Thanks Notself - they seem to be the same price here and they are available - I think I'd rather a more permanent fix though.

Lassie - because I love him Happy I'm sure he would do it if I insisted.

Just because I'm in one of those "toxic" moods, I was thinking of renaming this thread "The DUMB, Duped Lefties", better known as "IGNORANT, DUMB, DEAD ROCKER GROUPIE GIRLS".

Blue, we were posting at the same time.  Faux Farce News and friends continual digging into Benghazi is so foolish.  It must be such a downer to have no means of attack towards the President.

Stupid spelled backwards is diputs.  I looked up the meaning for that in the Urban Dictionary.

diputs - Urban Dictionary, April 21: Runner's Boner

    www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Diputs

She's diputs. by Azarizzle Resendizzle January 20, 2008 33 13. Words related to diputs: dipoots diput dumb retarded reverse stupid.

Anything the seem to feel they can sink their teeth into.....seems to be things that have been explained and efforts to twist and distort in the end will not change the results.  As a further note on that....some things coming up because their is such fear HRC will run I think are not going to pan out any better.  Ms. Lewinsky now wants another chance at her 15 minutes and a little cold hard cash I'm sure won't be turned down either.  She was an EXTREMELY consenting person at the time and should have known where it would all go.  She made some poor choices and was foolish....bringing all of this up again -- now -- makes one a bit skeptical.  Ultimately -- can't believe it will go very far.

    Jackie

    ETA:

Ah yes.....dumb and duped -- is that all they've got.  Benghazi - Benghazi - Benghazi.....

ETA a second time !!!!! Probably sounded harsh about Lewinsky.  There are always choices and yes....I can see one would have had to be REALLY strong to resist a President --- but fellows much less then he are often not resisted either.  I've personally known  a few fellows made to suffer for much the same types of behaviors and since I am female I hate to admit it, but in those cases the females knew what they were doing......and chose to do it -- finding the ways and means to ensure these incidents.  I don't think there is much here.   Farce News and even a few others will do their best, but some things never fly.

    Hi Gals,

Gorgeous day today ... going to be in the low 90's!  Walked the dogs early while we still had some shade from the oak trees.

Blue ... You crack me up.  Call me whatever you want .... bawahahahaha!  We can rename this thread if you'd like.

I thought this one was pretty hilarious ... "IGNORANT, DUMB, DEAD ROCKER GROUPIE GIRLS."  If we're going for the dead rocker look, I sure used to enjoy Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Suzie ... There are a few things I do for Tim that get on my nerves too.  And I do them every week before he gets home and then I do his laundry and other stuff.  He works really hard and even though I don't like the extra chores, I do them happily cause he treats me better than gold.

Hope everyone is having a great day,

    Bren

Yeah, Blue - I like'em both, so why don't we combine them?  Don't forget gangstas.  Spangled scooter gangstas.  LION CUBS.

This is fun, we could create the longest thread name, tho dead rocker groupies is mighty FINE.  Mighty. Fine.

    Bren and ladies,

It is spitting snow here. May I repeat that? Snow. I am just spitting.

Had frickerdillars (sp?) for dinner last night. Remember those anyone? I'm on high dose steroids and eating my way through the day after struggling to eat for quite a long while. I'm like a hobbit....1st breakfast, 2nd breakfast, 11:00s.....It's kind of fun until I try to squeeze into my thinner clothes.

    Hope everyone is fine.

Loved the Metta Sutta notself. It came along on a day when I wanted to smash everything.

    sunny,

Metta helped me get through those first months after diagnosis.  I wished metta to my cancer cells in the hopes they would slow down.  Even if it didn't impress the cancer cells, it helped me deal with the stress.

sandy - that's why the goddesses created elastic waists & stretch material.  We don't have snow ( yet?) but it was well below zero a few nights ago, now  "balmy" 60.  Big article in today's paper, we are a MONTH behind in growing season. Not a flower on the strawberry crop, pick you own is big around here.  Trees are just starting to bud.  Very, very strange.

But don't anyone think this has anything to do with climate change ( *snark*)

BTW, anybody hear what the tundra tart has to say about the creation of a Museum of Women in History in Washington DC.  Hysterical.  She really wants to make sure no one ever learns about Sybil Ludington ( who rode MUCH farther than P. Revere) but....

She is quite the teasey twit when it comes to facts ( just swirling in that hair of hers ) isn't she, Sunny F.

Ooh, I am so glad we are not still having snow.  In fact, we are getting ready for storms and are thinking they will come in a few hours.   We have doors and windows open and fans on.  It is not too bad inside though it is low 80's outside with a bit of humidity.  It is early in the yr. to turn on air.  We have not done it.....sometimes until mid August.  I know it will be on much sooner than that.

blue ... indoor cats have been known to dart out, so hopefully your kitty friend is an escapee.  Might ask around and see if you have any kind of local Lost Pets FB page.  Another good tip I read was to post a big Found Kitty sign with picture in your (or your friend's yard).   If cat hasn't gone too far her people might be walking around looking for her.

Warm here today but storms on the way tonight.  Which means this dumb rocker groupie should probably go mow the grass even though it really wouldn't need it yet if it wasn't going to rain.

Glad to see you back Sandy!  Waving hello and sending good wishes to all.

One of our cats got away in the plumbers' truck. It was several days before the poor bedraggled thing made it home.

My grape vines aren't showing signs of life yet. Their job is to make my front porch private so if they don't do their thing I will be exploring outdoor drapes.

Saw the doctor - we are going try an injection of synvisc fluid to start with - costs a bomb, but it should give me 6 months of relief. The good news is that I probably will only need a half knee replacement not full and there is another surgery which can give you an extra 10 years before needing the joint replaced - it's called a High Tibial Osteotomy which straightens the leg, but I don't like how they do it.

    suzieq,

I'm not pushing the braces but you should know that my DH's knees were bowed out like he was riding horses his whole life. (He doesn't ride.) The braces straightened his knees as well as supported them.  This is why he can walk around the grocery store without braces and minimal pain.  With any longer walks or walking on uneven ground, he does wear braces.  Perhaps talking to your doctor could help you decide if the brace can be as good as the surgery.

Notself - I did tell the doctor about the braces, but we decided to try this injection thing first and see how it goes - it's a bit cheaper than a brace.

My DH is getting injections twice a year now.  Each one lasts about 4 months.  He is really looking forward to his next one.  He has other health issues which make surgery the last resort for him.  Good luck with your injection.

    Morning Gal Pals,

Gosh it got warm yesterday ... low 90's.  I had to give in and put the AC on before bed last night.  Going to heat up again today, so think I will keep the house closed up all day.  Have to walk the dogs early and then get started on the mowing.

Work has been slow this week ... only one report.  I try not to panic, but it's hard not to.  Tim has had a great week mile-wise so that's good.  He sure works hard.

Jackie ... Can't believe you could go all the way to August without the AC.  I have so many windows and they are floor to ceiling that let all the heat in during the afternoon.  Once the big oak out back leafs out, it will provide some shade for the windows on that side.

Wabbit ... You're funny ... this dumb rocker groupie is going to mow the fields early today!!  Supposed to rain tomorrow.

Suzie ... Hope the injection in your knee gives you some relief.

Lassie ... My iris' are blooming now.  Used to have a grape vine out back, but it never got many grapes on it, so I took it out.  I think it had probably been there about 60 years!  I have two huge chestnut trees and I HATE THEM.  They are now dropping some kind of long flower-type thing all over the driveway and car.  They are so messy.

Hope everyone has a great day ... TGIF!

    hugs,

    Bren

From another dumb rocker, we are hot here.....in the 80's and awaiting another rain storm.  We had it all night long and it will return though there is some sun out right now.  Just makes it hotter.  We could and probably will continue to get storms off and on through Sunday.  Sigh !!!!  We did not get our April showers much.  They seem to be coming now.

I'm so dumb though....I'm buying into that climate change stuff as I'm humming along to Janis Joplin.  Am I getting dumber or what.?

Blue love the graphic.  Going to be on late tomorrow.  Going to spend the night at the Dr.'s house.  A little over-night get away for them.

    Hi Guys,

Well ... I didn't make much progress on the mowing.  I am fit to be tied!  I got about a fourth of the upper two fields done and the belt fell off the mower.  No matter how hard I tried, I could not fix it.  And Tim won't be home until Sunday. So I gave up on the mowing ... it's too large and steep of an area to use the pushmower.  I decided to get out the blower and get all those stupid things off the driveway and car that fell off the chestnut trees.  Bad move.  I started choking from my allergies.  I just can't win today!

Jackie ... It's staying cool inside today as I've kept everything closed up.  We're forecast to have storms tomorrow.  Damn .. that grass is just going to keep on growing!

Blue ... Love the pic!  That poor dog.

    hugs,

    Bren

    Bren,

Forgot to tell you....we are surrounded by 60 or 70 trees at our house so it can stay fairly cool so to speak.  What tends to get to us is when the humidity soars.  Then we are forced to turn on the air to keep from feeling like we are melting right down to the ground.  We have no idea how it is going to go this yr.  Most yrs. if not August....then we can usually get into the first week of July.  It has been the last four yrs. or so, REALLY hard to predict how things will actually go.  For instance....though quite warm last summer --- it was cooler than a lot of our summers to even needing a light jacket when we went to Balloon Fest in third week of Aug.  Of course, we go at night......first night they always have fireworks and we don't know who puts on the show, but they are always excellent.  I try not to miss that.

Dh got our yard done yesterday and I am so glad.  Seemed like leftover leaves, and patchy high grass ( the few places that do stay a bit sunnier in the yard )  were making us look so un-kempt and shabby.  Usually, I get out and help, but I had other things that needed attention.  Sure glad he was able to do it.

    Jackie
