Carol - will be thinking of you over the next days and weeks as you recover and heal. Gentle hugs...
-
Carol, thinking of you and sending prayers for a speedy recovery and as minimal pain as possible.
Annette, you are so brave! You go! Envious of your May 4th get-together.
-
Carol, Sending prayers for a quick recovery and good pain meds for little pain.
Annette - You go girl!!!!!
We find out the the results of my mom's uterine cancer pathology on Thursday. Praying for stage 1.
I agree with Meece - I'm envious of your get together also!
-
Carol, just said a prayer for you that the surgery goes well. Prayers also for you husband, sometimes I think they have it just a little bit harder than us (at least on the day of surgery waiting for us to get out of surgery).
Hawk, prayers for your mom as well.
-
Carol, My prayers are with you!
Annettek, what kind of a retreat did you want to go to? Sounds like a move into Life! Love the top down and radio up night drive too.
-
Carol, Hugs and good wishes for an uneventful surgery. Let us know how you're doing when you feel up to it.
-
Annette so sorry the retreat was not what you expected but sounds like you made your own retreat that you needed.
Carol-I had my BMX with TE's three weeks ago with PRMA. I had Dr. LeDoux, who is your Dr.? Dr. LeDoux is amazing as all the Dr's with PRMA are. The staff at Methodist hospital was wonderful. Best Hospital experience I have every had. I guess with the DIEP you will have to hang around SA for a couple of weeks post op. You probably won't feel like getting out much. Hope you heal fast.
hawk I'll be praying for your mom

Hi to my Stage 1 Sisters,
I've been off for a week - working and doing taxes...just catching up....
Wow...no posts for 24 hours here? Or is the thread broken?
Prayers for Carol....hoping things went OK and that you will have a quick and uneventful recovery. This must be a very tough time...it is time to heal now, and put the BC beast out of your life.
Granny - I noticed it's been 2 years since your dx.....here's to your continued good health....love your fighting spirit.
Heather - hoping you and your mom have good news.
Joan -
Thank you Joan. I agree - it has been extremely quiet! Spring is in the air and hopefully everyone is outside and enjoying themselves.
Continued prayers for Carol.
Hugs to all of you.
-
That must be it, everyone is enjoying the Spring weather...
-
The weather has been fantastic this week! I know it won't last, but trying to get out as much as possible! Hope everyone has a lovely day!
-
I have been so overworked this past 1-1/2 weeks and almost turned down a chance for a nice outing tomorrow. Our science scholars are going on a trip with some of the science faculty to Mohonk Mountain House tomorrow (all expenses paid by college).. I had typed my regrets and was about to hit send, when I changed my mind and said "I'd love to go".....it means getting up at 5:00 AM and bringing some work on the 3 hour bus ride; but it will be worth it to be outside in a beautiful place ... and getting a great lunch, too. The work will wait. It is supposed to be pretty nice weather, too.
I hope I am learning to make sensible priorities! -
Joan811 - Sounds like a great adventure - take your camera and enjoy the day!!!
-
Joan811, Good for you. I think you made the right choice. We get too wrapped up in details and overlook the need to step back and enjoy the scenery once in awhile.
-
I hope you enjoy your day Joan!
-
Good choice Joan! Have a GREAT trip!
-
I have some good news. Saw my RO this morning and the 6month diagnostic mammo shows NED!!!
I am so thankful for that. See the MO monday. Still taking the Letrozole, few SEs so sure he will continue it...
I enjoy reading all of your posts, even tho' I usually don't comment.
