Diana - sounds like a big round of Yahoos. Wow Monday is what 3 days away. What's on the menu for opening day?
Sounds like your MO is on the ball. Let's go with radiation changes.I go for mammo on Lefty on Monday - 6 month checkup. BS's office called today - why hadn't I had it done yet (due in July). Well, they need to call the order in and appt. with BS is end of August. I think office person was actually relieved when I agreed to Mon. appt. Geesh. What if I were on a world cruise???

Meece - I just watched Theodoric Medeival Barber of York. Does that bring back memories. Though Theodoric was not anywhere near as gross as Julia Child impersonation. Thanks for the memories. Wikipedia says late 1970s.
-
Diana - looking forward to hearing about how opening day goes! Hope you aren't too busy or tired to stop by for a quick hello. Happy to hear that your dream is coming to fruition. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! (I'm going with radiation being the culprit too)
-
HNS, BSGI is breast specific gamma imaging. The dye they inject is attracted to cancer cells. Advisable for dense breast tissue that hides things or situations like mine where radiation caused whacko changes in that breast which continue to evolve even this many yrs later. You sit in a chair and the tech pushes the machine to you. Mild compression for ten minutes per view. I get three views on each side.
Diana, congrats on all the permits! Did Mr. Touchy Feely have to be there again? Please take pics to post here...we want to share! -
So, Ladies...What's taking so long to get to 25,000? Are we savoring the build up?
-
Since we are getting to it so late, we will have to have the festivities tomorrow. More chance for our regulars to join in. Since it's an all day BBQ, I hope one of you pressure-cooking rib-masters is going to be bringing some. Nighty night and we'll kick it off birght an early tomorrow.
-
And here we have post...

E ~ Congratulations on this milestone of 25,000 posts!!
I am getting a migraine, the aura is getting so bad I'm having a hard time seeing, especially out of my right eye. Damn! (and for some stupid reason I had to log in tonight. really?!?)
SO, I have to get some ibuprofen & get to bed.
Back tomorrow for the par-tay!

25,000 posts!!!! Only the middies can reach such a milestone. Thought I might bring some morning party fare to get us started.
Have to go out shopping later to gather more ingredients for bbq party food. Can't wait till everyone arrives - fun, fun, fun!!

While that sentiment is very true, Dianarose, today we are having a beautiful sunny sky with big white clouds. Don't forget to look for shapes in the clouds.
I've got the tables all set up, and barsco has done a great job with our breakfast fare. So help yourself and enjoy!
-
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm excited I even did my nails for the party. Can't wait to dig in... The table looks beautiful.

-
Loral, love those party nails!

There are a few threads bigger but none better! Of course, I would say that. I'll toot that horn, you bet. We haven't had many Newbies lately, but if they are reading now, they are welcome. Yes, there are "regulars" to this thread, but if you jump right in and tell a little about yourself, you can be a 'regular" in no time. Also, I hope some of the lurkers pop in today. We worked real hard to get to 25,000, just for your reading enjoyment, so be sure to stop in and grab something off the grill.
Today also honors Eph and Meece. These two are the OG's of the thread. (Pardon my hip-hop talk, but I mean "original gals.") They go way back almost to the beginning and have been fun and full of support the whole time.
I also want to take a moment to remember PauldingMom, Reesie and Marybe, who we were lucky to have posting with us for the time they did. Fabulous ladies who are missed every day, but whose joyous spirits have stayed with us.
Finally, I appreciate the kindness and realness each and every one of you brings to this thread. It means so much to know that there are others who face this every day with fierceness and grace. My competitive nature is saying, "Well, if she can buck up and get through this, so can I!" No one is challenging me, but I accept that challenge anyway.

Whenever someone's ready, I'll play some horseshoes with you.
-
I think to start off with we ALL need these fashionable hats. Nothing says festive without a GIANT hotdog hat. Keep us cool while playing horseshoes.
-
Who gets to wear this cute number???
-
Aaaaw! Look at that cute cloud.
-
Well said Elimar...
Thanks to all of you, this is a great place that has become a big part of me.
-
Red Solo Cup....
-
Loral, it won't look too Christmas-y if we put some Mojito punch into those red solo cups, will it? Who cares? Christmas in July!
-
I would so love to have a barbeque under the trees with all you fabulous ladies today.
-
-
OOO - Mojito punch. Guess its not too early somewhere like where Momine lives.
-
Good thing my houndog is no longer here to see that cloud. For any of you bringing pets today, there will be a ginormous pet buffet spread set out all day long. I wasn't sure what your goats would like, luv, but they better not eat the tablecloth!
-
What a beautiful day for a picnic! I found a tablecloth and made myself a picnic dress. Thanks, luv, for the lovely matching hot dog hat!
Yes, I'll have one of those mojitos, too.... yummy, perfect!
