Loral, your last two posts were hysterical! The slurring one was confusing me at first, thinking you were really feeling it, until my addled brain realized that only a really sober person could pretend to be a really drunk person!!! (I on the other hand ... oh never mind :)) And I've never seen anything like that middle age one ... I think I'll just keep doing this middle age thing and hope they raise overall life expectancy so I can always fit it!

Had to get early today after that late night party to go to 9-month old grandson's first swim lesson! Oh the things I do that I never thought I would! Yup...stayed home from the shore/campground to watch David have fun in the water :) We went back to their house after and had a very nice lunch, which lots of MomMom and David play time on their playroom floor. Love that little guy more than I really thought possible, and he's at an age where he knows me and willingly comes to me over other people. Can you see that beaming I'm doing from there? I'm guessing yes!!

    A good day in Mary-land :)

    Too true, Loral, too true!

Is he going to swim before walking, mar?  Why not?  I guess if they can crawl, they can do the crawl stroke, right?

Mar...that was not me slurrrrrrring my words.

Your grandson sounds adorable. I love babies, they are so cute. I never had any, so I'll never have any, but I still love babies. Congrats on having a wonderful day with the little guy.

The quote about the neighbor having to mow around literally had me laughing out loud.  One time, many many many years ago, I woke up wrapped up in my neighbor's rose bush.  I was torn to pieces!

I thought the lawn mower thing was hillarious, too.

Eli~....Sweetie....Don't I remember a milestone celebration where you took off your pink doggie costume for a short period of time????

I wish I could have a REAL party like the one we had the other night!

Eph - that must have been some night! I don't have any fond memories of a yard or landscaping but that movie title, "Dude, Where's My Car?", rings a bell with me. Haha, boy we were bad!

I met a man about my age the other day in my MO's office. You know, you're both sitting there sick, dealing with a serious illness, and we started talking and then I said, "Oh, the 70's were good years!". And he brightened up and said, "The 80's too!" and then we both laughed and laughed. Laughing

Well, it's not letting my Freddie Mercury picture show up.  It was a pictogram-Queen (Freddie) of tarts (above pics.)

You get it though, I'm sure.

Best of Luck today and beyond, Dianarose.  Ya know, I would dearly love just to be able to smell the aroma of a real bakery.  Grocery store bakeries have no smell and no soul.  I used to go to a real bakery and I miss those homemade goods so much.

A local bakery always has a pot of coffee brewing in the lobby area.  The bakery smell and coffee is so warm and inviting.

Thanks so much everyone. I am so dam tired, but it is a good tired. It was a good opening day. We have not advertised yet as we want to work out the menu and get things more streamlined first. I hired a prep chef today as lunch is too crazy making tons of sandwiches and it takes away from baking. The top things today were whoopie pies and tuna sandwiches. Chicken salad came in 2nd along with blueberry buckle cake. I will get some pictures this week.Off to bed as I only got 2 hrs sleep last night.
