Congratulations Susan for 51 posts. You made it.
-
Susan...I see your problems are over. It shows 53 posts.
-
I hope so... I actually just passed my 24 hour mark, so not sure if I'm really "legal" yet. Haven't heard back from the mods.
-
LOL I love you sense of humor.

You were always legal but restricted.
Keep posting see what happens

Sheila: What is your fixation with the "posting limits"? It turns out to be my laugh of the day the way you stand "on guard" about this. If it is so serious, isn't it the job of the Mod to contact the poster and let them know they have committed the greatest act against this forum?? Frankly when I joined, I had no idea there was a limit and I have a feeling I went over but no one put the handcuffs on me and tossed me in jail. Your desire to "protect" the forum comes from a good place but I don't see why it is that important. Have a great day!
-
Medigal, I don't think that Sheila is "protecting" the forum. I think she is trying to make Newbies aware that after they post 5 times, they are locked out from posting further until the next day. Newbies should be aware of this so that they use their 5 posts judiciously. Newbies have to be careful about this until they hit their 50th post, so it's a fairly long period when they are restricted.
I think it's great that Sheila is making Newbies aware of this restriction. My only concern would be if someone else posts on another topic in this forum, and then that person's posts are regularly bumped down when this post is bumped up. But because this isn't a particularly active forum, this doesn't seem to be much of an issue.
-
They actually "lock us out" over just going over our 5 posts?? I had no idea this was going on and I think it is an unfair policy. So I guess I owe Sheila an apology and need to vent my irritation to the Mod. Locking out folks who have bc is not something I approve of over an extra post or two. Thanks for explaining what is going on, Beesie.

Hi there....here is a link to a thread I started for newbies...I added the abbreviations thread too so it will help get things in order pretty quick in understanding the lingo and insurance and finances.
And on the posting limits...you would be so amazed at how many do come through and then sit for a bit and attack again. I have only been a member for a year since my stage iv dx - they really hit the stage iv forum hard as they think we will grasp at just about anything to gain more time...it is so sad that some people are that evil.
Anyway - best wishes to all!

I am a newbie... I need some reassurance and guidance. I have never been more frightened or out of my mind like I have been for the past few weeks. I had mammogram on 10/29 and then called back for compressions, then called back again for more views. I was categorized as a Birads 3 and told to come back in 6 months. So I did not take that lightly, because waiting is definately too hard. The technology is great today, however when I can see the "mass" and was shown my films from last year, it did not take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was definately new and should not be there!!!!. I tt Gyn and she referred me to breast specialist. I saw him Tuesday of this week. He told me he was "very concerned" over my films and did not suggest waiting 6 months for a follow up. I am now set for a stereotactic biopsy the day before Thanksgiving and I am all over the place with my emotions, fears, and lack of concentration. I am having out of body experiences, I swear!!!! It's not so much the outcome rather the waiting to get to the outcome.

koriemcgee,
I just saw your post. I hope your biopsy went well today. I'm glad your doctor took you seriously and ordered the biopsy. Best wishes,
Karen
