Looks good, just a little tender. I had a tetanus shot today. Going for a massage at 3, can't wait.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, CARLA!! Keep celebrating!!
-
Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I realize chemo brain is at work since I said today's treatment was 6/12! It was really 7/12...wooohooo for that mistake! I came home took a nap for about 90 minutes, and got up and had a massage. I'm so blessed that my good friend is a massage therapist and brings his table to my house. Which is perfect.
Thank you for all your continued support!!
-
Sorry about your mishap, Merilee. Happy belated birthday, Carla
*wink*I'm starting to worry about Ranger Mom. Did she say how many days she was going to stay in the hospital? She may not have Internet access there.
Sending healing prayers to you, Ranger, if you can read this.
-
Prayers to ranger mom.
High five to Carla!
Ouch, merilee... -
Hi Windlass
I had similar thoughts about Ranger MOM. When I had my Mastectomy I went home later that day. Healing thoughts coming your way Rangermom.
-
Someone asked about lotion for dry skin. My acupuncturist suggested lavendar massage lotion from soothing touch and I love it!

-
I'm sure RangerMom is well. It's only been a few days. Hopefully she's got some good drugs and is sleeping soundly and peacefully.
I'm expecting to stay in the hospital 2 nights. Same day? Merilee, you are a warrior!

Has anyone gone on to that link below about Think Pink Live Green. I was looking around at it, too confusing, TMI. Has anyone dug further into the body lotions etc... that have ingredients that is harmful to people with harmone related BC???? I do use body lotion after I shower, and I wear make up... so not sure?
Just wondering if there is more easier to understand info on the topics?
Thanks... HUGS.
-
Hi ginger, i've read up on some stuff, i've stopped using anything with parabens. That is easy to research on the net. I use natural and handmade products only.
-
(Plus lavendar is estrogenic, and we're supposed to avoid it if we're ER+... *sigh* I love lavender. Oh, and tea tree oil, too - also estrogenic.)
Who has surgery next?
-
Tea Tree oil too? I use Melaluca products to clean with, they have tea tree oil in them, and here I think I am using something safe???? NO? what does "estrogenic" mean exactly? Love lavendar too, I'm glad to be getting this info. Actually now that I am thinking of it, my lotion is Renew from Melaluca so its probably in there too. Now I have to go through my lotions etc... and read ingredients I guess. great!
-
RangerMom I have some white fuzz too but if it is my regular hair it probably is white because I was quite gray and colored my hair for years! Tomorrow is my birthday and my husband and I are celebrating by taking a bus trip to Connecticut and going to a tavern for lunch then on a steam train and paddle boat up the Connecticut river valley then back to the train and then home. It will be so fun and relaxing! Then the following day is my last chemo. This last #3 Taxol really was hard on me. Pain lasted longer and so tired after doing so little. I am so glad I am almost done with it!
-
Have a Happy Birthday Geocachelinda, and enjoy that wonderful day
-
Happy birthday Geo!!!
-
Happy Birthday, Geo!!! Have fun. We spent last summer in CT, and we did the steam train and paddle boat trip -- it was very enjoyable! Enjoy your birthday!
-
Geo! What an awesome way to spend your birthday.
-
Just saw on the surgery thread that Rangermom is doing well. I sent her a PM telling her she is a brat for not posting here while we all worried about her LOL
-
So - I just spent some time reading online info on the estrogenic stuff - frustrating.
-
Enjoy your Birthday tomorrow, Geo! It sounds lovely!
Glad to hear RangerMom is doing well. Merilee- you did give me a giggle.
-
happy late birthday carla and happy early birthday geo!! i hope you have a great trip! glad to hear rangermom is doing well!we still love her!ihope everyone has a great weekend!
-
Whew, that's a relief! Thanks for tracking her down, Merilee. Now tell Rangermom to get her healthy, cancer-free rear over here ASAP! (Just kidding ) We love ya, RM

I may be next for surgery--Tuesday! ACK! I thought we were keeping this pretty well from our son. (He's 5.) This morning, he asked if I was going to the graveyard. Ugh. I'm not even thinking much about losing my breasts. I'm just so worried about waking up after the surgery! I don't mean to be a downer, but I'm scared and trying not to be. I know they do this all the time, and I have been under general anesthesia once before with no trouble, so it should all be fine. But then, back then I didn't have so much to lose!
Thanks, women, for all of your support. I told my husband today that even though I'll have another round of chemo (and poss rads) after surgery, that this is the big hump and once it's over we're on our way to healthy. Trying to stay really positive.
-
Profbee - stay positive I am praying and believing you will be fine. Stay strong you are a warrior...
-
Prof b
I had all the same fears about not waking up and such. I also had my son ask me if I was going to be in the grave next after he went to his grandmother's funeral. I cried for two days over that one.
Hang tough girly, you are getting this crap behind you and going at it with fierceness. You are awesome and the only part of your body that really has a problem is a 2cm size thing. You have all the rest of those healthy cells to help you fight.
-
Hang in there, Profbee. Keep thinking positive thoughts, and we'll all do the same for you. The surgery is just one more little bump in the road on this journey -- on the path to getting well again. Thinking of you.....
-
Suzy - had to chuckle at your comment - yup it is a BUMP in the...!!!
Sending you the best supportive thoughts, Profbee!
-
That's funny, Artiecat. Hadn't even thought about my choice of words.....
-
TWO bumps in the road! LOL!!
-
You getting a double, profbee??
