CALLING ALL STAGE I SISTERS

I had the dreaded mammogram today which went well. Now the waiting for results will be weighing on my mind. The distraction - or the main event for the day- is a Toro riding lawnmower bought yesterday and wouldn't start today. My normally mechanical husband' who suffers from early stage Alzheimer was of no help, After studying the manuals I called the dealership . They could not get it started and hauled it back to the shop. Problems like these keeps one from dwelling on BC and looking forward to life as usual. The near future is a trip to Savannah in our motor-home.

Jane - I am crossing my fingers for a clear mammo. You will have to let us know what the results are when you get them. It is always good to have a distraction from BC even if it is a piece of equipment that won't work.
-
Jane-hopeing for a clear mammo, keep us posted. The motor home trip sounds fun

Anyone .. walking in The 'Revlon' Walk/Run .. at the Los Angeles Coliseum, May 7th ? My first walk .. too weak and in the throws of chemo last year.
Vicki Sam
-
countm e in meece- i would make the trip- how cool if we did a walk and gave all the money to women who need it-for treatment, for wigs, hell, for a phone bill...direct to the source...o even picked a good researcher and gave them the money...or started a fund for one of the natural course of treatments that cant seem to get funding by big pharma

Annettek welcome back i was gonna file for a missing person tonight.
How are you?
-
thanks sheila...i am my old cigarettepuffinf addict self...made it seven days but then went completely bonkers....will ty again...love you all gonna go hit the sack as i have not slept in days
-
annette - don't be too hard on yourself. Most smokers who try quitting the first time don't succeed.
But you are a strong person and I know you will make it the second time around. -
annettek...Maybe this wasnt the right time. Im also failing on my diet.
Hey jo....Nasilsin bu gece arkadasim?♥
-
Meece, count me in. Love Napa! Jane, prayers going up for you!
-
Annette, it will happen in time. Last night we were watching tv and a commercial came on for Chantix (DH tried it for two months). DH said it was the first time he could watch the commercial without cringing. We've been together 7 years and he's beeing trying to quit since before then. He stopped sometime before Christmas, so it has been over 3 months. It will happen.
I think Napa would be fun, and relaxing.
-
Sheila - cok iyiyim nasilsiniz iyi gunler
-
Napa sound like too much fun!!!!!!!!
Annette hang in there it will happen when the time is right.
-
Napa? Think of all the wine tasting we could do.
-
Can you imagine a bunch of us tasting wine and chatting? Napa wouldn't know what hit 'em.
-
We will sound like the girls in VIEW
-
Nobody better get mad and walk out though.
-
We should always keep our political views to ourselves.
We'll be to happy to walk out anywhere.
-
They might have to roll us out.
-
Former Napa resident here! My mother lived there for over 20 years and I'm within driving distance. Happy to play tour guide and perhaps designated driver since I'm not a wine fan! I know all the best places to eat up there (which shows in the size of my hips
)!
-
Maybe it would be fun to look ahead several months and try to put something together. Need time to adjust the budgets, you know.
-
Someone mentioned food
Hi ajtina.
-
My son was married in Napa and so we had to find some rental homes to stay in. I have a contact for one that was just amazing and very inexpensive....
-
I've never been to Cal except to fly out of LA airport. Didn't see much... it was 9 PM. Napa sounds like a dream trip!
-
How about this for starters?
-
I'm back! I returned home Monday, but have not been able to get on the computer because of a damaged phone line & with me having old-fashioned dial-up, I've been going nuts not being able to get back online.
I had a great time with the grandkids, lots of FUN. I truly think the time away has done me a world of good.
Now to go back several pages & get caught up on everyone.
Have missed you all & it's good to be back "home".

Count me in too ...I tried going off wine as my ONC said sugar and wine are not my friends. But realized I have lived by the book all my life, had a healthy vegetarian diet and worked out a clean life, and shit happens...so now I plan to live life to the fullest. Cancer or no Cancer.
BTW. tried finding the K167 score on all my path reports...no luck. By the time I am done with this, I will have all my reports memorised.
I had to share this quote, with you sisters - "If you cant handle me at my worst, then you dont deserve my best"...Marilyn Monroe
-
Any sisters in SoCal? I am looking for a good Onc to get a 2nd opinion.
-
Valjean - Welcome back. We missed you. Glad you had a great time with the grandkids.
Welcome bombaygal - Sorry you have to be here with us but this is great bunch of gals. So supportive and they have lots of information to share. Someone will chime in about an onc in SoCal. I am originally from there but live in Texas now.
