BAKED CINNAMON APPLES 4 baking apples (Rome, Beauty, Golden Delicious)
4-8 tbsp. granulated or packed brown sugar
4 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamonCore apples and pare 1 inch strip of skin from around middle of each apple or pare upper half of each to prevent splitting. Place apples upright in ungreased baking dish. Place 1-2 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon butter and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon in center of each apple. Pour water (1/4 inch deep) into baking dish.
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees until tender when pierced with fork, 30-40 minutes. (Time will vary with size and type of apples.) Spoon syrup in dish over apples several times during baking if desired. 4 servings.
I have some of those little dishes you put the apple in, it has a center post that you insert or press the apple on.

Sounds yummy. Make one for me!

Deb...Thank you for answering my help. I will make them tomorrow. I can cook but I don't really know how to bake, DD (one in NY) is a chef she used to make all kind of breads and pastry.
She used to cook and bake for us and I used to clean the kitchen after. She makes all fancy things. She worked for Westchester Country Club in NY for few years, anyway.
How is everybody today?
-
Must be nice to have a daughter that is a chef.
I had a nice weekend with out the kids. They are home now. They went clamming and broughtme home steamers. Tomorrow I will make some chowder or as we say in Bawston, Chowdah.
I hope you all had a nice day too.
-
kbuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug, where are you?
Not calling for Foots yet because its still early there.
-
Had a good day with the girls. Got them home a few hours ago. Been getting things done since have to leave at by 5:30 am to get scan. I am feeling pretty good about it. Get results on Thursday and also get my zometa. So hopefully I can get to bed before to late. I seldom sleep much before I go to appt's.
-
I know what you mean. I have antianxiety meds to take if I need them. Good luck with your scan. What kind are you having done? Try and get some sleep. I will be thinking of you.
-
Kbug.... Sending you big <HUGS> take them with you tomorrow
I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Sometimes I think going for tests, waiting fot the results is more draining than the chemo itself. Glad you have a good day today.
-
Thank you all. Huggssss . It is a pet scan.
-
I thought so. I hope it goes well for you. I have never had one.
-
I am believing it is better. Shrinkage would be good.
-
Had bone scan, muga scan, cat scan of this that, but never a pet scan. Maybe I did ????
-
When was your last pet scan? Does it shrink? Do you have measurements from the last time? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I'm curious. I always think I should be having more tests done when I hear others are.
-
Last scan about three months ago. I had a new tumor on lung and some of lung mets grew . One liver met grew lil. A few more bone mets. But God is so in charge I stand on his word and he does not lie. Over the past four years some shrink a lil then grow . But bc is not of God so it needs to leave us all alone.
-
I'm happy to hear they shrink. I will pray that they shrink for you. Yes, I wish it would leave you alone, I wish it would leave all of us alone. Best of luck tomorrow.
-
I am praying and going with a okay mind set.
-
That's all you can do. Please let us know how it goes for you. I know you don't get the results til the end of the week, so we will be here to help you pass the time.
-
Yes we will play and chat away
-
Sounds good to me.
