Patoo........................great picture..........you both look so happy................hugs.
-
Excellent picture Patoo. You look happy and healthy. I know all the old timers know whether that is your husband or your son, but I don't.
-
That is because she looks so young!
(son)

Thanks Ruth. I am a bad judge of age. Everyone younger than me looks like a baby....and most of you look a little thin on the thin side too:)
-
Thanks for the compliments!
Afraid to get to Wednesday weigh-in. Leg is still tender in spots; ankle still a little swollen although it's better but haven't been exercising at all. And eating has not been the best choices.
-
So, it has been one of those weeks - weekend that included gorging on delicious pasta and birthdaycake, little too much drinking, and I skipped two days of exercise because I just wasn't feeling it. Slipping back into old bad habits. Approached the scale this morning resigned to seeing my previous weeks loss wiped out and then some, and was so pleasantly surprised to see I was down 1.5 to 166! So I need to take this as a gift and a wake up call and be extra careful this week with food and drink, and get back to never skipping my exercise just beacuse I'm pooped. Oh, but St. Paddys day, that will be a challenge, corned beef sandwiches and irish coffees! I've lost a total of 4.5 lbs, not feeling it in my clothes yet, I think the Tammi makes you get heavy in the middle. Having a wonderful spring like week weather wise here, so I'll be walking again at lunch!
Have a great week ladies.
-
Not surprised that after all the cheese and desserts, wine, bread and pasta and not too much exercise, I am up again 700 grams. Will work to bring it down next week! Hope your ankle is getting better, patoo!
-
This morning I was 140 (down .5). I really need to add exercise, but the weather here has been rainy, cold and windy. Not exactly fun for walking. Just tried driving after my mx, so perhaps I'll make it to the mall and walk there.
-
My weigh in was not what I wanted.
And I have been spring sprinting.
Boo. Do you suppose my body is holding onto extra fluids because I upped my exercise or from this blasted sore throat and cold? Well, anyway, I faced it. If I'm not getting on the scale, then I know I'll be in worse trouble later.
-
Down .7. I have a tough time with the time change and have not done my morning workouts. Hopefully I'll get adjusted over the weekend and get back on track on Monday.
-
down a drop....like .4 of a pound (note the decimal point). We must all have the 'late winter BLAHS'. Let's rev it up, spring arrives next Wednesday!
-
Back to decimals, but at least down .3..... I'll take it! This coming weekend will not be good for me! St. Patrick's day party, Birthday party and Baby shower..... ALL in ONE weekend!! Lord, Give me strength!!!!
-
Same as last week so I'll take it since I really have to rest the leg and ankle. Hopefully the anitbiotic will work soon to get rid of the swelling. I really need to get back to moving, especially since the weather is soooooo nice.
-
Broke even. Tried an aversion technique on myself today where I told myself than anything I ate before 4:00 would look like a plate full of dead flies. Really gross, but it did kill the appetite. I have to return to listening to my CD. (No dead flies on the CD ladies).
-
Checking in a day late. I was 161.5, same as yesterday morning. I'm still in the same range, dropping, gaining, dropping , gaining.
Our weather is summerlike, hot and humid with highs in the 80's, so I perspire a lot when I play golf or exercise. Helps get rid of the fluid my body retains.
DH is trying to lose weight, too, which is great. He's more overweight than I am and has heart disease. It helps for both of us to be cutting fat and calories--and sodium.
Happy Thursday!
-
Not sure if I want to weigh in!!! I just spent several days in the hospital-- hospital food!!! And Oh my gosh the fluid pumping into my system. and the drugs-- as if we dont have enough as it is. But give me a few days and I will!
At the hospital, they recommend that we weigh every day to watch out for any type of pathological fluid retention. interesting.
Patoo-- you look so happy. I smile alot but that put an even bigger one on my face! Q

Wanted to stop by and say "my hypnosis thing is stil working..........shocked, but it is.............................Thanks you Paul McKenna....................You are making me thin................well maybe not "thin", but at least the numbers on the scale are going down..................Hope it continues.......................Funny thing is this is suppose to affect your subconscious mind......................Your suppose to picture yourself thinner...I had a problem doing that in my head.....................but.............last night I had a dream, and in this dream I was really thin, back to my 20's weight..................now I know that isn't going to happen, considering I was 99 lbs then but guess what.......................I remembered the dream vividly this morning, and thought............Damn, maybe there is something to that imagery thing...............hhhhhhmmmmmmmm, what do you gals thing.............................Legit, or "hogwash".

all inventions begin in the mind, ducky.......

It's all up to me..................

Thursday: well I was so discouraged yesterday that I decided I'd better get on the scale every day for awhiile. Yesterday I also had sore muscles from an increased intensity to my workouts and a cold and sore throat with muscle aches AND it was my day off from exercising - because I have to have two days off - (otherwise I just get too fanatic about it and then eventually am doing too much and quit).
So today I got on the scale and I am down the 4- 5 pounds yesterday showed. Whew! What was that??? (Or is this lighter weight the misleading one?)
Yesterday I googled about weight gain and colds and weight gain when you over-exercise or start a new intensity (water) and it does happen! However, in the back of my mind I'm going: Yeah, that's what we all say when we are in denial.
I'm going to keep weighing daily so I keep a handle on it.
-
ordered the 6 cd set Ducky! we will see..... or shall I say...hear...
-
I have never heard the 6 CD set..........I bought the book, which has 1 CD in it, but I'll bet yours is great.........Maybe I'll consider that purchase too.
Good luck
-
Hey, Ducky how is that going for you this week?
-
I am slowly reading the book and listening to the cd most nights. I have trouble organizing my eating around my hunger. Thanks to the nature of my job I have to eat at certain times. I haven't gotten on the scale I will give myself two weeks like the book says. But, I think I have gained weight. I'm hoping Paul McKenna works for me.
-
I am down another pound on the scale this morning. So the fluctuations earlier this week were most likely water I was retaining from being sick and the upped exercise. The DAY OFF, and extra sleep must have helped me balance that out. I also took a bunch of Vitamin C and a lot of water to flush out this bug I've had. I've decided that I slip too much not getting on the scale daily and then it gets all like fuzzy math trying to figure out what is going on. At least daily -first thing in the morning before taking in anything- I can gauge my position. (I was so confused when after ten days not weighing, it had looked like I put on 4-5 pounds!)
-
Doing well truebff.............just hope it keeps up................and I love the CD........it really gives you that time you need, to just lay back and be quiet....very, very relaxing...........I am down another pound......................just don't get on the scale too much...............
-
Okay, interesting result today. I've now missed two days of um digestion working, my virus is back just when I thought I was starting to get over it, I exercised MORE than usual again yesterday, I had a starchy salty Indian dinner, I drank a LOT of water, and I slept badly.
My cells DON'T like to be "on alert" and then they hold on to everything until it is safe to let go. So, today, I'm "up" 3-4 pounds from yesterday. I'm feeling better about it though because now I *know* that I couldn't really put on 3-4 pounds with that dinner. So it is helping me a lot, until my body water-fluids balance is back on track, to be getting on the scale everyday.
-
Down 400 grams. I'm also having a hard time gauging where I am relative to the week before. But I'm happy to report that I now fit into my old ski pants when I was 3 kilos lighter than I am now. So I must have lost weight in the middle and likely added to my bones and muscles. On that note I'll be weighing in less and concentrating more on building bone.
-
Ugh - up 1.5 lbs to 167.5 Birthday party, st. Patty's day, and date night dinner did me in. And now company coming tomorrow night for the weekend, so I envision more bad choices. Sigh - maybe back on track Monday? We'll see...
-
I'm up to 163. Last Thurs. was 161. Still in my "range." Will keep waging the war against the extra lbs!
I did go back on my vow not to buy any larger clothes. I went out and bought some size 14's that actually don't fit that well because they're a little too loose. But I hate squeezing into clothes and some of the 12's are too small to button at the waist.
Good luck to all of us.
