I Come to the Garden...

I cannot imagine the emotion when you first see each other! To be together during such a scary time is so necessary. Shame on the service to not bring you in! I'm shocked. I thought they took better care of families. If he'd had a wife would they have brought her in?
-
Yes, if he had a wife she would be travelign with him. I am going to have him see if they can let me meet him there. They wouldn't need to send anyone with him that way.
-
Well if they would bring in a wife, they should bring in a mother if he's single! And of course you would replace them having to send someone with him.....
-
Next time Matt calls, I will put the idea up to him.

Praise! God is Great!
PauldingMom finished her first chemo. She has been put through the gauntlet of "stuff" this past week, but the MRI shows that the tumor in her brain has shrunk well. She hopes to stop by and visit "us" soon. The chemo and everything else has her wiped out right now.
Thank you Heavenly Father for keeping Lisa close to you in your care. May her body respond favorably to the chemo, and may this situation be used for Your glory. Amen

Amen

-
thanks for the link, shelia.. she's really a great talent.. lovely i hope things work out, Meece.. im ignorant of all the rules when someones in the service, but i thought they would send him "home" to the states, with his heart, and all.. why not sit in Hawaii, if he could.. silly me.. anyway; i hope you get to see your boy soon!! 3jays
-
Hawaii is closer to Japan, so he can turn around and head back there as soon as they let him.
Prayers for ValJean's daughter who is seeing a surgeon regarding bx today. Many suspicious lumps in one of her breasts.

Sorry I've been away for a while. I've been here as usual but the thing we feared with my husband happened last week. He had sudden blood clots in both of his legs from his blood clotting disorder. It has been several years since this happened even though with his clotting disorder it can. He was fine the 10th of November with his arteries but this was in his veins. He returned to work yesterday. I scrambled to pack for a possible long hospital stay with him and to make arrangements to have my chemo treatment up there if he had went into the hospital (2 hours away where his specialists are) but thank God he didn't. He's doing OK but it is such a stress as our weather is turning winter with predictions for snow and ice and I'm no hand at winter driving. The stress with me going through treatment with chemo and this is unbelievable. Please pray for both of us. There is also a lot of stress going on with family. Holiday times are supposed to be about loving each other but it isn't happening here and that adds to my stress level that is through the roof now.

Juanita,
My prayers are with you and your husband as you deal with all that is happening in your lives. Any one of the stress factors you face is enough to try the soul. May God give you the strength you need to prevail. May He bless you and guide you.
-
Just prayed for you, Juanita.
-
Praying for you both.

One more time...
Matt just called. The Tri-care insurance claims they found a Japanese dr who can do the work on his heart and want him to have it done in Japan ASAP. Please pray that they will take into consideration Matt's feelings about wanting me there. May it work out that I can be with him whereever he goes, but most of all that it be a competent, english speaking doctor, who has the responsibility of doing the job.
-
Meece...My wish for you is to find a way to be with Matt
Hugs♥
-
amen. JUANITA..ck your messages. left 2 PM's 3jays
-
Meece, sorry for Matt. I wish you get along with him. There is always a way comes when we are in need. So dont be depressed. Just pray for his fast recovery and join with him
-
I do know, Meece, that they have excellent surgeons in Okinawa. My doctor did a great job and we had a baby born 2 Aprils past that had a heart lung problem. She was sent to the University of Ryuku hospital and they did an excellent job!!! I do believe he should get the surgery as soon as he can. Just praying they will let you go over to help him!!! Got a passport?
Just adding that, I would trust the DR in Japan before I would trust the ones in Hawaii. That is MHO.
-
Really? I thought you didn't care for the hospitals in Japan. How diificult is the communication barrier?
Started the Passport business.
He didn't call back, but then he was on lunch break when he called last night. I will pass on your "HO" to him and see if it makes him more at ease. We are still trying to get him healed from the surgery so he can be out of the walking boot before messing with his heart. I guess the boot could cause a clot?
-
Wow Grace! That should make Matt and Mom feel SO much better!!! I would take that to heart Meece as it's coming right from the horses mouth! If you think of it, it makes sense..... it's just that we all want to be near home when we are ailing.
Meece, I would think they'd have bilingual aides, wouldn't you? BUT, it would be so much more expensive for you to stay near Matt. Would the service take care of that?
-
I asked Matt to check into it for me. He said he really wants me there. The flight alone would be a devastating cost. Actually for me, any flight would be until I get back to work.
-
((((Lisa))) Rest
Getting caught up on this thread.I don't understand why the service doesn't send Matt back to the US for a surgery so serious.(((Meece&Matt)))What about hitching a ride on a service jet?Do they allow that for parental emergencies?
-
Maybe the military goes by the book, not by the heart.
I don't know if I mentioned it but, Matt's commander of his unit was removed as well as a few other of the men in charge. They were the ones who had been working to help him get his medical care under control. He now has a Major who is temporarily in charge so he (the Maj) doesn't have a clue whats been going on with Matt, and not easy to get an opportunity to talk to him.
Maybe there is one person in the chain wha can see things from the family/emotional side and will help.
-
Meece,
Sometimes your Congressman (person?) can help. You might call and ask.
-
I have been to his office last month, and they did seem like they would try, but I have to have a plane ticket in hand fo rthem to expedite things. Thanks for the idea.
-
Meece,
Saying prayers that all this works out for you to be with Matt. I can't imagine as a Mother the stress and worry you have been under. God will see you through this. Sometimes we have to wait on Him when we try to run ahead instead. You have a wonderful faith and it will sustain you come what may. My prayers are with you both and I know God will see Matt throught this as well. I pray for healing for him and peace and strength for you.
Hugs,
Juanita
-
Thank you, Juanita. Yes, God will see us through this. God is Good! Whatever His plan for us, we will go with it.

My uncle had this plaque hanging in his bedroom. When he passed, I took it and hung it in my sewingroom. Unfortunately, it fell off the wall and the glass broke and I put it away. I ran across it this week and thought it represented us well.

May this thread be a place of great light, shiniy for those who are behind darkened clouds.
