ndgrrl, my doc uses the surgery date. That is when you are considered cancer-free basically, so you count from that usually.
-
Barsco- google a recipe for baking. There is sautéing involved. I also have a friend who brews a tea with it that works well.
Funny, all the medical marijuana activists have been contacting me for testimonials and interviews. I've done some radio shows and I am speaking at a rally in September. LOL, was not my intention to be the Norma Rae for this subject! You never know what life brings you!
-
i think that you should wave your hand in front of your face, to watch the colorful trails, and get completely absorbed in it, and speak....veeery...sloooowly....while being interviewed. just for extra added fun. love the brain, E.
-
ndgrrl ~ I can't figure out what date to use as my cancerverary so I decided to use the whole month!
-
I just had to share this wedding gift that came in the mail yesterday! These wine glasses look just like us! (only very complimentary....when I had hair...). Are these not the most clever gift?
-
jbokland those are cool! They look like those hand painted wine glasses you can get for different occasions. What a unique and thoughtful gift!
-
Kathec, Love it!
Bokland, Mazel tov! (Ok, I am not Jewish, but I like "Mazel Tov" anyway).
-
kathec, I practiced your version of speaking "highly" without the actual ingredient and cracked myself up.

hi all
Wednesday already. In 1 week I'm back in the chair. Suspect that I will continue weekly for my last few weeks but I'll know more next tues when I meet with my onc. If I maintained my schedule it would be 2 more rounds every third week but given my reaction I see this changing
As of today tummy is much better. Taste buds are off but atleast my tongue is not burning. I've also noticed that my nose is very dry and whenever I blow, seems bloody. I think that there are dry blood clots in there. Anyone else have this?
Having lost most of my eyelashes my eyes are sticky most mornings and often continues for the duration of the day. I sure hope that eyelashes grow back quickly!
I am finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning but have my hubby set the clock for 8am. I must admit that I'm having great sleeps although I something's wake up drenched or restless
I still have enough energy to exercise. Going on treadmill soon followed by weights. I hope that this helps! I try to maintain this as much as possible
My left foot sometimes feels strange -weird tingling or slightly numb but nothing too bothersome
Funny story - when my pain was severe I was told to try some weed. It will help ure pain. Just a bit. Well I had an anxiety attack and ended up on the kitchen floor. True I had no pain but I freaked out. I remember saying " my eyes my eyes" and " I don't like how this is making me feel". There was my hubby trying to get me to relax while I ran around the house in a state of panic. I went outside saying I needed air then was back in the house. All of this happened on less than 5 minutes. Then I'm on the floor. My hubby said I just stopped rambling and with eyes open had a controlled fall into his arms. now this story will become one of those - remember when you did this and that happened? Ha ha. Some rockstar!!!
Another memory!! Tx cancer!! Lol
Wishing you all a great day!
-
thought you all would get a chuckle from this.
-
FBN- That's quite a visual! you freaking out on the kitchen floor.
What I have learned about MJ is that there are 2 types, sativa and indica. Indica will mellow you, sativa may cause the paranoid/freak out. When I got the medical MJ, it was a hybrid of most!
Aren't I the street-smart girl...LOL!
-
mac - great apple product. thanks for sharing.
-
You know how women stash stuff in their bras? They should make foobs with built-in stash pockets.
-
thanks for the belly laugh Macatacmy.Your doing great FBN.
-
mac - thx for the chuckle.
FBN - glad things have improved for you. Hope that tingling/numbness doesn't become bothersome. Your freak out story gave me a little chuckle. Could picture a YouTube video as I was reading it. Reminds me of the following video that was making the rounds a while ago. I'm sure some of you have seen it but it still makes me chuckle. Check it out.
-
too funny barsco!!! Lmao
-
you guys are crackin me up!
-
good one, bars! That guy looked mellow musta been sativa. Boy, this is an educational thread!
-
jbokland is our weed expert!
-
I found that smoking pot made my pain worse as I relaxed more! Same with alcohol. So now I don't drink or smoke anymore. I WISH I got pain relief from pot as it doesn't "bother" me mentally.
-
LOL HomeMom.
barbe, that's the trouble with buying the street stuff...it not modified properly for medical use. I was very fortunate to access the 'Colorado yum yum'.
Medical MJ just passed in NY, and hopefully in Florida in November.
-
The funny thing about it passing in November is I will be finished with treatment totally. My timing is ALWAYS off.
-
jbokland, we have the BEST pot up here in Canada!! BC Gold is pretty amazing. It just doesn't cut the level of pain I was in...even Fentanyl patches barely cut it.
-
lol! This board is too funny

When my cousin was using her happy brownies, no one told her 90 year old mom about them and they were kept out of the way. You guessed it, she found them and she is a chocolate fanatic so, when she was acting a little strange, they questioned her and she said those brownies were so good, so I ate them all. LOL
-
too funny 3rdtime!! That happened to us with one of our teenage boys at the time. We had our magic brownies in the cupboard over the fridge. Pretty well hidden..right? Well our boys tended to "hunt" for something to eat and when one of them was laughing hysterically we knew. Yep, he'd eaten some....
-
LOL - love the hidden brownie stories! Just when you think it's safe to go into the cupboard.......
-
good morning all
I meet with my onc tomorrow to discuss balance of my chemo and then wed back in the chair at 10am. 2 rounds left but if I have to go weekly I imagine that would be six weeks of infusions. Ugh!
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to meet my idol Scott weiland - Scott used to sing with the stone temple pilots and is now touring solo. I got up on stage to sing with him and he later introduced me to his drummer mike - a cancer survivor!!
Hot Scott made my night! He's the best and I'll never forget how he made me forget all about cancer and rocked my world as he's done several times in the past. 😊❤️
-
What an amazing night!!! Wow-wee!!
