Save some of those fresh brains Barb!
-
Barbara, was there a reason (precautionary, maybe?) that you had brains for lunch? Or do you just like the taste?
I think the whacko Rev. Camping only reads the Old Testament -- none of this new post-BC claptrap for him
-
Linda, the brains just happened by so I grabbed them.
-
Well, it never hurts to have extra brains!
-
Even stimulated ones!
-
Blue .. you're cracking me up ... I'm sure your stimulated brain is just delightful!
hugs,
Bren

Barbara, that CDC link cracked me up. I bet more people have looked at the emergency preparedness guidelines since that went up than in however many years they've been posting the plain old vanilla list.
The rapture crowd didn't worry me all that much until Barbara's second link. Now I'm scared and worried - really killing their pets?!!!
I've gotta get out of here before the zombies get me - or did they already?
-
Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Have some brains R_R.
-
Well, I'm stuck with a problem...what wine would go with that?
-
Hmmmm. How about a nice blood red burgundy?
-
Well, I'm all out of French wines, but perhaps a domestic cabernet sauvignon - or would a pinot or even a merlot be better?
-
I think a pinot. It is heartier.
-
I don't know about you guys, but if I'm getting raptured, I want it in the privacy of my home.
-
Hey, just heard that the singer in DH's old band is singing the anthem at the Lighning/Bruins game tomorrow! Watch for her. Molly Smith.
-
The rules about wines are simple. Brains = white matter? Need a white wine.
As for those earthbound pets... there's a solution for them, too: http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/ My dh is saying he wishes he'd thought of it first.
Dinner tonight is grilled pork loin with a colored vegetable and some nasty, starchy potatoes. And, some Sister Schubert's yeast rolls, if I can locate them in the Antarctic ice fields (http://www.sisterschuberts.com/products/nutrition.dT/dinner-yeast-rolls-10ct-bag).

Oh Boy....How are they gonna get to the pets with all the earthquakes going on and battling zombies. That's what I'd like to know. See, this is where being an athiest comes in handy...you get to take care of your own pets.
-
Dinner tonight is enchildas verde with rice and refried beans.
-
omg, otter!!!!!
Thats right up there with the Seattle group who is collecting for Rapture Relief to take care of all the heathens during the hard times ahead. . . . . too too funny!
Bighest monster and MIL are going out to dinner tonight in advance of going to see "the Magic Flute." The little monsters and I are probably having left over spagetti and meatballs (though I am sooo stuffed from a pork confit sandwich and beet/arugula/goat cheese salad, that eatting has zero appeal) and watching tv
-
Otter, I do have a nice riesling but I already gave up on trying to pair a wine with brains and ate my - what has become usual - Friday night gluten free pizza.
-
Pork souvlaki over rice with tzatziki and string beans with garlic and EVOO, and nice chardonnay to wash it all down.
Otter -- I thought brains were grey? Or do I have white matter in my head? (Or any matter, for that matter -- sometimes I wonder! -- maybe the zombies already got me).
-
Brains have both grey matter and white matter. The grey matter is the cells; the white matter is the nerve fibers. Here's a pic from http://www.umm.edu/imagepages/18117.htm:
Really, though, when it's fresh, a brain is just a whole lot of mush. I guess I need to read more about those zombies....

Blue, that nutcase and others (Pat Robertson, Fred Phelps, etc) give us intelligent and thoughtful Christians a bad name. I can't wait to see how they explain all of this next week.
I am a bit concerned, however, because I just sent an email to a friend in Australia and it bounced back. I pretty sure no friends of mine are qualified to be "raptured"!!!!!!
-
Hannibal Lector prefers a nice chianti when he dines on brains.
I'm much rather have enchiladas verde -- one of my favourites. And the only rapture I know of is when I have a really yummy dessert. Or when Boston Boy was really on his game.
-
i am offline again for a few days and the first thing i see is MEAT GLUE. gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
now i will not be able to get it out of my head
-
Cherryl, that will be interesting. haha! Rapture is chocolate lava cake with french vanilla ice cream.
-
Otter, I'm gonna teach those zombies a thing or two. They eat my brains they're gonna get zapped.
-
Blue,
Rapture is a good looking man with one thing on his mind. That's not going to happen either! Woe is me.
-
Oh I don't believe that! You're one fine looking woman!
-
Will the Rapture happen all at once like a Big Bang, or will it be like New Years, and we can watch it happen in Paris, then NYC, then Denver, etc per time zone??
-
Anne, it's suppose to happen in time zones beginning in NZ, 6pm local time.
Blue, you are very kind, but it's been a severe drought in the relationship department for a while!
