Thanks socal.
I imagine from there , you just enter the url.
-
purple, can't help you. As I've said manny times I only post pictures from other sources on the net. Once a pic has been up loaded you usually only need to copy and paste. Anything else is beyond me.
-
Purple once you have your pics in either Picasa or Photo-bucket you just left Vick on the photo and then right click on copy URL then come back to BCO and click on the little tree and then paste the URL to the top line. Adjust the size if you need and then click enter. Hope this helps.
Live b hugs. Chrissy -
Wow, took me a while to catch up with all the posts. I had a great time on my short trip. It took all day to get there because of the other winter storm. Sometimes getting off the island is more than half the battle. But once we got there it was so fun to see my BFF from high school. We celebrated my bday in style. And both my children came too. I just had to schedule a nap time into each day.
Just wanted to say hi!
purple, did you figure out the picture posting? You have to use the little tree icon.
-
Well, posting a photo here didn't work. I have a Mac Pro laptop from which I tried to post a photo from Picasa with no luck. siiiiiigh!
-
Nellie from Picasa you click on the picture and then copy URL then return to BCO and click on the little tree. A box will open and in the top line you right click then left click paste. You can resize if you want a couple of lines under that and then at the left bottom of the box click on insert and your pic should appear. Good luck!
Oh and welcome!.......lol
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in CA. Last year cameras were set up just about a mile or two from the loch. They caught big ol' mountain lions on it. I think I would faint if I even ran into one! But, on the lighter side, we have plenty of wild turkeys. Some years they ignore my place, but last week I counted 15 of them in my front yard when I took the garbage out. Also, gophers are once again digging under my porch... They seem to stick around for a few months and then they just move on.
-
Hi Mountain Gem welcome!! Sounds like you fit right in. Mount lion in your area?......wow!! Those animals are huge!! Bit brave of those wild turkeys in your front yard, they obviously don't realize it's getting close to Thanks Giving!!.......lol.

Found out yesterday my daughters meeting with the deer totaled her little car. Airbag and broken seatbelt along with major front end damage and something with the radiator. She was really blessed not to get hurt. The insurance company gave her a good price for her car though, and shes already found a new one. Its a little suv and I believe a little more safe for her and the baby. These country roads are dangerous right now. I dont even like to go out after dark. We see at least 3 or 4 deer crossing the road every evening.
-
Oh Mary I'm so glad your daughter and her baby a okay. The car must have been a right mess for the insurance to write it off. The small SUV is a much better and safer vehicle but still your DD needs to drive with great care if there are so many deer around. In this instance, it sounds like her gardian angel was watching out for her.

"By the Light of the Moon"
-
Chrissy, thank you for the tutorial for posting pictures. Now, if I can only remember how I did it and to figure out how to resize them. The photo is of one of my art quilts done in a collage techneque that I call "ortwork" ... a play on the words "artwork" and "ort", the British term for "scraps" because that's what it's composed of bits and pieces left over from my and friends other projects. To see a lot of lake pieces composed in this manner, go here:

-
wow, that is a real piece of art work, Granellie! Beautiful.
-
Wow! Those are spectacular Granellie! I thought at first the photo was of a painting.
-
I would be happy if I could paint something that beautiful!
-
Wow..we have a new quilt show opening in 2days .l just love your quilt!
-
Thanks to all of you who've commented on my art quilt, "By the Light of the Moon." It's one of 3 in a lake mini-series which is a part of 100 lake series that I'm getting close to completing. Those 3 pieces were inspired by the coloration of a pair of felted slippers.
To read about the slippers and the 3 lake quilts go here:

I "loose myself" when creating and sewing. Sure am glad that I feel up to doing that.

What stunning work.
I have two reports to finish then it is on to quilting. Have Christmas wall hanging to do and a quilt for DD (have done 1/4 of the top). Then friend is coming for a few days to help me get sorted with some other things I have started. We are having a UFO time -unfinished objects. Will post pictures once they are done - haha. Granellie you would love the things my DD's MiL does, she does the most stunning art quilting - yours reminds me of hers. Mine is basic patchwork I am afraid although I have made several religious stoles and hanging which are more into the art type but haven't worked with silk for ages.
Have had a few bad days with RA and then a super migraine. Sometimes the stress of having another person in the house gets at me. Some of you know that my sister lives with us because she has nowhere else to go. She thinks its hard for her but what about DH and I, especially when we have to deal with her family. Not sure what US TV programme to liken it too but it goes from one drama to another and my sister spends a good deal of time yelling at them over the phone. DH gets really annoyed with the phone calls. Oh well what can we do but I can see we have to work something out before DH retires - wish my brothers would take some resposibility. Sorry to moan.
Must get going as my meeting is 30 mins away from here.
Big hugs to all.
-
Granellie, those are absolutely beautiful!
So my sweet new babies have been given their names - Hodaya and Avigayil. Hodaya means "thank you G-d" and Avigayil means "my father rejoices". So we know how they feel about these wonderful additions to their family.
Actually I think the only one who isn't delighted is my grandson. My DD has 3 other children, 1 boy and 2 girls, so he said to me, "You know, I really wanted a boy". Yeah, no kidding, I'd never have guessed. He went from 2 sisters to 4 sisters and doesn't buy into the "double your pleasure" bit. My DD has a lot on her hands now. I'm really glad her MIL came for a while to help out (MIL lives in Miami). She's going home Sunday so I'll be taking over then in the Extra Pair of Hands category. What I'll probably do is go out most days in the afternoon to help when they come home from school, give them dinner, and do baths and bedtime. It's a lot for my DD to do alone (her DH gets home from work late) but for me it's a pleasure.

Yes, thanks Chrissy.
Gorgeous work!
Maca , I am so glad you had such a wonderful b'day!!!! -
Granellie, what gorgeous work! You are incredibly talented, and thank you for sharing with us.
Leah, yes, it sounds like DD will have her hands full not just for a little while but for a long time! I'm glad you're able to go over and help her out, and also provide some TLC for the outnumbered grandson. Congrats again! Double ones, that is.
A big welcome to you, Mountain Gem. Please come back often and tell us about you!
Mary, I do know what you mean about deer around here! Glad that DD is okay and has already found another car. Isn't it mating season for the deer? I think so, but not sure. The choir director at our church is legendary around here for either hitting or getting hit by deer. So far the count is 6 over the past few years. And unfortunately, there's little one can do to avoid it when it happens.
Glad you had a good birthday, mac!
Hugs, Kathy

Welcome Mountain Gem
and Granellie - what stunning quiltwork. You and Barbe58 are truly artistic.
Aly - Hugs.
Isabella, where are you?
3Jays, thinking of you, hoping all's well.
AJ, hope you had a great visit in FL, and thanks for the update.
-
Chrissy, this little bird was standing where we were in Coronado today.
-
oooooo.... love the photo of the bird ... especially the light on the gentle waves.
Leah, OH the fullness of your life ... having twins in the family is an amazing experience! I wish you lots of energy and joy!

I had a great time in FL with Barb and her DH. Got to go hear GreenFlash, who are fantastic by the way. Also had time to do some actual reading for the sake of reading. I haven't had time to do that in a very long time. I got some much needed rest and of course a good visit with Barb. Got home and today had a full day of sewing/quilting class then went to pick up Daisy Dog from the vet, she had her teeth cleaned today and this evening her mouth is sore so it was baby asprin and snuggle time with her. Off to bed now. Hope everyone has a good nights rest and has plans with family a/o friends for Thanksgiving. AJ

So impressed with the creativity here. I'd love to be so inclined. Someone once told me that everyone has an artist hiding inside - mine is still hiding. Fortunately my daughter is clever with knitting. At some point I'd like to post a link to one of her published patterns.
-
Granellie, Your quilts are absolutely amazing. Thanks ever so much for sharing.

Here is a link to a pattern designed by my ever so clever daughter for my birthday. It relates to BC as well. It's a lace scarf she designed for my birthday, with a story.

Edited because I forgot how to spell BC!
