sorry, gals, i "popped in" to give the news on the move, and didn't read much of the "news" here..

sure am glad to hear you and your family are okay, Leah.. the news reports here, are pretty bleak...

i'm so sorry,POT Dreamers, that he got called up, with a new baby.. lets hope this isn't going to be war, but will settle down.. its so scary, hearing all thats going on..

i had a good Thanksgiving, got invited last minute to the oldest jays, so spent it with the grands, and their cousins.. busy, busy time..Jay put pavers out in the back, so the outside /inside room is where we all ended upo.. it was a relaxed atmosphere.. they "ordered in" so no one cooked, or fussed. everyone was in shorts.. i haven't looked to see if we got good pix yet.

i still am way sick, the bacterial stuffs still going on, with the cancers on my leg now infected. my crappy immune system isn't worth a damn these days. we're trying local application of anti bs, trying NOT to go systemic, less we have to. we'll see how it goes.

I also give money to my kids, they have such picky taste.last year, i tried cologne for Json, but he gave it back to me, and told me to return it, he didn't like usher.. he got $$ back , said he really would like a gift better..grrr.. this year, an envelope..

we ARE in for some fun with the grands, though.. Fish has gone "hip hop" and is picking his own clothes out. so, we have a list of places on the cheap to go for him.. have some outlet store here, and thank goodness. sneakers I liked were $275.00 NO WAY!! but DIL showed me stuff she got him, and he picked out at the outlet here, for 10.00 12.00 a peice.. those are my prices. disney dresses is all my grand daughter wears, but we have a woman i buy them from.. not disney, but copies, and fin loves them!!so, its all planned out..a leap frog pad, and im done. one for every payck till xmas...........

hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. i saw a post on Marybes' site, and saw low rider has passed. it was another hit to the gut..DAMNDED BEAST!!! gggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrr3jays

Lisa, I sent BD wishes on FB too but your luncheon was such a good surprise!  Kudos to your DH for pulling it off, too.  And how special that your mother's here!  It's wonderful that at 92 she's still able to travel across the country.

Lisa - so happy to hear you had a wonderful Birthday and a big congratulations on the 12 years.  I have been sort of out of it for a couple of weeks. Trying to catch up on sewing/quilting projects that need to be done before Christmas.

I am so ready to go back to FL to get some rest!  I have been so busy that I am continually overdoing everyday, which equals exhaustion.  I think tomorrow I will declare a pj day and sleep late as I can and then do nothing the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a good week.  AJ

Hi girls!! I've just completed my first day of hydrotherapy and so far I feel great!! Mind you I think tomorrow will be a different story all together as the muscles I worked today tell me off for doing so.......lol.

Tomorrow is going to be hot! hot! hot! Supposed to get to around the 106 degree mark so this little duck will be hidden inside with the aircon going full throttle! Did I tell you I hate hot weather?!.......I so wish summer could be taken out of the calendar .........lol........I think I'm just getting old and cranky!

    Have a great day all!

I'm off to jury duty in the morning. I checked the bus schedule and I'll have to leave at o'dawn o'clock. I'm trying to remember how steep the block is between 2nd and 3rd. Our downtown has some really steep hills. I'd rather walk further on the level than a really steep block. Lazy, I guess.

Good morning ladies, I'm fairly new to these pages but am excited to read & share experiences of our daily lives. I am only a couple of weeks out of surgery but I am finding my new normal life back. I was so afraid before surgery that I would be so down & out in pain that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the upcoming Holiday season. Since I live in the Midwest I was really not looking forward to a long drawn out winter at home either. To my surprise the recovery has been a easier journey than I could have imagined. My husband returned to work after spending the first 2 weeks helping out around the house & it has been fairly quiet but I went on a short walk in the cold air around the neighborhood yesterday & it felt so good. Looking forward to spending time with 2 of my 3 grandson's at Christmas & hope for a trip out West around New Years to spend time with 3rd Grandson. Looking forward to checking in with everyones posts..

Chrissy, Thanks for the warm welcome. Fortunately my cancer was diagnosed before it became invasive. The final path report shows no need for chemo or radiation!

Barbe, hydrotherapy is exercising in water so the water takes the stress of gravity not your body. Because your body is supported by water a disabled or injured person can do more of a workout with a greater amount of ease than if they were doing the same exercise in a gym. It is encouraged by physiotherapists if your skeletal problems put you in the category of age or disability so you can regain strength and stability. I really did enjoy my session and am looking forward to my next. I have not woken up with sore muscles this morning which would have happened has I tried to do the same amount of exercise any other way than in water.

    Peg that is fantastic news!

I'm going to try for a little more sleep as its 5.00am here and waaaaay too early for me to be awake......lol.

Chrissy, so hydrotherapy is like water aerobics? Do they play music and it is done with a group and a leader(teacher)? I'm so glad you get to exercise in a safe way.

I was finally cleared to start to exercise again, but will take it real slow. I have a friend that is a personal trainer coming over tomorrow to give me some options. The pulmonary doc does not want me out in crowded areas without a mask. sigh. Right now I am using a scarf most of the time. Still slowly weaning myself from the steroids. I am so tired most days. I'm hoping the exercise with give me more energy.

So I have a dumb question: Does all IDC start out as DCIS? I have forgotten if I ever knew that fact. (older woman with less sense)

    love you all

Hi Nancy so glad to see you!!! Yes, in a way I guess you could say that hydrotherapy is similar in that it is performed in water but is no where near as strenuous as water aerobics. Each exercise pan is individually prepared by a physiotherapist and is tailored to your particular need.

I'm really happy to hear that you have been cleared for some exercise as it definitely does make you feel better.

Yes all IDC starts as DCIS and it breaks through the duct wall to become IDC. Strange some of the questions that pop into out heads....no??

Thanks Chrissy. That hydrotherapy sounds great. Tailored to your needs. I am going to try not to jump into exercise with my usual gusto. That's how I get myself in trouble. I still think I can do what I used to be able to. LOL So I'll tell you what this woman suggests for me tomorrow. I have come to the point where I can take direction from others.

I have switched one of my meds and my mind is definitly clearer. So all sorts of interesting thoughts run through there day after day. Like how you are complaining of the heat and we just had our first snow fall. Now I have to bundle up to just take the dog for a walk. Our world is so diverse and beautiful. I have so much of it I want to see.

    Welcome to peg

Everyone else a big Holla! Hope all are safe and dry.

    Nancy
