    Yes, also thinking about Chickadee feathers and Yorkiemon  bobcats.

    I expect news abut the scans net week. Suddenly feeling really well (think I bought a house on the river Denial).

    Dior couture 13/14? Vintage Chanel who in only Lagerfeld can pull off as though as if new, but also that's as if new. Yummy Rabbit desert. Nurses took it all, I'm fraid.

    Off to onc tomorrow, who is watching my calcium like a hawk....

    Kam, the Zimmerman trial is not so cut and dry as Arias' was, imho. Of course, I think he is completely guilty and would have been happier with a first degree charge, but the sequence of events that fatal night is somewhat ambiguous. Unfortunately, it's quite possible the jury may find reasonable doubt. I HOPE NOT! Aside from justice needing to be done, the racial issue could spiral out of control, ala Rodney King, if he walks scott free.

    And how about those missing babes, who were probably disappeared by their parents? Cry

    Athena, crossing all appendages that those scans are clean as a whistle! I think from the moment we mortals are born, we all live on that river denial. How else would any of us cope?

    Er .. did someone say 'voter fraud' is a problem?  I'd say so ...

    Bassett Man Pleads Guilty to Voter Fraud, Perjury

    Posted: Jun 18, 2013 10:44 PM EDT Updated: Jun 19, 2013 6:53 AM EDT

    A man from Bassett admitted to faking thousands of signatures on campaign ballots.

    In December of 2011 Newt Gingrich needed 10,000 signatures to get his name on the Virginia presidential primary ballot. Adam Ward, 28, collected more than 11,000 signatures according to prosecutors. More than 4,000 signatures could not be verified by investigators.

    Tuesday night, Ward pleaded guilty to 36 counts of voter fraud and perjury in Augusta Circuit Court.

    Sentencing is scheduled for December.

    Mary and Athena:  Fingers crossed for BORING.

    Note - the ONLY reported election fraud in 2012 involved Reublicans.  So if you can't win the vote, can't suppress the vote - the only answer is to cheat.

    Athena - nice to see you feeling somewhat normal.  That is good news.

    Funny how "counting the votes" is not nearly as bad as "voter fraud" for some some.  The big impact items, robo calls in spanish giving incorrect election dates, electronic voting machines programmed by people who happen to die in airplane crashes after they threaten exposure...those are the type of voting problems that are real election changers (oh, and possible murder).  Oh, then they refer to Acorn like it still exists.

    So the other day I was chatting with a couple people at work, and one of the women started going off on how Obama "stole" the election.  Since she walked off in a huff when I asked how he did that, I'm still confused.  Exactly how is it that some of the fringies on the right figure that Obama stole the election?

    Morning all - think it's time to renew my blockers - I thought they lasted forever? Alas, seems they don'tFrown Still amazed at people who seem to follow this thread so closely....strange, strange, strange....

    Thanks for all the info Kam. The Ki67 wasn't in my original pathology, but I did have the Oncotype test.  Still don't know as many details about it all.  Like Athena, I have a certain fondness for paddling on DeNile, and rest in the supreme comfort of my oncologists at Dana Farber.  Boy, do I love them.

    Also having SUCH success controlling blood glucose with food, supplements.  Can't imagine choosing to take more meds, unless absolutely have to someday. Those SE's of Metaformin...

    • muscle pain or weakness;

    • numb or cold feeling in your arms and legs;

    • trouble breathing;

    • feeling dizzy, light-headed, tired, or very weak;

    • stomach pain, nausea with vomiting; or

    • slow or uneven heart rate.

    Call your doctor at once if you have any other serious side effect such as:

    • feeling short of breath, even with mild exertion;

    • swelling or rapid weight gain; or

    • fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms.

    Less serious side effects of metformin may include:

    • headache or muscle pain;

    • weakness; or

    • mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, stomach pain.
      these are considered "less serious" - yuck...

    BUT, I can understand anyone making the choice to take it, after all, I CHOSE to do 5+ years on ArimidexKiss

    Still patting myself on the shoulder for that one.

    ALSO - for anyone dancing on the edge of diabetes, or conscious of the their blood glucose levels, be VERY VERY VERY careful of Blue Agave.  I know it's in all the "health food" stores - and it's gotten amazing hype marketing - but BEWARE, high, high, FRUCTOSE - and I literally poured down the drain the bottles I had left.  That was after I watched my blood glucose levels DROP when a nutritionist read me the riot act for using it. At first I thought my little meter was broken, tested it, and it was accurateLaughing

    Ah, I think the light has dawned - when you block a whole thread, you still have to block individuals.  Maybe?

    Below is an artist's rendition of the house we are (hopefully) having built on a 1/3 acre lot.  All the paperwork has been signed.  We see the finance folks on Saturday. I'm letting myself get a little excited now.  The house is supposed to be completed by Oct 15, ready for my planned retirement on Nov 1.  Smile  It's not as close-in as we had hoped, and not in the rain shadow at all, in fact it's immediately south of the Olympics, so will have a bit more rain (50 inches/yr as opposed to 39), but it's a nice town, a good price and probably (hopefully) will have good resale value, if it turns out that we want to move away from Washington at some point, as there are a goodly number of jobs in the area (it's in Olympia which is the state capitol.)

    oh yeah, and the people signed off on the condo purchase in Hawaii, it goes to the bank now - so, we'll see.  It's a short sale, though, so who knows.....

    What a pleasant little house, GG! Fingers crossed that the financing goes smoothly and the condo purchase in Hawaii goes smoothly as well. That sounds like the best of both worlds!

    Re: election fraud - it is very amusing to hear the baggers go on about election fraud because you can almost bet that they have done what they accuse the Democrats of doing. Mann Coulter committed voter fraud at least twice - once in Florida and once in Connecticut. Don't hear any wingnut squealing about that! And it is always funny, GG, to ask for examples of their wildly unsubstianted accusations. Either they make something up based on something they heard or read, they spout Faux talking points, or they refuse to give examples. It makes them foam at the mouth when you remind them that they are in the minority - more than 50% of voters voted for President Obama twice. They can scream their lungs out until they are blue in the face - they are still in the minority.

    Sunnyflowers, you do have to block individually. And sometimes people create other identities, even though it is explicitly against the rules. And nothing prevents people who have flounced off in a huff and had their accounts deleted from coming back the next day and creating a new one. For that matter, nothing prevents someone who has been banned from logging on from a different computer with a different ip address and creating a new account. Remember - the rules don't apply to some people.

    Such a pretty house, GG -- and sparkling new with NO MOLD!  Am sure you'll be able to choose the colours you want, the kitchen cabinets, the finishes - everything!

    As for folks who hate their President for no justifiable reason such as stealing the election-- well, it's sort of like religion:  people believe what they want to believe.  I was reading a transcript of the Rachel Maddow Show with a rabid hate-filled pastor on his radio show in the south (SC maybe, can't remember).  To him and his listeners, his President is the anti-Christ and he lists a number of lies about why this is so.  He's much worse than Father Coughlin of the 30's, and he's not alone, unfortunately.  Hate radio is the real plague he claims Obama is causing wherever he goes.  But those folks who WANT to believe him and his colleagues on hate radio, will.Cry

    Yeah, we like it.  It's 1650 sq ft, and all one floor Smile which will work MUCH better with my painful joints!!  I wish it was closer to Seattle, but (if the deal actually goes through) there will be no QUESTION that I have to retire, as there is NO WAY that I will commute over 60 miles each way to work.  I'm at my outer limit now, and this is an additional 25-30 miles!!

    It's in a development, which isn't something I ever thought I wanted, but another house we looked at in an area that had no CC&R's - well, the neighborhood had a lot to be desired, what with ramshackle cars and unmowed lawns, etc - that neighborhood definitely affected my desire to live there - so even though the house was nice, I wasn't willing to pay the price they were asking.  Since resale is always a consideration, this will probably be the best - especially if the condo goes through as well.  It's nice to have neighbors close-by when your house is unoccupied for months on end.

    I'm starting to plan the backyard - part of my plan is NO grass, and a lot of native plants that will hopefully be happy with just regular rainfal.  I think, but am not certain, that the HOA fees include tending the front yard.  I'm hoping so.  Another development we looked at by the same builder, it did, so I'm hoping that's true here as well.

    Eleven years ago we moved from a two story, with a basement, to a one story, also with a basement. At that time the reason was my DH's bum knee, which is still a major issue. Anyway, now my problem joints make is so much better that we pretty much live on the one story. Our grandkids area is in the basement, so I have to navigate stairs when they are here, but at least its only one flight.

    GG...I am taking a few minutes to check BCO out while packing for our move next week.  I am so happy to hear that it is all coming together for you now.  It must make you glad that you didn't 'settle' for some of the previous homes.  This one looks lovely!  And it is so much better when you are excited about such a big change.

    Good Afternoon Everyone!

    Been a busy day for me ... errands and editing reports!

    Gumby ... Your new house is so cute!  I love it!  That's nice that HOA's cover maintenance of the front yard.  A 1/3 acre lot is pretty big, especially if it's all in the back.

    hugs,

    Thanks for the cedar waxwing photo, Blue; they're one of my favorite birds.  Not flashy, just . . . elegant.

    GG, somewhere along the way I missed that building a house was an option for you.  The picture you posted is absolutely beautiful.  What a cute, cute house!  And all-on-one-floor is a major boon, too.

    What an absolutely beautiful day here -- but then again, we deserve it after all that rain.  I can't wait to shut down the computer and go outside for a run.  (I know it's super-boring to talk about race times and mile splits and all that, but I ran a 5K last night and posted my fastest time since my dx five years ago!  I felt like I was going to keel over at the end, but I did it.  I see a new pair of racing shoes in my future . . . )

    Sunnyflowers ... I wanted to ask you a question about what colored pencils you use.  I am fed up with Prismacolor as the tip always breaks off in the sharpener.  I'm not really interested in watercolor pencils ... just the regular kind.

    Thanks for your help.

    Sunny - you certainly listed all of the horrible SE's for Metformin, but what about

    - Average user loses 5-7 lbs

    - Lowers cancer reccurence rates by 30%

    ????

    These are from my head, and since I have chemobrain, I can be quite "off" on my numbers, but it's something like that.  Yes, have heard of the upset digestive tract business, but if one already has irritable bowel, probably not something new.

    GG - love that rendering of your new house.  A third of an acre is ginormous when you have pick up conifer bows, etc. (or have they removed the doug-fir and cedar already?).  Is it in a sunny spot for a nice garden.  I do like your new plan.  I missed the part where they maintain the front yard, but that can only be good for the neighborhood.  Have you locked in an interest rate?  The 10-year bond has gone from 1.9 to 2.4 in days and it's influencing borrowing costs.
