Was worth the wait, as I am still carry-ing on as much as possible.
Oh Yeah, I hear you on guys with Long Hair BarbA. And Cyndi Lauper too. The last Vinyl Album I bought was hers...... I vote the 70's Thee Greatest Back in the Day for Music. Right next to the 60's.
I hope you are all feeling great, and sleep tight.

I've finally decided! my mo landed on the dude right in front! He looks pretty cute. The first live concert I ever went to was Elton John, about twelve years ago.....I was a very late bloomer...lol
-
I saw Elton John 28 years ago! Was a GREAT concert.
I heard something on the radio today and didn't catch it all. Cher's daughter Chastity and something about a sex change??? Did I get that right or was I sleeping in the car?
-
Yes barbe you got it right.
-
My first concert was Waylan Jennings. Took my husband for our anniversary. Boy that was a long time ago. Almost 1/2 my lifetime ago. Brings back memories. Saw the dr's today. Said staples looked good. Maybe take out some next week. Hopefully have them all out by the 19th. We are having our yearly mini-family reunion / 1st weekend of Deer season fish fry tomorrow. Go hunters, we need deer meat. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Party on girls.
-
barbe that's OLLLLLDDDD news. Chastity has been Chaz for way over a year if not longer.
-
Maybe (s)He finally got the whole thing finished.
-
my first live concert in a theatre setting was Dave Mason, of Traffic, when he went out on his own. not counting the "be ins" in fairmount park in Phila with lots of local talent. brazos - i saw chicago in phila and as we were leaving, on pattison ave, a limo pulled up alongside my car and - yes - it was THEM and my girlfriend and i started screaming!!!! saw Jimi Hendrix at Temple when i was about 15 - his last live concert anywhere. and saw janis ian at the Main Line in Bryn Mawr, PA before she was famous. ahhh....love going down concert memory lane with my buddies in here. here's my pic for the party ... i'm not in this pic, but could have been
-
I wish I could have this hunk escort me to the party........I would forgo the limo & ride on his bike!
-
me too, Val, me too! They just don't make them like Steve anymore!
-
valjean..he's yummy.. does he have a brother? send him my way, dont be greedy.. you gals got me strollin down memory lane. saw Elton John a few yrs ago, with billy joel, before his rehab..and i was a huge fan of Janis Ias' for years
-
First concert, Beach Boys at Summerfest, "Good Vibrations" says it all.
In 1981 I saw the Rolling Stones at the Superdome in New Orleans. It still holds the record as the largest indoor concert in history...87,500.
Bob Marley, Talking Heads, Grateful Dead!
And countless others......Boy, this is sending me down memory lane.....
-
Elton John I think Barbe and I were at the same concert. He He
-
Were we mum?? My son was about a year old and he is turning 30 in March, but I think the concert was in 1984.....
-
I was carrying my second child at the time she was born in 84. At the maple leaf gardens. The concert that is.
-
Barbe, you have me really confused. The concert was in 1984, your son was a year old, bornin "1983?" but hes turning 30 in 2011?
It must be Northern Math?
-
I think we were the only ones not smoking the stinky stuff at that concert.
-
Okay ladies fess up how many od you were stinky stuff partakers?
-
Good thing if you were carrying your DD.
I had DS #1 in 1984. That was a good year.
-
I inhaled.
-
Never have, always wanted to try. Now I use Xanax.
-
Tried it once.......it gave me such a bad headache I never bothered with it again.
-
Thats funny chrissy I had same reaction in highschool also I never even smoked so did not apeal to me.
-
Muma, I was in my twenties when I tried it so I didn't even have the youth excuse!
-
Meece, you're right! My DD was born in '83, my DS in '81, so the concert must have been in '82....
I smoked the stinky stuff and still do if it's offered. My brother lives in Vancouver and the BC Gold is a bit too strong for me. Find myself "coming back into the room" hearing myself laughing hysterically. Too strong! I like a light buzz to take the edge off.
-
My daughter laughed so hard when she heard that I called it the stinky stuff.
-
My first concert was STYX, and there was no way you couldn't inhale something at that concert!! I find it strange that people still light up at concerts even though the venues are No Smoking!! I was shocked 2 years ago when the guy in front of us lit up at a concert and there was a family with 2 kids beside us!!
I can't believe that I finally got caught up on this thread.... took a hiatus in the summer and had to work over a month to get to today!! Apparently I missed 2 great parties (anniversary and 200 pages!) You guys are still great and can still get me laughing that my kids think something is wrong with me!!! Thanks for that!!
Pauding - been keeping you in my prayers - you ROCK girl!! Meece - hope your son is doing better!
LOVE all the pics - wish I could find the time to post some, but it takes me so long to catch up on the threads after a few days that I will never be able to figure out HOW to post a pic!!
