My mom’s stuffed peppers. She was a fabulous cook.
One mistake I made when I first started cooking was

almost burning down the house while using a wok for the first time.....it was one you put over a burner on the stove; I heated up the wok first, and when I poured the oil in, WHOOSH! A big flame shot up to the ceiling. I grabbed a bin of flour & through it on the flames to put out the fire, what a mess!
(Butterfly, my mom made great stuffed peppers too!)
A trick I use to fall asleep at night is....

I have some pumpkins out & the squirrels are sneaking out and nibbling on them (one at a time, they don't start on a new one until finished with the one they are munching on).

On Christmas Eve, we go to church in the afternoon & have the same group of friends every year over for a big turkey dinner & then we play games until late in the evening, Christmas Day we light a fire in the fireplace, eat leftovers & put a puzzle together.

My favorite New Year’s Eve was last year, walked down to the harbor to watch the gorgeous city fireworks show. Oh there have been many fun NYE’s, but that was most recent best, after two years of being stuck in the house with SEs.

I would love to learn to water paint!
I just reconnected again with a childhood friend after many years. It's as if was yesterday. I feel badly so much time has past, but, she's going through some medical challenges and I hope I'm providing support. My BC has really taught me to appreciate all of my good fortunes and not worry about trivialities.

Lefse, which is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread made with potatoes, flour, butter, and milk (or cream). You smear it with butter and then sprinkle it with sugar (or brown sugar), roll it up.......and yum!
