Jackie, just wanted to say that our next furbaby will be a rescue. I am so with you on that score. I'm not ready to let go yet and Chloe still has life, although she is fragile. We took a little walk around the block today. She seemed to really enjoy sniffing and wandering through the grass.
I'm trying to work through all the sad stuff going on right now. -

Did anyone see this??????

Holding you in my thoughts. I so wish we could do more for you.

Thursday's scans showed more progression in the bones though nothing in organs yet. I'll go off my current trial Tuesday and talk to my onc and two others this week about the next step in treatment. I know chemo's in my future; it's just a question of which one.
Blurgh. -
What a handsomest horsey! You two look so natural together! -
Sometimes, I just want to scream! -
Me too. So much craptacular news lately. :-( -
Kay .. thank you for the note about Chickadee. I posted a note on her Stage IV thread. My heart just goes out to her.
Enjoyful .. you look fantastic on Sampson. Nice seat and posture. You make it look so effortless! I didn't like hearing about the progression of your bone mets. It's very upsetting and has me pretty pissed off. I hope whatever treatment is next will be kinder to you.
Jackie .. my Tank is a shelter dog. He's got the body of a rottweiler and the color and head of a lab. A long time ago we did get two long-haired weiner dogs from a breeder. Those guys were nuts ... think the shelter dogs have a better temperament.
hugs to all,
Bren -
Thanks, Bren! Yeah, I can't understand how it could progress with Femara, Tykerb, AND Afinitor, but it found a way. Bastardly disease. -
E - what a gorgeous couple you and Sampson make
Hope the new trial works out better. -
E,
You look wonderful on the back of that lovely horse jumping through the air! Best wishes.
-
E, just want to echo what everybody else has said, you and Sampson look fabulous!!
Good luck on the next trial. -
{{{Chickadee}}} and {{{E}}} - You are both in my thoughts in fighting this damn disease. Oh the horse, oh the woman on that horse, that jumping horse. Beautiful, so beautiful. What a beautifully colored coat Sampson has too.
Jackie - Perfectly said: They are love without end or conditions. Only in the furry friend world can you find that. I think the purest love of all comes from our parents and our animals, and that's only some parents, ha! My two kitties and I are hanging in the bedroom. The steroids are really helping Boo in so many ways. I'm cherishing every moment with her. I always wanted to outlive my kitties, but not this way. -
E....as I have mentioned before, I find the muscular back end of a horse one of the most beautiful things. Sampson's is definitely a magnificent creature. It seems he has a good therapeutic effect on you. -
E count me in as one who is enjoying the Sampson with E, or is the E with Sampson pictures. Just stunning. As well, as someone else said -- you and your magnificent friend are very good for each other. Don't have to say that I hope you have great success with the next chemo/trial you do.
Blue as always beautiful pictures from you to enjoy.
Ok get together this afternoon at BIL's house. Made a pact some time ago not to talk politics -- especially. Dh and I won't change them ( they already said Ted Cruz had nothing to do with the shut-down -- un-believable ) and we are not going to change as we are FAR, FAR too addicted to truth and bi-partisanship which means, to overall misfortune, we will not be changing our registration status for a long, long time.
Everyone liked the Peanut Butter Pie. I avoided eating it for years........then tasted it for the first time about 5 yrs. ago. Takes very little now for me to find inspiration to make a Peanut Butter Pie.
See you all in the morning.
Jackie -
blue find lots of pretty pictures and ones that make us smile. I want to think about pretty things and smiles and you do that so well. Oh hell the dams giving way again. Thank you all for your thoughts. I'm very frightened now. -
Many hugs Chickadee......................understandable that you are frightened. I'm taking big breaths of deep calm for you and thinking at the same time of all the gorgeous pictures I have seen. Blue lagoons with crystal waterfalls and the tallest Redwoods you have ever seen. Thick billowy clouds in the sky with beautiful shapes. I hope you can see them too.

Dear Chickadee,
When the fear is climbing, breathe slowly and deeply. It helps. We are all with you. We are all breathing as you breathe.
((Chickadee))
-
Oh E - hate that you're having to change treatment once again. Hope that the new protocol is easier on you than the last. Love the pictures of you and your "boy" just beautiful!
-
(((((((((((((((((((((Chickadee))))))))))))))))))) we are all here for you -
Just made a lasagne for dinner, salad ready too, so now all I have to do is put it in the oven and voila - yummy. Meanwhile, I'll rest until it's time to cook it.
Bought some new weed killer in gel form yesterday. I thought I'd try it on a few things to see how good it is - well, it rained didn't it. Have to check how long before it is rain proof - I don't think it was on long enough.
Kam - cuddle that kitty - sounds like the steroids are doing something.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. -
Chickadee - we'll hold the "fear" for you, you try to stay in the "hope" part of the next few weeks. Not easy, know that, but maybe those DEEP BREATHS notself is sending you will help. Deeeeeep, deeeeep deep breath...somehow I always cry a little during the process, but I know what notself means about it also really helping during the worst times.
Enjoyful - sending you sorts, hugs, energy, HOPE, HOPE, and more hope - even if it means chemotherapy getting there. In hindsight, and this is hard to say, I think chemotherapy was easier than 5 years on Arimidex.
Just wish there was SOMETHING we could do to help - besides words, and SCREAMING RANTS against this disease...
{{{{{{{{{{{Hugs to ALL}}}}}}}}} Wish everyone was a Red Sox fan today. It helps... -
Chickadee, I will do my best!
