My you ladies are up early
-
Barbe. Today's my BIG day. They're expecting 2000 to attend this reading festival.
I'm the author/illustrator/music lady entertainment.
I do put up pictures on my blog as often as possible.
It's a challenge to 'entertain' and get good photographs too, but I attempt to do both.
CHILDREN are my escape. I love to watch them. I love to tap into their energy.
-
Oh Checkum, may I escape to that little cabin to enjoy my tea on the porch this morning. Now THAT is paradise to me.
-
Happy Day Escapees.
-
I agree, that cottage is perfect! I know you like a new pic on each page, but I am pic-handicapped.
Faith, get a nap to store some energy, you're up way too early!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Handipicapped?
-
Sharon - the tea is on, I am waiting for you girlfirend. Barb, put on your flip-flops and stop on by.
Too bad faith is too busy to come over and play some nice music for us... Faith have a great day doing the stuff that makes you YOU
-
Good morning Escapees. Could ya save me a spot in that little cabin for later? I've got things to do this morning, but would love to sit and chat with ya'll later on. Hope you all are having a great weekend so far:) ((((((((((big hugs)))))))))
-
Jo!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna go!!! Where is that?? Looks soooooo relaxing
-
-
OK - Jo I am heading over too --- that looks like the perfect spot.
Coonie - of course we will wait for you to kick back on the porch today .... I am heading out to get some cow turds for the garden...
-
-
ROTFL....hehe oh my goodness Jo!! That pic is soooooo gross but funny:)
Uummm is there a way to get to your place on a boat or something. We've traveled before and Sharon doesn't like to fly
We had to use this on one of our trips.....
Well, I couldn't find #32, so I guess we'll have to use #9. Sharon, is #32 at your house?
-
Morning Escapees.......
I am headed to Waltham to the 3day expo today...but, I would rather be sailin
-
Good morning Escapees.
Ah yes, our beloved #32. Coonie, I hate to tell you this..........
I was so broken up about it I couldn't tell you hahahahaha
What's the 3 day expo about Checkum. Sounds like fun no? But ya, it would be hard to beat a day in that sail boat.
Hugs all.
I gotta go see if I can raise #32 before Coonie reads this.
-
It is where I find out how to walk 60 miles in 3 days without dropping dead LOL
-
pic for you, Sharon,.... have a wonderful day!!!
-
Lovely pic Checkum, thanks. It would be nice to be sitting beside that dog.
This expo thingy, is it for fun? Or training for your walk??
-
Sharon, sounds like #32 is a lot more broken up than you are! hehehehehe
Checkum, good for you. I can walk for about, and I mean about 1/2 hour then I need my cane!
-
Jo. I want the hammock on the porch. I won't even take up a bedroom. I'm well behaved and will regale you with stories from the road.
Checkum. When is your three day? How much time do you have to get yourself prepared. I have a BCO friend who did the three day up in MI last fall. She's still 'high' from all the goodwill and sisterhood generated.
Barbe, Sharon, Coonie.......... after today's event I'm escaping back to my house where I intend to do absolutely nothing for hours on end. LOL.
I'm sure there are other escapees to send a shout out, but my swiss cheese faculties are thin.
Hugs and happy escapes to one and all.

Hi Escapees-----
My 3Day is the first one in Boston - July 24th - 27th. I went to the expo today where they talked about what it will be like, what to pack, proper shoe fitting. Got some new sneaks, socks and nice shorts for walking... I am SOOOOOOOOO PSYCHED. There is also a tent decorating contest (all the tents are Pink... sooooooooooo I was doing some thinking on the way home. I thought that I want to do something that includes all of my sista's here these were some of the thoughts....
1 - everybody could pick up a pink bandana and then write their name on it and some
thoughts (even thoughts about those they want to remember ie. AlaskaDeb - etc.)
I can tie these to the tent ropes/or top cross polls...
2 - Similar idea with a pink flip/flop and I will circle them all around my tent...
3 - A pretty (60'sish) flower - remember flower power --- with whatever people want to write on
them...
We just need to figure something out and then get them to me.... now that I am thinking about it - nix the flipflops --- too much to lug... I am open for ideas. they showed this tent that somebody actually had a frog cover over and then flower pots around it.. what a hoot...
Now Faith, this is definitely your gig------ HELP!
I know that this weekend is going to be an "emotional" but rewarding weekend for sure.... I am glad I went today - it got me really excited and motivated.
-
on the bandana idea---- it could also show your Local (Canada, Kansas, Pennsylvania...etc.)
I might not have a team (but I will have one in "spirit" Checkum's Foob Fighters
-
-
or --- hearts with everybodies name. & whatever.... ?
-
wooohooooo
c h e c k u m ' s f o o b f i g h t e r s ! !
Checkum, this sounds soooo wonderful. My brain is ticking trying to think of something. Do you have a website or any ideas we can looks for ideas. I would love to be there to cheer you on. I could ride behind you on my 4-wheeler and throw water on you, and carry food and drink
lol....it's so special that you're doing this. I'm gonna tell my DD, she's young and talented, maybe she can come up with something. Girl, I'm getting psyched too and I ain't even doing nothin
Thanks Checkum!!!!!!!!!!! ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))
-
Hey Sharon........no problem finding #32. You didn't sink it......you had it stored in your garage, remember? Well, I've got it back in the water, and we need to head out soon.
Jo--do you think this would make it to your place? hehe I know it might look a little embarassing, but that #32 will MOVE on!! The more people we have paddling the faster we can go, so we need to recruit some more paddlers!
OK......EVERYBODY's welcome to come along. No experienced needed as a paddler. What you do, you just put your feet down in a hole that goes to the water and paddle like crazy....yeah, pretty much like a duck:)...........it'll be fun. I'll be ahead in the motorboat making sure ya'll are making it ok
-
Checkum - Great ideas! You rock, GF!! If we did bandanas, they would be easy to mail to you and easy for you to bring with you. We could decorate them or put messages on them, something like that. Who else has ideas? I agree, this seems like it would be right up Faiths alley!
-
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowowowowowowowowowowow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i seriously want "US" to win!!!!!!
i love the bandana idea..... that would seriously be simple and add a lot of flair/easy
you remember my pink-boa idea...... i have a couple of those that i could easily donate to the cause -- the bandanas could be tied onto those.........
i'm sooooooooooooooooo excited that you're soooooooooooooooooooo excited.
-
Good Morning Escapees...
So far, 2 votes bandanas. And... Boas
Coonie --- I would expect a cute little racoon face on yours!
