Thinking of you Carol...
AND HERE IS TO THE 4th:))) countdown two weeks from today!
-
Happy, happy birthday truebff!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
-
Have a great day Truebff!

I want to thank everyone for the prayers and to let you know that I was released from the hospital this afternoon. This, without a doubt, was the hardest surgery I've been through but in spite of the edema and pain I know that it will be well worth the effort. Dr Chrysopoulo from PRMA was my surgeon and you are right Sherry, they are all spectacular and do amazing work.
Still have a few more hurdles to get through involving the pathology report but after this I think I can face anything at this point. We are going to stay here for a few weeks then travel the 15 hours back home but broken down into 3 stages. Hopefully the pain will have improved by then. Of course if radiation is put on the menu this change some of our plans but will cross that bridge when we get to it.
Happy Birthday Truebff! Hope it was a really great one for you. I use to think those days weren't any big deal and just another pie in the face for getting another year older but this experience has really changed my perspective about getting another year older.
Thank you again one and all!!!!
-
I had the BEST birthday ever!!!!!!! Thank you all for celebrating with me!!!!! Birthdays are awesome!!!!! For us ALL!!!!!!
-
truebff happy belated birthday
seabeal congrats on being done with surgery hope you are healing well. I have an appt with Dr. LeDoux at PRMA on Monday. Hopefully will get my first fills since surgery. They are all wonderful and my nurse Amy has been so wonderful always returning my calls promptly and answering my questions.
-
Happy Belated birthday trueBFF. Good to hear that it was the best ever!! As Seabeal said, birthdays sure don't mean the same anymore huh?
Seabeal - Continuing to send prayers for a speedy recovery and trip home for you.
Count me in for the pocket party Monday Sherry!
Speaking of PS, I saw mine yesterday and was discharged from his care. Course I am to go back if I have any issues but was cut loose. Excited to go back to normal but not sure what that is anymore. Kinda scary too....

((((truebff))) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

truebff,
Birthdays are wonderful - glad yours was great. Any cake left???
seabeal, so glad you are out of the hospital. It is a time for healing and
looking forward to doing those normal things you love. Hugs and prayers go your
way.
Vickie, what great news. This is what we all want to hear, so you give us hope.
Thanks for all the good wishes for my day off... I was sooooo tired when I got home, I fell
asleep until this morning. It was a wonderful decision to go upstate and be with nice people and learn new things and do a challenging hike....I was the last one up the mountain, but I made it. See my avatar.
Hugs for everyone...

Just returned from our awesome vacation...one of the best we've had in a long time..or maybe it's just that I appreciate them more now:) The weather was perfect...except for a few days in Nevada when the wind was howling ( not a problem for the gals because we were doing spa treatments) but the guys golfing didn't like it. On to Scottsdale Az for a week after that and I just love that place! It has everything....good food...good shopping...entertainment...nice scenery....and the people are so hospitable. I did not encounter one surly service person the entire trip! Honestly, I would move there if it weren't so far from the kids and grands.
Lot of catching up to do over the next several days. Welcome to any newbies and happy birthday, Truebff...hope you enjoyed your day.
Prayers and positive energy to all!
-
Joan ~ Beautiful avatar & such a lovely day. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time. I really think we all need some of those "Calgon Take Me Away" moments. And to have one of those at the top of a mountain to boot - well, what more can we ask for?!? (well, I can think of tons of stuff, but..........I digress...)
truebff ~ I'm a bit late to the party, but I hope your Birthday was fabulous!
seabeal ~ Continued best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hugs to all!
-

OMG there are many pages I am behind on. Its going to take a while to get caught up. Sorry I've been MIA but my home Internet is down.
I also want to thank all my sisters for the support and prayers the last 6 months I dint know what I would have done without you. I finally got a job!!! I start my orientation Monday. I will be working in a nursing home on 11pm to 7 am shift after my training is done. I will work 4 days and then be off 2 days. That will be my work schedule rotation. I can't wait to get back to work o just hope I can sleep during the day. lol!! I will let you all know how things go. Take care.
Much love
Renee -
Congrats on the new job Renee!
-
Renee: So happy that you found a good job! I'll bet you can't wait to get started.
-
Renee congrats on your new job. I never thought I would see the day us nurses wouldn't be able to find 2 jobs on every street corner but it seems that time has arrived in spite of the nursing shortage that's still out there. That worries me some since Taos is so small there is only one street corner in the town.
Sherry, we may be passing ships in the night in the morning. I have to call in the morning to go in for a quick check. I have developed a hot red rash under my arms spreading over my back. Skin in stiff, itchy and tender to touch. It sort of looks like cellulitis but then I'm no doctors and have been out of relm since all this has started. The edema has increased considerably since I was discharged yesterday. Anyway I've sent a prayer up for both of us to have good results tomorrow (and everyday)
Carol
-
Renee!!!!!! So so so happy for you! Congrats on your new job.
Kaara - sounds like you had a wonderfull vacation. Welcome back!
Prayers for Carol & Sherry tomorrow.
-
Renee, Congrats on the new job. Good luck Carol and Sherry.
-
Rene, Congrats on the job! I know you've been ready for this for a long time. You're going to do great!
Truebff, yes birthdays are wonderful for all of us. On Saturday I met up with a friend who helped me through my BC 8 years ago. I haven't seen her in quite some time, so I was shocked that just a few months ago she went through her fourth cancer! All four were of different types, breast, bladder, skin and now lung! She was the only person I knew who had BC at the time, and she gave me hope. Now, at the age of 84 she is still a scappy fighter and I am blessed to know her. We discussed that birthdays are something to be proud of.

Sheila, you, Granny & Annette are meeting soon! Is it the 4th? I expect & demand pictures!! (Not that demanding ever gets me anywhere!)
-
Joni....Joan811 and Laura from another thread are joining too.
We post pictures from the jail....probably one of us will be arrested for disturbing the peace Grand Central Station hahahahahahaa
I'm looking forward to it.
I promise one picture with me in it.........
-
Sherry, hope your appointment went well. I passed today as the rash though still present was much improved this morning. I'll be calling tomorrow to see if the path report is in see if I can pick up another bra to wear while cleaning this one.
It was a much better day today, got out and about some to save my sanity. Went to see a show (The Lucky One - really really good) and had dinner out. I'll find out in the morning if I over did things but even if I did it was worth it. If I hadn't gotten out I probably would have just sit around this apartment and cried a lot (been doing a lot of that). I can tell my brain is beginning to clear some of the drugs out as I'm beginning to remember some of the things I can't find because I can't remember where I put them (I know ya'll understand that statement) Here's for another day closer to normality unless somethings else happens before then.
-
77 Tomorrow, I can't believe it......................why you say.............cause I feel like friggin 90 some days.............................Oh well, like I always say..................what doesn't kill you.......will make you stronger......................
-
We can start celebrating little early.
♥
-
Good Night All! ♥

Love the ducky BD, Sheila!
Happy Birthday, Ducky!!! You don't sound a day over 39....love your spirit!
Any plans?
Kaara, welcome back - so glad you had a good trip. Did you stay with friends in Scottsdale? I stayed at the Boulders a few years ago and I loved it there. It's another smaller town that I think starts with S....weather perfect, great night sky....and nothing to do but enjoy it. (I think I took myself there for my 60th BD.)
Granny, missed you too....not the same here w/o you. What joy to have a wedding....and your dear Gkids....now enjoy a little rest!
Up too late.....was grading papers....gotta get up soon. I don't think my body likes me.
Gn all...sending thoughts for appointments this week...and for recovery.
So glad about your job, Renee! Prayers are answered.
Joan
