Oh - don't mention OCF. I think I've eaten enough in the last week to last me all year!
You could take Metro North to New Haven and then take Amtrak north....
UConn lost to Oklahoma - no surprise, I guess.
Good night, ladies.
-
Spinach dip and sour dough bread for a snack tonight. Got to get rid of all these leftovers and we won't be throwing anything away.

I have leftover tenderloin and polenta, which I will make into polenta squares (grilled) and serve with marinara later.
This morning, we are serving Ebelskever's....yum!
-
Yes I take that too Diane.
I googled it
-
What fruit did you put inside the Ebelskiver's?
-
DD just emailed me, she will not be home until almost 10 o'clock tonight. I thought it was earlier.
She is posting on FB all her pictures. She is in Indiana Jones country.
-
Deb...Is she here yet?
You have a wonderful mother daughter day♥♥
-
Not until 10 tonight.
She is posting pics right now on FB. I shared them so you all can see them.
-
I put nutella in one kind of the ebelskever's and blueberry in the other...
-
I feel like I'm from another planet. You ladies make food I've never heard of...Ebelskever's?
-
omg - I am just drowning in laundry. Must....iron....
-
Chris - the Seattle area food is very much influenced by other ethnic groups. My friends from Boston and Maine seem to think finding "normal" food is impossible - i.e. burgers/fries/steak/potatoes. They feel they are visiting another planet. Ebelskivers are pancake balls, sort of, filled with things like fruit, etc. Super yummy with Norwegian origins. Some of my friends have never tried anything other than offerings one might find in Chinatown. I am still not allowed to have any apparently as the fine ladies of TOL have not authorized another mention or opportunity.
Took down the tree last night - needles everywhere - why oh why can't I succumb to a fake one?
-
Because you like the smell of a real one? We have a fake tree - 18 years old - and we get faux needles everywhere. Prob not as much as a real tree. We had a real tree most of the years I was growing up. My hands used to itch something awful when I'd take the ornaments off.
-
You could probably have some OCF as long as you don't talk about it.
First rule of OCF club - don't talk about OCF club.
-
shhhhh...my dh said he wanted ocf for supper...
-
I WANT SOME OCF and I think we are going to go have some for dinner tonight! Hell, all I have done is cook for weeks!!
As for the fake tree, my FIL is from Maine and he says he is not flying out here to sit around some plastic. My DIL is a pseudo tree-hugger who happens to think harvesting Christmas trees is better than the alternative. My H prefers the idea of a fake but will wait until his dad is no longer here.
-
LOL - sitting around some plastic - I never thought of it that way. I don't like the idea of killing so many trees for Christmas - but if they are made into mulch afterward, I suppose that is ecological. Having a bunch of plastic trees in a landfill certainly isn't a green choice. But we've had our tree for 18 years and it still has enough faux needles that we can keep it longer. I feel as though I'm recycling. And I really like our tree. I will be bummed when it starts looking bad. I haven't seen any fake trees that I like as much as ours. Not that I've been looking, but on the rare occasion I am where fake trees are sold, I haven't seen any that I wouldn't mind replacing my tree with.
