I Come to the Garden...

Matt & his wife have invited us for dinner tonight. I think that is a positive sign.
The middle DIL totally ignores me at family functions. It really hurts.

Hugs to you Meece....I know my son-in-law just "tolerates" me.... and my daughter-in-law doesn't really talk to me, either. She gets up to hug my DH, though, so I know her legs work...sigh. Have a joyful event tonight to set the precedent for many, many more enjoyable evenings. I'm sure she is very, very, very nervous!!

Well, I have a request for traveling mercies for tomorrow, the 31st. My boss got tickets for him & I to go to Eugene which is about 2.5 hrs north of where we are. The tickets are to see Santana & Rod Stewart in concert tomorrow night! I am pumped! However, I am driving (because he has very poor vision & I was going to have to drive after dark anyway cause he has no night vision, so we are going in my car up & back) and we do have to come back after the concert because I have to work Friday AM! So after you get over being jealous
please pray that I am able to get home ok. We will be driving up about 2PM and home probably around midnight Aug 1 to 2:30-3am. -
aly I LOVE rod stewart!! enjoy!! Put me in your pocket, 3jays
-
You have my prayers too! And like 3jays, I love Rod Stewart. I remember one night in college...with that Maggie song playing in the background! And that's enough said.

Joni, take your time, it`s not a race and enjoy the voyage as much as the destination. My DH and I drove 7 hours roundtrip twice on the last 2 Wednesdays to an area we are looking at moving to. We make sure that the journey is part of the enjoyment.
-
I will take you all with me!
Kathy, yeah, I think I have a similar experience with Maggie Mae

-
I'm sure I took a trip with Maggie May too! remembering the good ol days!3jays
-
Thanks for the prayers girls. Concert was PHENOMENAL! Carlos & gang played for an hour & 10, Rod & Company hour & 30. Best part was during Rod's set, Carlos came out and played while Rod sang. Unbelievable.
Rod also told a story of how the 45 that had Maggie May on it was the B side of "Reason to Believe" and some DJ played the wrong side, which was the start of his career
-
I did not know that Joni!!! I love hearing trivia like that. Another trivia is the group Simply Red. They were just called Red and the announcer didn`t hear the lead singer say the name and said WHAT??? So the guy said it`s simply Red and the rest is history!
-
And I love them too!

Pray for me...I have a MRI for the brain tomorrow...pray no brain mets. Also had a lung biopsy today...can't talk...hurts, and have a slight fever. Pray for complete healing...thanks.
Leaning on the every lasting arms...
-
Praying VERY VERY hard for you Hindsfeet. May Jesus hold you in His arms and comfort you at this stressful and scary time.
-
Just saw this Hindsfeet. Father, We lift our sister to you. We know you are the Great Physician. Your Will be done, but please release her body from the physical ailments she is facing and heal her of any further cancer. We ask these things in the Name of Jesus.
-
I'm praying for you Hindsfeet, and then praying more. May God give you the comfort and peace as only He can, and please, may all be well.
Kathy

Amen

Praying for good results, also. Wilsie

Hindsfeet, any result(s)?

Thanks for your sweet prayers. The lung biopsy and hiler nodes says breast cancer. My brain MRI spotted one spot 5 mm in the balance part of my brain. I have 5 skull mets. I also have another liver mets...so two now in the liver. I have bone mets from neck to femur/hip/arm. I have wide spread cancer. They aren't really trying to cure me, rather take care of problem areas. I'm glad Jesus is the great physician.
I am being scheduled for a cyber knife surgery for the one spot. Please pray there are no more brain mets. The brain doctor said yesterday that even with surgery, my odds to live once brain in cancer is 7.1 months...with whole brain radiation may 1 or 2 years...but with multiple mets not so much. I will do the cyber knife and not the whole brain radiation. There is no evidence right now that I have more than one brain mets. However, they will do another more precise MRI that can show up tiny mets. This is where prayer comes in. Please stand with me that God will protect my brain.
The doctor said yesterday because of the brain barrier to chemo/herceptin and etc it is difficult to treat brain cancer. However, anti-hormonal can get to the brain and seems to have helped. I am also doing a little alternative. Ultimately living and dying is God's decision. I want only His will. I am at peace.
I have had 4 of 15 radiation treatments...in right now. I am doing Herceptin/Perjeta, fasodex shots in each hip, and a anti-hormonal shot once a month. Can't remember all names of whatever. It is so new to me. No chemo. I'm choosing as much as possible quality of life. I am still strong, and want to finish a few books, and take a trip or two. I'm living...trying not to stress, and see everyday as a gift. Love you ladies!
Thanks for your prayers. I covet them! (((hugs)))

You have a lot going on Hindsfeet, but like me, you have Faith in God. I cannot imagine going through all this without Faith!!
I, too, am having a balance problem and horrid vertigo. They did one CT but want to do an MRI and can't due to my pacemaker. They were considering taking out my pacemaker, doing the MRI and putting it back in! But for now, I'm getting a 3-month repeat CT at the beginning of September. I am not afraid to die, just feel bad for those I leave behind. I would be at peace as well and like to hear you say that.
-
Barb, quick here as I need to leave for radiation treatment. Just to say that my doctor gave me steroids for the brain tumor. They said even a small brain tumor will cause inflammation/swelling. They said if it is a brain tumor the steroids will lessen the balance problem or get rid of it. The steroids did help a lot. You might asked for steroids and see if it helps. It is one way to dx a brain tumor. Brain tumors only worsen. I wouldn't wait to get it checked out especially if you are her2+ or triple negative. Those cancers move quickly and if that be the case my doctor said just a few months to live. I'm praying for a miracle...need my brain, or what little I have

-
Hindsfeet, you will continue to be in my prayers. When my Mom was diagnosed with brain tumors, she was given methotextrate (I'm pretty that's the one). We (my sibs, mom & I) called it the miracle cure. She went from extreme stroke like symptoms to relatively normal in a matter of hours. Kept her with us for an additional 68 days or so.
-
Oh Hindsfeet, I'm so sorry that you have all this happening to you now. Yesterday I thought of you and hoped we would hear something soon but hoped it would be a bit better than this. You can be sure I will continue to pray, and then pray more. Our God can do everything and anything, and I don't believe He's done with you yet!
Barbe, I'm also continuing to pray for you. I so hope you can find some answers, and even more importantly, some solutions to the vertigo and vision problems.
Update on Doug: He's now getting chemo in pill form and they're doubling the dosage next week, so his terrible sickness will continue. He's developed diabetes due to so much of the pancreas being removed. And soon there will be a concentrated zap to the tumor itself, because they don't believe the radiation tx now are reaching it. I don't know exactly how this is to be done, but they're making a full body cast for him to wear during the sessions to help with pulling his stomach aside. Spirits are still high and determined, and if there's anyone who can beat pancreatic cancer I know it's Doug.
Always prayers for you all.
Kathy

Hindsfeet, my prayers will be for His will in your life. You are an inspiration
I have an MRI, Mammo and possibly ultrasound a week from Friday. Timing is poor, but at least we have these diagnostic tools available. I had one job interview on Monday and just got called a couple of hour ago for different job interview in the morning.
I was blessed yesterday after work to receive a call from Matt's wife asking if we could come to an ultrasound. We sat in the room with them as we saw images of our next little grand daughter. Some of the images were 4D. Amazing!!! We heard her little heart racing away at 158 bpm. Amazing that we can now see what our Father has knit before she comes out into this world.
-
Hindsfeet: so sorry for all the new trouble.. this is where your having faith in God is better treatment than any the drs. have!
I like that you stillfeel strong I learned knowing Marybe that's the most important issue there is!!
My prayers are being sent up for you for peace, and courage.
3jays.

Welcome, GrammyR.
I need help with my attitude today. I went for an interview Monday and felt really good about it. Yesterday I found out I was the number one pick of the interview team, but the union made them offer it to a current union member. I feel down even though I interviewed for a different job yesterday. I feel like I may never get a permanent job. I know that if it was God's will, I would have received the job. It still hurts.
-
Of course it hurts Meece! I know I've interviewed for jobs that have been given internally. I HATE that, too! Why waste my time, effort and hope?? We know it's all in the plan, but sometimes it would be nice to see the blueprint, eh?
-
oh, yeah!
-
praying for you..hope you are OK..
