Hi, Trish, glad your MRI brought good results. Will be thinking of you as you go through this rerun. I know your going to sail through.
Amanda, hope the exchange went well and your up and around in a tight sweater soon!
Have a good night. Donna -
Trish - I'm glad to hear your MRI didn't find anything else and that your tumor is small. Please keep us updated on what is going on with you - you certainly aren't bringing us down. We are all iin this boat together!
Amanda - CONGRATULATIONS on your exchange surgery (and your "new rack"!) I hope it went well! You must be so happy to have that behind you - one more thing that makes it easier to "move on".
Brenda - glad the suport group went well. I wish I had one where I live - okay, there is one near me and I went last summer but they pretty much don't want new people (typical of the folks in central PA in general unfortunately). I left in tears - so much for support!
Karen - you should give it a try and don't feel obligated to go if you don't like it. I thought it would be a bunch of 80 year olds too but much to my surprise, there was a variety of ages, most probably being middle aged and there was even a man who was a BC survivor! I also was invited to a lunch with some cancer survivors this summer and that group was very nice BUT they all had to be over the age of 80! Nice group but I had nothing except cancer in common with them.
So glad I you all for support!
-
Donna, love your sense of humour.
Kim, that is too bad, I am fortunate in that they start new groups here every few months, but I too appreciate this group and the ability to talk anytime!!!
Karen, mine is of mixed ages as well but mostly middle aged. I think I am just a little neurotic as well, but hey we are entitled!! LOL
Take care, b

So how do you send a PM? I would like to be included in the facebook group. Let me know.
Patty
-
Patty,
I just sent you a private message with my information so you can search for me on facebook and join the group.
Sonia
-
Thanks Sonia. I just got it and hopefully we're connected now. How do you get onto the group?
-
Just wanted to stop by and say hi and let those of you who haven't joined us on facebook know that we miss you and hope you will be joining us soon.
-
Ditto what Sonia said! We miss you!
-
Hope the rest of you join us on Facebook - it's been a nice change.
Amanda - how did the surgery go??
Karen

Hi all,
My husband had an account and now I cannot do one for some reason as it says there is one for our email already??? So will check here from time to time, and join when I have more energy to fight with it.
I am doing better I think, though I miss you guys too and find most support here,

Hi Ladies--
So I am 1 week out from my exchange surgery and MAN what a difference this is. The tissue expander sat so high and was rock solid and the implant is soft and feels like. . .well a boob! I have a little sporadic pain but I've been off the pain meds since friday and feel pretty good. I have a follow up appointment with my PS on thursday. I will say the shape difference is pretty noticable but in a bra you can't really tell the difference. Can't wait to find out when I can get my nips!
I've missed you guys too! I've really been holding off on the whole facebook thing. . .mostly becasue the idea of mixing my rowdy college friends and my clients doesn't appeal to me that much. Hope everyone is feeling well!
-
Amanda,
Glad to hear the exchange went well! What about setting up a facebook account under an alias, and then you won't have to mix rowdy friends with clients? It really is a nice change from posting here - we still talk about serious things, but we're getting to know each other in other ways, too.
Karen
-
Amanda - glad to hear the exchange went well. You sound like you are happy with the results. Are you having tatoos done for your nipple? I spoke to a woman this weekend that is getting ready to have her nipple tatoos. We were laughing because the tatoo person is named Vinny. He specializes working with BC ladies but his name sounds like someone who works in the corner tatoo parlor.
Miss you! Think about signing up under an alias like Karen suggested.

Hey Guys,
If you set up an email address with gmail or yahoo and then sign up to facebook with that email address you can keep your personal life separate and then join us!!! I feel bad leaving anyone behind. I really wish we could make this happen. I am truly finding myself ruminating so much less now that I rarely come here and read.
-
Amanda, glad things went well, Vinny LOL,,,
I even took the plunge with facebook and the way Sonia has set it up, others can't see the group so it is very private.
Hope to see you soon, b
-
Hi girls, Amanda, so glad your ex went well! Facebook was a leap for me, but I'm glad I did it. Haven't posted much or friended many outside of this group and also opened a new email,so Work people wouldn't find me. The different focus of it just seems to freshen the conversation.
Will always check in here though. Take care all. Donna -
LOL. . .Vinny. I feel like it is like "yo vinny. . .I need some ink".
-
Chicago - that is it exactly! Maybe he should change his name to Vincent! I hope you are doing well!
-
Hey Amanda! Just thinking of you. Hope you are well!
Kim
-
Hi Amanda,
Hope you're doing well!

Hi Kim/Karen--
Hanging in there. I have found myself feeling very angry over the last few weeks. I don't know why but it is coming on full force lately. I know I should feel fortunate that I am here and on the mend from an awful situation but instead I feel pissed. I think I need to find something positive to channel my energy into. The fact that is has been cold and grey here in Chicago doesn't help for sure. :-p
Hope you both are doing well!
Amanda
-
Amanda - I too deal with anger. It seems to come and go and I don't know why. I agree about the weather not helping. I think we may all feel better when summer comes!
Kim
-
Hi Amanda,
Hope you're doing okay!
-
FYI - I changed my screen name, but I'm still Karen!
-
Hey Amanda! How are you doing? We miss you!
-
Hi guys!
So good to hear from you. I am doing well. I've been swamped with work lately! I had my 6 month follow up with the rad onc last week and it made me think of all of you. I hit the 6 week mark next week following my exchange surgery so all my weight and lifting restrictions will be lifted.
I hope you are all well over in facebook land. :-) Cyber hugs to all.
Amanda
-
Hi Amanda! Glad you hear you are doing well. We miss you.
Kim

Amanda,
Just wanted to say hi and let you know I was thinking about you. Hope you are doing well. Please reconsider joining us on Facebook! Miss you,
Karen
