Thanks all,
I do think they are pretty "Grand" children myself
) It's always so much fun to spend Halloween down there. They are sweet souls also that's always nice.
Hope everyone has a blest week,
-
Oo lots of good things happening... beautiful grandchildren, great that you have had time with them. I love that my children are close w/their grandparents. Sometimes they just stop by Grandma's to say hi (although I expect the fact that she always serves a tea with goodies and great conversation helps)
Mum, your daughter is lovely, really see the family likeness.
-
Elaine, how IS your mom doing? She was having a hard time at the beginning of summer and I haven't seen an update. I hope she is back to her game.
Mum, you mentioned that you are eligible to get the H1N1 shot. I'm not and wondered why you are. I work with the public and Sunday a lady came shopping because her husband is quarantined! Yesterday I was so ill I had to give my client over to someone else (bye, bye $200) and have my DH come down (one hour) by cab to pick me up and drive me home! I was surprised by how quick I felt ill. My customer saw it, the sweat pouring down my face and my blouse got soaked. She said the H1N1 comes on really fast like that. I said how did she know. She said her son and grandaughter both have it! Sheesh can people STAY HOME please when they have sick familly members!
-
Mom is doing very well, thanks for asking. All biopsies came back negative (doc was positive each time that there was something) and things are healing well...it just took a lot longer than she (& the docs) would have like.
-
Great to hear! Thanks...
-
Barbe I have cronic asthma that makes us higher risk. But you are right anyone who works in retail should try and get it. My son who also has asthma went to his family doc last week for his check up was quite suprised to get both flu shots the same day.So check with your family doctor.
-
I did check with my family doc last week and the nurse said they are giving it to only those over 65. I said "Oh, the working class!" And she said No,,,,oh I see what you mean.....
-
My doc said since i am over 65, I fall into the last category even tho I am "at risk"
so I will have to wait...
Love photos of grandkids playing sports, I coached Little League for 13 years (before lady coaches
were in vogue), refereed soccer for 20 years and taught swimming for 40 years...all volunteer
of course...I probably should have majored in PE..but I digress...I really, really believe it is important that both boys and girls have some experience with a team sport...it helps them the rest of their lives...
and they look sooo cute in their uniforms...

SoCalLisa
I agree wholeheartedly ! I think sports are great for kids. I'll bet you were a fabulous coach/referee
