Wednesday Weigh In
Comments
-
Forgot to weigh in yesterday so did it this morning instead - down .2 pounds - not much but better than a gain. DH's b-day tonight, so good thing I weighed in this morning and not tomorrow!
-
I too weighed in today (trying an extra day to work off the party food from last weekend!). Am up though by .6, but I'll take it. October is going to be a horrible month for me too!! This weekend, we celebrate Thanksgiving and the weekend after, my DH are going away to celebrate our anniversary..... Let's not even talk about halloween!!
-
Down 1 to 159 - yay, a 5 in the middle again!
-
Good for you, Pat! I'll weigh and post tomorrow, because I forgot to do so this morning. I expect the worst, because of the Thanksgiving weekend LOL.
-
Back to 132. Glad to see it there again.
-
down 1
-
Sounds like everyone had a good week!
I'm down 1.2 lbs, a total of 17.4 lbs. Only 20.6 lbs to go. I started with a bad cold yesterday so I don't know how that will affect things but I'm not going to worry about it.
Hope everyone has a good week!

Forgot it was Wednesday... are you all sure?
-
Yes, Cindyl it is Wednesday already...can you believe it?
Weighed today and down 2.1 pounds. YEA, WOO HOO, for once I lost more than a pound or a fraction of a pound. Feels good to make some headway towards healthy and fit.
45.6 down and 59.4 to go
Charlotte -
still on this plateau, ounces away from the 160's but not there yet. YET
-
Down 1 lb
Andrea -
welcome Botty!
-
Down one pound, so back to just 1 pound more than when the birthday parties started... I think we have made it through the worst of the early fall festivities... Should be smooth sailing until Thanksgiving.
-
Up 1/2 a pound..... not bad considering we were eating the thanksgiving turkey and stuffing up until yesterday!!
Must thank you ladies for keeping me on track..... I hate going upward in weight, but at least I get a little incentive to try a little harder!! October is not the best month for me, but will keep weighing to keep me at least trying!! I had my physical today and my Dr. was very pleased with the results of my bloodwork, so at least somethings are going down!!! (cholesterol, BP etc...)
Going away for a few days, so I know that I will not want to get on the scale again next week, but I WILL!!
-
Still 159 after Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. I am not gaining weight, but I have a very hard time to lose. I will have to stop eating, because I've been at this weight for weeks now despite exercising every day and eating well.
-
same......which is good considering I made the mistake of making cookies this weekend!
-
Hello Girls,
I'm with you Liefie! No "cheating" or splurges this week and still I'm up by half a pound. I guess we'll just have to keep at it.
I have a tendency to get VERY DISCOURAGED when I show a gain on the scale. So I am trying to learn that my journey to a healthy weight might not move in a straight line every single week and just to put it behind me and keep going.
I'm reminding myself that there is more to this story than the number on the scale. I'm putting lots of healthy vegetables and other good stuff into my body and mostly avoiding sugar and other unhealthy things. Also, I can tell I'm becoming stronger and more fit as well. Those things are important too.
But I tend to freak out when the number on the scale goes in the wrong direction. I was telling my mastectomy fitter about all this and she reminded me not to "give the number on the scale too much power."
Thanks for listening...
Charlotte (45 lbs lost and 60 to go) -
158 today. Eating well, exercising every day, but weight stays pretty much the same.
-
Down 0.6 lbs this week. 45 lbs is great, Charlotte! My weight has definitely bounced around but when I look back, I am gradually going down and that's all that matters.
I hope everyone has a great week!
-
Joined WW. Down 3.2 lbs on Mon. Trying to prove that one can lose weight on Arimidex.
-
I'm up a pound and really appreciate your post, Charlotte, about the number on the scale.
Hopefully, I've recovered from reading Julie & Julia and having this urge to cook and eat!
-
Didn't weigh yesterday, but did this morning - up 1 to 160 - the dreaded 6 is back in the middle. At least it's not a 7! I am not surprised, been making poor food choices all week and not exercising enough.
-
Down .5 to 131.5. My goal was 130. If I get there, I'm going to try to maintain thru the holidays. In Jan I can decide whether to stay there or keep losing.
-
Isn't sensa a type of green tea? Green Tea is supposed to help with weight loss.
I have been attacking dessert buffets during our fall holiday so no surprise that I've gained half a kilo or more. Will try to be good again until Christmas.
-
Havent posted in a long time. Down 1 lb to 179. so its 42 lbs since January!!
-
Sorry Botty, I was thinking of sencha. Sensa is some kind of powder you sprinkle on food.
Down 600 grams. Yay, Ilene for 42 lbs.!
-
Up 1 to 161 - the wrong direction! Not good going in to pig out season (halloween - thanksgiving - christmas) - really struggling with self control and motivation.
-
Finally jiggled down another pound. 34 total since June.
-
Up one, but I had company Wed night through Monday morning. LOTS and LOTS of eating going on. OK girls (ie me), lets get serious until Thanksgiving anyway!!!!!!
-
Down .4 - not much but at least moving in the right direction. OK Ruth - I'm with you - time for a big push between now and Thanksgiving!
