Alternative Medicine vs. Quackery

Goodness!! Girls, I'm sorry. I certainly didn't intend for this to devolve into a cat fight.
I'm wondering if I ought to have this thread closed. Let's all take deep breaths, girls, and remember that no matter the different approaches we may take, we're all in this game TOGETHER. We are all careless with words sometimes and snarky when we don't mean to. Can we forgive and move past anything that has been inadvertently hurtful? Please?
Love to you all,
JuliaP.S. I have some thoughts on a few things that were said here but just had to get that off my chest!

Member - I have not posted what my "approach" is so how can you say I'm not persuading you??
Elizabeth - I'm so very sorry for what I posted. I honestly did not see "the goner" statement.
I'm tried of all the crap on here. I'm taking this thread off my favorites so I will never read all this negative stuff again. We should all be cheering for each other because we are all going through this together. We should be cheering for each other no matter what "approach" we are taking. I don't think I'm the only one with a "nasty" remark. I think all of you should look deep inside your hearts for your "nasty"
Peace out, Patty

Thank-you for the very kind PM Patty. I really appreciate it. Hugs,

Surely, there is a misunderstanding somewhere on this thread. Or maybe several. It is very obvious to me, a pro-alternatives, that using conventional PLUS remaining open to complementary/alternative therapies, possibly in support of the conventional ones, is the right way to go in the face of an advancing cancer. Isn't that true?
I feel our beloved Flalady used the best of both worlds to perform this miracle of surviving as long as she did with extremely aggressive cancer. Flalady did not just survive, she THRIVED, and remained an inspiration to everybody else while battling this terrible beast.
RobinWendy, you have demonstrated what a generous, open-minded person you are by sharing precious information on other threads. For that, I am sure all of us are grateful....
Now, someone correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that both RobinWendy and Elizabeth are maximizing their chances at staying healthy by adding some complementary therapies to their conventional treatments. In addition, RobinWendy did not hesitate to share with us the opinion of her remarkable oncologist, Dr. Winer, on the delicate issue of Aromatase Inhibitors.
The way I see it, it takes a courageous, honest scientist like Dr. Winer to speak so straight, considering that what he had to say was not exactly what we hoped to hear. And I feel RobinWendy showed how much she cares by relaying this information to us.
I have never noticed either Elizabeth or RobinWendy attacking anybody for choosing to be mainly alternative, much to the contrary, I feel their contributions to our discussions have been well-balanced and very useful.
So, I am not sure what's going on here? I can perceive some anger, but the only explanation I have for this situation is that a GIANT misunderstanding has happened at some point.
