Suz45 - sweetie, I hope things take an upswing for you soon. I'm sending my thoughts and hugs to you!
Ladies - Wow! I have missed so much! I have spent the last week exhausted so I haven't turned on the computer at home. It was all I could do to make it through work each day this week. I had treatment #4 last Friday and it has really wiped me out.
MaryNY - please update my smilies with #4 complete.
They changed my treatment to Adriamycin and Cytoxan (I have no idea what initials that equals!) Unfortunately, I am getting the SEs on this one. The plus side is I have lost 5 of the pounds I put on since starting this so I guess everything making you nauseus has it's benefits.
Just wanted to pop in to say "HI". I will have to catch up on the rest of the posts (2 pages) this weekend as I am only grabbing some time at work.
-
snuiziq, glad you are back. I don't see how anyone works the week after their tx. I couldn't do it if I tried. I am feeling fine now, but it has taken me all week to get over the fatigue.
I am waiting on my son and granddaughter to get her. She will raise my spirits and make up for being home bound.
Hope everyone has a great SE free weekend.

Hi girls, you have been busy posting. So much going on.
suzie, I am so sorry you have to deal with so much. My prayers to you and your family,
Maryny please add another smiley for me. I had TX3 on Wednesday....half done hooray! I told the NP how desperately tired I have been so she changed my steroid schedule. Instead of the big drop off I will also take 2 today, 2 tomorrow and one Sunday. Hopefully I won't be in bed all Sat. and Sun. We will see. The only bad thing is it may add 10 more pounds to this round little body...oh well...I will deal with that if it comes.
Juannelle, Michelle, Valerie hope things improve
Jojo glad that wand is back
Shelby wishing you sunshine and happiness on your wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have a good night all, Jean

SHELLBY
One more sleep for you happy wedding day !!
I think that this last tx has been the best out of the three , Ive been more sick in the tummy and just as fatigue ,but my head wasn't foggy at all and that helped heaps .
I do hope everyone that has just had their TX is coping OK, i think of you guys every day and now when I'm reading JUANNELLE posts i try and talk with a twang and a big smile on my face and also with the Aussie accent , it would be good and surprising to hear every body's accents.
Sam and i watched 2 great movies last night one was MY SISTERS KEEPER, and the other one was , THE BLIND SIDE ,I highly recommend these movies a must to have while watching them is a box of tissues , a block of choc, a pkt of twisties, and,a cup of Jasmin tea , and a pill for heart burn (thats a must ).
SNUZIQ
Wow i have given up work until treat is all done even on my good days my energy levels are pretty pathetic. hats of to you !!! and to loosing weight, it good if you have the extra to loose Ive gained 2 KG and feel like a puffer fish .
PRINCESS JOJO

princess jojo, our ascents together would cause a riot. It certainly would be an interesting mix. I have been wanting to see The Blind Side, but the day we went to see it, it was sold out and we haven't had a chance to go to the movies since.
jean, congrats on your 3rd tx and I hope you have a weekend of mild SEs. You are half through, wooohooooo.
Good weekend to everyone.

Thank you everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. I finally crashed at 5am friday morn and am still tired but feeling much better mentally and emotionally. Lol its 2 am sat... Think I can still grab a nap.
This tx #5 definately brought on the worst SE's for me. I was down to dry heaves for a while and my hips were\are in agony. But things are definately on the upswing... Actually I heard someone mention seafood and I was thinking that would hit the right spol..lol.
Shelby.. Oh happy day weather you have sunshine or liquid sunshine. I wish all the best on this glorious day for you..
As for anyony worrying about weight...DONT... our bodies are taking a lot of abuse and they will come back.. I was in a bikini in the carribean one year ago, that was less than a year from my first treatments and 2 months after I had my oopherectomy. Just look after yourself now and stay a healty as you can..
I so love the fact when I here our kids will be home for christmas. Im so blessed to have my 19 year old son with me..Yes he has attitude, but he is the first to wrap me in a hug when he see's that Im upset or not well. DH seems to becoming around too and has been hugging ang cuddling more when he is home. This I need more than anything, as there is nothing like human touch from the ones you love to bring you back from the gloom.
Im very blessed to be self employed so I can take my bad days to bed and deal with just a few calls. You ladies amaze me that just go straight to work. Morepower to you!! Just dont over due it.
Give me a day or two and i can catch up and callout by name
I feel a lil embarassed but have been away so long and chemo brain has really settled in at this point, Lol only one more chemo then things will hopefully start to work again.
Question is anyone else having there surgeries (in my case a double masc) after there chemo & rads. Im on TC X 6 then 25 rads and it would seem I will need to wait for the girls to be replaced. Thats ok because life is more important than a couple of bumps on my chest
.
I hope everyone has a beautifull weekend and no stresses or se's. Lots of love and hugs in return for all your kindness.... I believe in hugs . Will start catching up later today on all the older posts so I can start putting names to faces or pics Lol. Love Ya gals and again thanks for the helping ear. Hugs Suz

Thank you everyone! It was a TERRIFIC day, and I couldn't be happier! Well, maybe if I could be asleep it would be better, lol (Frank snores LOUD). If you want to see the pictures, I have them posted to my facebook account. I'm going to try to figure out how to post my video to YouTube, and if I can figure it out, I'll post the link here.

a very short one form me - wanted to wish Shelby so much hapiness, was in transit when her happy day was underway, huge congratulations to you both
Suz - good luck, stay strong and feel the caring of our sisters here.
All others, sorry i am not able to mention each one here - am stil catching up a bit after such a poor connection. but the update is that chemo 3 is done (THANK GOODNES) so a vomiting, yucky, ground hog face or smiley face would be wonderful. nearly half way but it feels so far away. No 4 is due for 5 January now.
am feelikng pretty rough - just slept for 5 hours and can't stomach anything - even water which i am disguising was a quick squeeze of lemon. yuck yck yick
more tomorrow and strength and love to you
philippa
-
Congratulations Shelby! You look radiant in your new avatar.
-
Hi Philippa:
Sorry you are feeling so rough. If you had to travel in the aftermath of chemo, I'm sure that didn't help. I'm finding it hard to stomach water now at the moment too, yet I know I need to be drinking lots of fluids. Although plain water seems yucky, I find that seltzer water is very palatable. Maybe you could try something like that or sparkling water. It just feels much cleaner in the mouth to me.
-
thanks mary - yes i am trying to disguise it with a tough of fresh lemon, it usually helps but i think this is just the first yucky bit, tomorrow will have emend. i have he same dilemma with the fluids but struggling to get the down.
the groundhog days are here - but that also means they wil be over soon i hope.
TXstardust - just seen your pics - you look amazing! i would love to see your pics (maybe on facebook)
hugs

Shelby you look beautiful ! I am so glad you had a wonderful day. I wish you so much happiness. Try to post a picture bigger in a post for us. You look radiant in that avatar but my chemo eyes are failing me a bit those pics are too darn small ~
HUGS girls !
Alicia
-
Congratulations Shelby!! We're so happy for you!
-
OK, I'm going to try to post a picture...We'll see if this works!
OK, that's huge, but I don't know how to make it smaller. It's me and the hubby and my girls.
Philippa, I'd love to see you on facebook, just look me up under my email address. I will PM it to you if you'd like. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
-
Shelby- what a beautiful photo! You look awesome! I hope the weather in San Antonio was better than it was in North Texas yesterday. I guess it doesn't matter since you are obviously happy. Best wishes for your future.
I hope everyone has had a good weekend. It seems like there is something scheduled for every weekend through the end of the year around here. High school band concert Friday, party last night, middle school band concert and daughters birthday party tonight....No wonder I'm tired!
Actually, I am feeling better today so maybe the new drug will only effect me for a week each time. That gives me two weeks of goodness so I think I'll take it.
Princess JoJo- I actually know some Aussies: my cousin married one. Her accent only got a bit twangy-er the 2 years she lived in Houston. Although when she moved back to Queensland they probably thought it was VERY twangy. The weirdest thing is I thought a friend of mine's mom was an Aussie, but she was just a British lady who lived in Texas for 15 years...amazing how we managed to turn her into someone from your neck of the woods! I agree with you that it would be great if there was a way we conference call and hear the support from everyone. There is a lot of caring and love in this group and we manage pretty well to convey it via text, but I'm betting the strength of it in our voices would be amazing!
Oh, well, off to prep to be around a couple hundred strangers.... Hugs to all. Have a great rest of the weekend.
-
Shelby you look beautiful!!!!! And you have a beautiful family to boot!
Hey my husband's snoring used to bring the house down but turns out he had sleep apnea and now we just hear the quiet whirring of his c-pap machine - I can't sleep without it now!
Congrats again!- Valerie
-
Shelby ~ BEAUTIFUL pic. Hubby is handsome and daughter beautiful like her mom. UMMM your wig looks great on YOU. LOVE IT !!! Congrats sweetie.
MY hubby snores LIKE mad too... especially in the winter, I think it is the dryness of the heat being on. Thankfully I have a spare bedroom I head into.
