Wednesday Weigh In
Comments

Well, I havent checked in for awhile. I am down to 185 down 2.8 since last week and 35.3 lbs lost since January. I have been steadily losing a pound a week, but last week i started jogging on the treadmill as well as walking. Still have alot to go, but not in a rush!!
-
Hi everybody,
Need to lose around 15 - 20 pounds to get to my goal weight where I want to stay. Lost weight during chemo, but put some back on. I will post here after weighing tomorrow morning. I'm walking every day, and will go back to gim and joga next week. Hopefully this forum will keep me accountable and on track - LOL.
-
Welcome liefie - I would like to lose around the same amount as you. So important to exercise too as well as watch what you eat. I've been hovering just above 161 all summer, would so love to see a number in the 150's.
-
Thanks for the welcome, pat01. We can do this together. So I weighed this morning - 156 lbs. I've been around this weight since chemo ended 3 months ago. Have not done any exercise except walking, but I need to get the weight down. Fat cells produce oestrogen . . . will weigh again next Friday to see if there is progress.
-
Up 1.8 pounds - not a good week. I just need to keep plugging away . . .
-
Up 800 grams. Must be all the water I'm drinking in this heat.
-
161.5 - no change, which I consider a small victory given the fact that I've been indulging in sweets the last few days (2 cupcakes, 3 pieces of tres leches). Can't seem to break below the 160 barrier.
-
No change here either. blah.
-
Ok so yesterday I weighed 135.5, which would be 1.5 up. Today I weighed 133.5. I don't know what's going on. I hope I'm really losing, but that seems too dramatic to be real.
-
Take it and don't ask questions!
....still bad here.....
-
Down 600 grams. I did not want to have to write another gain this week. So I had to take some extraordinary measures. Maybe it'll work for others. Instead of a one hour workout after breakfast, I broke it up into half an hour at night after dinner and half an hour before breakfast, or even skipped breakfast altogether, except for coffee. Now if I can only keep it up for another week.
-
Since it is the political season, here is my drastic measure: If I do NOT post a loss next week, I will make a $50 donation to a candidate that I HATE. If I post a loss, I will give it to a candidate I hope will win.
-
Ruth you are too funny. I'm up 1 lb to 162.5, exactly what I weighed in May. A whole summer of hovering around the same weight. Blech!
-
I've lost track of where I was when I posted last, but I'm now down 14.3 lbs. It's been a slow month but this past week things have improved. I only have my loseit.com account set to lose 0.5 lbs a week so I'm still going in the right direction, just slower than I was at the beginning.
-
Last time I posted on Aug. 17, I weighed 156 lbs. Went to a conference in San Diego for five days with my husband, got on the scale Monday morning - 160 lbs! This is the most I've weighed in months. So mad at myself, but you cannot expect to lose weight if you eat a lot of ice-cream, fast food and drink beer. Started joga again yesterday, and worked out at the gim this morning. Will weigh on Friday.
-
Weighed 132 this morning, which is down 1.5. I found the solution to losing. I send my DH out of town and only eat when I'm hungry. Unfortunately I miss him when he's gone.
-
Awesome job Barb!
-
Don't know how it's possible, but I'm down 4 lbs from Monday. Maybe it was water retention? This week I cut out all starches and sugars, and started back on my exercise program for the first time since my Dec. diagnosis. This must be a once-off thing.
-
Sounds like you are doing something right, liefie. Ruth, I don't know if I should cheer you on
-
Depends on which side you are on
.....but it is for a North Dakota race, so probably won't affect you no matter who I give the money to (that said, I am down a pound going into the weekend).
-
Down 600 grams again. 600 is my lucky number! Another 600 and I'll be happy if I can maintain the status quo for 2 months. Then lose again in preparation for the Christmas kilo or more.
-
After a month of no change, zip, zilche, nadda....drumroll down 6 lbs. Under 200 lbs for the first time in this century. Total loss 30 lbs. 70 lbs to goal.
-
Cindy - congrats on breaking through the 200 barrier! I bet you fly through the 190's. Heidi - congrats on the 600 gram loss. Of course being an American and totally metric illiterate I had to google calculate to find out that 600 grams is 1.3 pounds, so that's great.
No loss but no gain for me this week.
-
I was perfectly good all week (except one cookie and one piece of homemade pound cake) and lost 3 pounds! So it can be done......making that donation to my favorite candidate (won't get into politics here, but will say that my candidate is running for the Senate, and is a 12 year BC survivor!).
-
Good for you Ruth! I am up .5 to 163, a weekend of barbeques and excellent food and drink. Not the direction I wanted to see, better be better now that "regular" routine is starting - would like to get below 160 before the holiday weight gain season starts.
-
I'm actually up 0.6 lbs this week and don't why but maybe I'm building muscle....I can dream, right?
Anyway, hopefully it will be better next week!
Congratulations to all of you who went down this week! Especially, you Cindy for breaking the 200 mark...that would be exciting! I keep saying that if I lose four more pounds, I will be at my lowest weight in 20 years...the thinnest my children will ever have seen me and I know I can get there.
-
Up .5 to 132.5. I spent the weekend with grandchildren and ate everything. I'm actually pleased that I didn't gain a lot more.
-
I went to see my MO today and she was thrilled with my weight loss. I told her that I wanted to lose 30 more pounds but she told me that she would only like to see me lose 10-20 more pounds which surprised me. She said that she didn't want me to get too thin though I really don't think too many people would think that I would be too thin at that point. I guess I'll see how I look and feel when I get to the point of losing 10- 20 more and decide then.
-
It's a great feeling to have your MO, PCP, and other doctors be thrilled with you, isn't it? Much better than being nagged about weight loss, diet, exercise, etc.
-
Finally this morning I got to see something I haven't seen in years - a 5 in the middle of my weight! I usually weigh on wednesdays, but since I can't seem to shake the same 4 lbs I've been yoyo-ing around all summer, I started weighing every day. And this morning, I was 159.5! So psyched, maybe that will encourage me to not overindulge at Patriots party this weekend. I have lost 11 lbs since New years. Of course, I still have bloated spare tire from Tamoxifen, but I'm working on that too. Told my husband my new goal is to get below 150 before our daughters wedding next June.
