DH says I'm more of a Strawberry Shortcake.
-
Oh Deb you brought back memories. I wonder if I saved any.
I have some of their Barbie Dolls
-
Deb, I don't remeber having blue stuff injected in my tata. I think they injected it into my lymph nodes. Is that the same stuff.
You would hate my pool, it's above ground and filled with boys....always!
-
Is that the test day before lumpectomy and SNB?
-
It was the tracer dye. Before surgery they injected it in about 5 areas I guess it goes to the hot spots and they have a little thing like a Geiger counter and it would signal where the tumor and the sentinel node is.
-
ITs kinda cold here
-
Yes, I had that with my SNB.
It's cold here too!
-
35 here
-
Sometimes it feels like dream all the tests, waiting, results, chemo more blood,
OMG I spent the first year in DR' offices or in Scans somebody always with a needle.
Do you feel the same way like you lost a year or more from your life.
I'm glad i kept a journal 5 years ago I was having my 5th radiation.
I don't know why I'm writing all these now.
-
31 here. Must be warmer up north. LOL!
I'm listening, Sheila. Keep talking.
I finished rads 2 years ago. YAY!!
-
It's 38 here but it feels much cooler or maybe we are not getting enough heat.
I made myself a cup of tea.
-
have a cuppatea. Sounds warm!!
-
I just turned my elec blanket on high, hitting the hay soon. Nighters all.
-
You know today, at the rad onc, I heard that the highest rate of breast cancer is WA, MA, AK....he said the further from the equator, the higher the rate. I was screwed no matter what having grown up in MA, done work in AK, and lived in WA. In Iceland, the rate is 25%, so that sort of validates the theory regarding vitamin D.
Today was 41, warm for December in Seattle. I felt nauseous, so I drove with the top down. And all those people who stared at me????? Well, eff you. Whatever makes me feel better. I gotta say though that the DD was a little chlly.
Makraz - we all like boys, but we can find something else
-
RCG, do you take vitamin D? i DO......Alot. I'm hoping it lowers my recurrence rate.
I'm with Deb, electric blanket is on, good night all!
-
I dont need an electric one but I sure need a blanket.
Good Night
Peace
♥

Man, once again you ladies have posted so much it takes a lto of time to catch up. The blue dye was injected into the tumor and followed to the lymph nodes. The first nodes to uptake the dye would be the sentinel node(s). My bluing breast only lasted a couple weeks, and the blue pee, only a couple days.
RCG, DH and I rented a convertible in Hawaii, and one evening it was raining and we put the top down (we were on the highway) I am sure we got some looks, but hey, we were tourists!
A few years ago I convinced DH to get an electric blanket with dual controls. We found one at a discount linen shop. The first night was heaven, DH kept his off and I was toasty. The second night, DH turned his to low. When we woke up, he couldn't get his to shut off, the rocker switch wouldn't rock. I figured I would mess with it when I got ready for work. I got out of the shower and came into the bedroom to find smoke billowing from the control box. Needless to say DH took it back. The clerk wanted to know if he wanted to exchange it. No thank you. I keep extra quilts on my side of the bed, and DH sleeps fine under one.
Deb, I think Strawberry Shortcake fits you well. Although bonnets aren't in fashion now.
-
How's this, LOL♥
-
I say, I say .......Nope!
You are definitely too feminine to be Yosemite Sam!
-
I like the new pic, Deb!
Good morning all!
-
Is that one of the "Littles", Deb?
Looks familiar
-
It's a redheaded fairy with attitude. LOL
-
Good Morning from NY.
Im still doing my morning ritual
-
Then that should be your new avatar. I think it's perfect.
-
Kids are here, please pass the valium.
-
You should have a vodka valium latte:)
I take 2000 vitamin D daily and 1500 calcium. I know you take a huge dose and I am considering upping mine as well. They are doing a Vit D check next week for me first.
Blondie - you should come too, can you pick up Sheila? I will rent a house or something for a few days! I have a good friend who will rent me his place on the cape if I want
-
Where does your friend live on the cape? My in laws and BIL live there, and my family has a house in Falmouth. I love the cape.
Your cocktail sounds perfect!
-

IT.s BRRRRRR kinda cold and windy.
