Enjoyful .. It's still snowing here as well, and it's really coming down.  I wish it would go away.  Now we're going to have another huge mud fest outback.  Tank ran out quickly to pee ... and brought back in a ton of muddy footprints.  My sis sent me a video of little Don Diego trying to walk through the snow on her back deck.  Poor little guy .. his wiener was getting frozen!

Jackie .. I hope you're right and the doctor just hasn't had time to get back to me.

    hugs,

    Bren

Can you say "wiener" on this board??  ;-)

We're getting snow squalls but nothing that sticks.  We're supposed to have temps in the 50s Thursday but of course it'll be all rain, all day.

Kam .. I mentioned that poor little Diego's wiener was getting frozen from walking in the snow.

Enjoyful .. It is still snowing here.  I am about done with this weather!  Should I have said penis instead? Happy

Sunny -- someone once sent me knitting instructions for a "wilie warmer".  I expect that's what Scotsmen wear under their kilts.

c4c, you  do know, of course, that the current reigning monarch of the British Isles, is Elizabeth the Second, everywhere BUT Scotland, where she is (technically) Elizabeth the Second of England and Elizabeth the First of Scotland....the interesting things one learns being married to a Scot, lo those many years ( thank the FSM) ago!

    Morning all.

Just to add to the conversation about the monarchy in UK. On the post boxes in England it says ERII in Scotland  just ER. If Charles becomes King he will be Charles II of England and Charles IV of Scotland.

It is obviously what my DH refers to as bras monkey weather in your part of the world. Coming into autumn here with the first colour changes but here in the North we don't get great autumn colour though you do further south.

I'm glad I asked about the propriety of "wiener" because now it's in every post.  It's the little things in life (pun intended) that make you happy!

C4C ... does your hubby's cousin even have a clue that the health insurance she gets as a public school employee/retiree is considered by those who would agree with her reasoning to be ... a case of taxpayers being forced to pay for her insurance and they should not have to?  Nope ... didn't think so.  It's always other people's stuff that is mooching.

Some snow bursts here today but nothing sticking.  It is very cold and windy though.

Congratulations Suzie on the expected grandchild!

Bren ... right after Suzie posted her news, Blue posted 'me too'.  She had me thinking for a minute that I'd missed an announcement too.

LOL ... have 2 doggies inching ever closer and staring me down and wondered why.  Looked at the clock and it's their dinner time.  Darn dogs can tell time better than I can.

I tried that "p" word once here, with "rancid" and I got censured. I bet if you use rancid with weiner, well hmm, that makes sense, actually, since weiner is a german hot dog.

Little Quinn got sick yesterday.  I was so worried.   Seems he had a reaction to me changing his food (to something even better).  I guess that isn't it a old wives tale about changing a cat's food.  To top it off Emma escaped my cat fence last night.  Even Ms Boo-dini never did that!!  (She's quickly moving up to bold an dominent cat status.)  I almost had a heart attack.  My sweet little girl knows nothing of cars and other cats.  Luckily she was hiding in a shed in my neighbor's backyard and my other neighbor spotted her little face.  I'm such a helicopter mom.

Whew !!!  All's well that ends fairly well.  As for Quinn or really any animal that has a human caretaker ---- when changing food......the new food needs to be interspersed with the old.....more and more new food each time the dish is filled so that the animals get a slow introduction to what you wish to change their food too.  Same way for dogs.....they will react ( usually poorly ) and if the animal is a lot older when you make this change....even slower is better.  Learned the hard way on this.  I've fed my cats Diamond Active Cat for a long, long time now.  Just don't really see any problems.  For a good long while before that I had to buy Purina which was for cats who had urinary issues too often.  Apparently ( o' please never change the formula ) The Diamond suits cats with touchy urinary systems just fine......its been 6 or 7 yrs. and nary a twitch.

Kam, that is often what cats who don't normally get out will do.....depending on how long they have been inside only cats.....they boldly let themselves out, then panic and look for a hiding place.  One of ours got out and obviously stayed under the same bush in the back yard for two days.  Thank goodness we found him.  Quinn's color but he was a Manx.  Also....Emma is being a natural in taking over "ahem" as top dog.  Quinn is the pip-squeak from here on out, but I'm sure she is going to love him -- after he REALLY gets who is in charge here.

Happy morning.....there is sun out and we will warm a bit.  In fact, the whole week ( though rain a day or two is forecast ) looks springified  which is not a word, but it does describe things for me.

Not really ready for Spring cleaning.....I think it is going to be Spring and Summer cleaning this year.

Enjoying my blue line thread.  Also the other blog I don't go too.  Sweet freedom.  Just put this out to remind Sunny how great her advice really is and remains.

Hi Jackie .. happy morning to you!

It's cold ... just at freezing, but the sun is out.  Too bad the snow isn't melting.  We've got lots of rain forecast for Friday and Saturday.  It will just make more damn mud.  I'll be so glad when it finally warms up.

Kind of a quiet Wednesday ... no work has come in so far this week.

Has anyone heard anything from Chickadee?

Only 2 1/2 weeks to go and I'll be in sunny San Diego!  Yay!

    hugs,

    Bren

Sunnyflowers .. I hope that's the case with Chickadee ... too many cards to get through!

It's a whopping 36 degrees now.  Oh boy!  I walked the dogs in the snow and with the wind blowing pretty hard it was really cold.

Quiet around here so far today .. hope everyone is okay.

    hugs,

    Bren

bren - it's going to be 5 tonight, with a supposed -15 windchill.  It is SO cold today, I'm wearing a polartec hat.  And of course, a down parka.  March?  Think calendar must be wrong.

Usually putting up screens on windows at this time of year.  We take them down so the snow won't pile up between screen & window.  It's gonna' be July before I open windows ;(
