Our Escape

Hey Arnie, let me know when you are feeling better, maybe we can meet halfway in PortHuron!!!
-
I'm coming to MI to present one of my workshops on Dec. 1st. Will drive up the day before. Let's all get together...... I'd love that.
I usually give the head's up on the MI thread & a bunch of us have met for lunch in the past.
Arnie. The wedding is now just a few weeks away: Sun, Oct 4th. So while our Nebraska-gal is walking for the cure...... we'll be walking to the gazebo.
I think I have in fact decided what to wear, but that's kind of a wack-doodle story, that I'll tell ya when I have time.
Today's been a red-letter, bittersweet day. We sold our boat. We decided that we are not "boating" people. So after 3 summers of fun, we waved farewell.
We just got back from putting the motorcycle into it's winter storage -- till next summer.
I can't believe I get choked up about a motorcycle being parked. LOL.
Thank heavens WB & the babeez await at the other end. With Saint's stop over in the middle!!
Out to dinner now.
Happy escape.
-
Happy joyful time of friendship and love with Saint.
-
We sold our 39' power boat when it got to $750 to fill the gas tank!
We sold our motorcycles to get stainless steel appliances years ago...sigh.
-

Our Escape with the two youngest Grandsons to the Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha
-
How cute!
-
Great pic!
-
Hey girls...
These just have to be the cutest baby pics I have seen ....
-
checkum,
you are so right ! those teeny newborns are adorable ! The photographer is from our area. I'll have to tell our kids about her, we have two expecting next year.
I have to tell you why my hand is in such a freaky position in the pic above at the zoo, Grandpa had been in the pic with the boys and the kids wanted me in it. well when I walked up to the gorilla Carter thought I was coming to get him off and started to fuss when I didn't. So I was poking him to tickle so he would cry in the picture.
Everyone have a great week-end, we will be leaving for Chicago later this afternoon.
Blessings all around, peaceful week-end thoughts to you also
Paula

-
Hi all, had a great time at my grand nieces first birthday party, also got to see my other grand nieces and nephews, my boys tell me a long time before I get grand kids so my sister shares hers!! Hope to post some pictures later. The weather here in michigan continues to be great but a little rain would be nice! Picked apples, pears, and a few plums this week. The tomaotoes are starting to ripen finally so hope to can some salsa mid week.
Arnie will be in GreekTown Wednsday a girlfriend and fellow BC survivor wants to go for her birthday so 7 or 8 of us are taking a bus tour down, will probably get on the People Mover and go to the Ren Center too. Hope all are having a good weekend.
-
Hi all.... hoping to get out on the bike for a ride today with DH... wooohooo that might lift the spirits. Sounds like everybody is having a good weekend. Thanks for all the good wishes and support!
-
Morning all.
Aye Aye Captain Checkum. Enjoy the ride.
-
Have fun, Checkum. Those are my plans for today too. It poured all day yesterday so we didn't get to go out. I know it puts me in a good mood and hope it does the same for you!
-
Checkum
I love that photo
-
Checkum,
Are you out of your funk???
-
Checkum.
You're never gonna believe the picture I took for you.
Made my DH exceed the speed limit.
It was hilarious.
Must download.
Toooo funnnnny.

So we're driving across Indiana, on the freeway. Going the speed limit, well sorta.
I happen to look up when this white car goes zipping past.
I'm yelling & squaking at my hubby, "GO GET THAT CAR!!!"
Meanwhile, digging in my purse for my camera.
I don't think we had to go more than 75 miles per hour to catch this shot:
If you look closely you can see that the car is actually from OH and they are HOCKEY fans of our professional team: Columbus Blue Jackets.
So I guess there's more than one context for "CHK EM?"
Hope everyone has a great escape this week -- ya just never know what's gonna turn up next!!
