Amen Ronnie---I did not know all those things about our beloved Penny Redwolf, and you shared it so beautifully.
-
thank you for sharing, is she gone or still in hospice? We can pray for a miracle!
-
Jerseygirl, thank you for asking. Wonderful "Redwolf" Penny Reed Knowles died yesterday evening June 9, 2015. She was 46. Her daughter posted on her facebook page. We can unite to pray for Penny's husband, children and family and for Penny's happiness in her new eternal life. God's time is not like our time. No prayer is ever too late.

This is a picture by the artist Jean Keaton who does drawings of Jesus.
Penny loved this picture. She said the young woman reminded her of herself and that her hair was just like that when she was well.
Rest in Peace Penny. Today you are in the arms of Jesus.
-
Rest in peace, Penny. Though I have only been on the boards a short time, you were an inspiration to me.
"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand." Father Michael Joncas
-
eternal rest dear Penny in Jesus's arm, your suffering is over". Watch over your family now

I just went to Penny's Facebook page and my cousin is her friend, I will try to go to Mass because it is in the next town from me. Very small world....
-
-
For Penny:
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
-
Amen. Feline...I just scrolled down & gasped when I saw the picture of Jesus & Penny...that was truly my first thought...it's Penny! I love the story behind it...thank you for sharing it...I misses it before :-). I just met a woman in our apts that I've never met before. I always see her faithfully walking her daschund. She lost her husband 3 months ago to a stroke. She said she'd be lost without "Penny"....her dog :-).
Jerseygirl...I'm amazed at how small our world is. I hope you get to hear lots of Penny stories...Facebook is filled with love for her. Even though we are so far away from each other, I feel we are all so connected...by our disease, yes, but by our will to live, our thanks for support...and for many of us, the knowledge that there is our God & He will guide us to where we need to be. Penny is there...rejoicing!!!
-
I did not know Penny but I read her biography and I was moved to tears by her amazing faith and unwavering optimism throughout her battle with this beastly disease. I am happy for her that she is finally in the arms of Jesus and has found eternal peace and happiness. I pray that I will be just as brave and strong in faith when my time comes.
-
FelingFeline- So sad to lose our dear Penny (Redwolf). I was away from the site for a couple of days and wanted to check on her. May God rest her soul and she join him in heaven . I am still praying the Novena because she started me w/them. I pray they find a cure for this horrible disease really soon and stop the suffering. RIP Penny.

Lit a candle at Mass this morning for Penny and all our BC sisters.
-
Thanks Elaine
-
just found out penny's funeral is tomorrow in Atlantic city NJ. It is at 10:00 am. Est so if we want to pray then, I think it would be a good time to engage in prayer during that hour. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Michaels Rc church . I am sure Penny will be looking down on all of her cancer prayer warriors. If anyone wants additional info, please let me know.

Thanks for the info, Maryann! I hope that Penny's family and friends find the service to be comforting.
-
Thanks Maryann.
Beautiful picture of Penny on her obituary. May God bless her and may he grant consolation to her loved ones.
-
it was a lovely photo, I got a call from a friend yesterday all upset because her DIL s sister was just diagnosed with stage 4 BC advanced to bones and she is only 35. I have no idea of religion, but her name is Valerie , so if you can extend a few prayers, God knows who I am talking about. Thank you all...
-
hello ladies I am on my way in for my 4th treatment of tchp..my last 2 treatments I have had a slight reaction to the taxotere with itchy throat. My MO has warned me if my reactions get worse I will have to change my regimen. I do not want this to happen my regimen I currently have has the best cute rate for my type of cancer. I know it is in God's hands and everything happens for a reason. You seem like a wonderful group of ladies if you could please say a little pray for me this morning I would truly appreciate it!!
-
Jerseygirl -- Many prayers for Valerie! Many ladies here on BCO have successfully managed to live well with bone mets --- hopefully, Valerie will, too.
Stephmoen -- hope your 4th treatment goes better than your last two. I will add you to my prayer list.
-
Jerseygirl -- Always sorry to hear of another woman dealing with BC. Prayers for Valerie.
Stephmoen -- prayers for your successful treatment. You have a lot on your plate dealing with your treatment and the needs of a young family too. Try to take up any offers of help you get and make things as easy for yourself as possible.
-
Stephmoen - what do you mean by Taxotere causing an itchy throat? Does it happen during the infusion or afterwards?
Elaine - thank you!
I was so distressed to hear of Penny's passing. I only "talked" to her here once or twice but she seemed to understand me. She and I shared a similar diagnosis and some similar experiences. I was really bothered for days by the news of her passing and it put me into a funk.
Anyway, I spent time praying at Mass today for all of us dealing with this. Much love to all!
-
only during infusion I've had a tickle in my throat the first time I was flushed and my chest turned red It gets better once they stop and give me Benadryl and I can finish the treatment if it's run slowly but if the reactions get worse and cause any shortness of breath I will have to stop taxotere and go to taxol
-
Good luck, Steph! Hopefully the Benedryl will do the trick.
-
Macy, TOTALLY understand your distress at Penny's death. It seems beyond unbelievable that we will not be hearing from her here again. I have to remind myself that she is not gone. It is only to our eyes here in this life that death seems that way. On the other side those who have gone ahead of us know the truth. There is no death, only life everlasting and love.
