couch reminded me of another good dog story. One of my coworkers had a dachsund. One day she and her husband were at her parents' house, and the dog was left alone in the family room, playing with a ball. Apparently her ball rolled behind the couch, and rather than go around the back of the couch to get the ball back, the dog chewed right through the couch, Tasmanian Devil style. My friend felt terrible, because the couch was completely ruined. Her parents were pretty mad!
Goats, good to see you did not float away!
-
cubbie, when I was leaving the house that day, I said to my dog, I promise I will get more bones....just don't eat the couch.....the silly funny but true thing that just pop out if our mouths...lo
-
You know dogs...all he understood was "eat" and "couch".
-
yeah I am a bit to wordy. Now the cutie we have now doesn't hear well. She gets the finger....not that one...shame on you. She responds to my pointer finger. Amazing how they can learn new stuff to communicat

Goats and Susan, didn't see your post above mine. Love that silly expression on your daughter's face, Susan.
Goats, I used to share a room with my sister when we were younger. One of my job was to wash everyone's clothes and one of hers was to fold them. Well, she hated doing any house work so she was always behind in folding and putting them away. When it gets really bad, she would just move the clothes to one side of her full size bed and sleep on the other side. Glad you are ok.
Susan, Beatmom and Cubbie, thanks for sharing your dog stories....still laughing. Mitzi seems like an angel now that I've heard of your tales.
-
Thank you Enerva for the beautiful rose.

But I didn't think Theresa was that bad! I thought it would be like always, and this was just another bad time she was going through! I just can't imagine her.......Oh God, I just don't want to think she is "dying".... I just get chills.... She was supposed to be moved yesterday... Judy called, and we talked a long time... We can't let her give up... we have to get her back to San Marino, where she can take care of herself.... And walk down to her meals, and ........... Oh man....... I'm going over tomorrow..... I'll get her up, and we'll just act normal...... She's been down before, so we can do it again!
Yes Eddie passed away maybe 6 months ago? But she seemed to "flourish" without all that extra worry.... It's just her body... If they can just get her back on her feet.... I guess I just don't want to think about it..... It'll all be fine.
So Okay.... I can't come up with anything for miss SimpleStuff... And no, I DIDN't know who CB was...Ha! One time on the drinking thread, someone asked what I would like to be called... I said "Elisibeth Dahling".... So then my name was ED! Hah! In fact Theresa's Son, knew a gal named Elisabeth Darling... and I thought that was just so beautiful!
Cammi is still on that thread... She is a regular TART on her FB account! I mean she says things even EYE wouldn't say! She just doesn't know any better.... has no sense of decorum! Still has that ummmm "phone job" so she says.... How she can talk like a drunken sailor is just above my head... But we have to love her.... she needs all the help she can get......
Simply! Tell these gals about your Radiation probs.... I just KNOW they can help...... I can't, but I know they have "been there, done that."

Love the pic Susan. Your daughter looks good for first tri! Love that look too!
Beatmom that is funny!!
By chance, anyone here know anything that will help with tightness from rad's? I have been massaging everyday, but when I do my stretches and exercises, I am really starting to feel how tight it is becoming! Cehvy said one of you may have idea's other than stretching/exercising? I'm still in the 'rag' phase of rad's. I'm dreading them taking my rag away
I also have a little hard bump next to one of my drain tube scars that hurts! Not sure if it may be a cord origin...Gotta talk to PT lady today
My 'under breast' is very sore and has been along with my sternum since surgery, but the 'under breast' discomfort is getting worse. Think there are cords going down to the drain scars not to mention scar tissue the cords may be pulling on...
Hope all have a great day and may all your discomforts *poo* away
-
Sorry to hear about y'alls friend
-
S! We posted at the same time! Okay, we gotta help her.... I can't because I didn' t have that kind of Rads... I told her to use heat and massage? Sass will come up with something........
-
Okay, if it will make you feel any better, I'll send you a bunch of rags......
-
LMAO! Wish it was that easy. The rag tricks the rads into thinking the rag is my top layer of skin so the rads don't go as deep. At some point, they will want the rad's to go deeper
I'm not sure I like the sound of that

Hi ladies- I made the mistake of moving my cell phone into my bedroom at night and have found people sending me middle of the night FB messages or texts that make dinging sounds on my phone and woke me up several times. Some of it has to do with other insomniacs out there, others are on different time zone. The phone is going out of the bedroom after last night!
I will be off line for a bit with a friend coming in to town tonight and a trip up north to my fav hot springs. My last jaunt before I jump into a big work contract that will keep me busy for a year (no complaints there either, as a self employed person).
Will check in when I am back. I know you will miss me, LOL!
-
Aw Jazz! We will miss you but hope it's a great time for all! Enjoy the hot springs and friendly company!
-
Susan3: YES YES YES I will most definitely be around first few days of November, and would be delighted to meet up with you at a place of your choosing (happy to make suggestions, but I don't know how much time/inclination you'll have for wandering off-freeway)
But is early November in Michigan really the best time to make the Florida ladies jealous? We'll see what we can do, though.
-
That'll be awesome if you two get to meet/hang out!! Is there no one in NC?
-
There must be someone nearby for you, Simplicity! Maybe not as chirpy on the boards. (I got lucky here--I'm between points A and B for Susan.)
-
happy do-over birthday, Patty
-
simplicity--I am about two hours west of you (near Asheville). I was inc Charlotte this weekend at old mecklandberg brewery for my brothers engagement party. I've never met another bco gal! Although there is one her in hendo with me. Hoping to go to lunch with her soon! Maybe we can catch up with each other
-
That's great Kjones! I am actually closer to Statesville-Live in Mooresville. Would be great to meet a BCO sister!
-
Mmmmm Yeah. I can see this.
On the patio with snowflakes swirling around for your meetup.
🌴while I'm lying here neath the sun and stars🌴🎶🎶😜

You do live in a beautiful area Spookie! My Aunt used to live in Clearwater. Have you ever ridden over to Caladesi Island? My favorite place in the world (what I have seen of it anyway haha)
-
I can see it from my driveway!!
-
Spookie: (sulking so hard you can see little shimmer streaks over my head) The S-Word is not unheard of in SW Michigan in early November--we had a half-hearted spattering on Halloween last year--but more likely clammy raw soggy dismal.
-
No! No-one lives in North Carolina.... You are there alone.... We've never heard of NC..... You have to move.
-
Sorry, I woke up late, Lilgoats talked both my ears off HAHA Spookie I'll catch you later or tomorrow ___di's coming and doc appointment
