on a wonderful street full of children. A fence separated my backyard from a pasture with cows and horses. I visited my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago for my class reunion. The pasture now has houses.
My bedroom I grew up in........... -
When I was a little girl, my sister and I shared a room (up the stairs and to the right). One window overlooked the backyard and my dad's big garden, the other overlooked our elderly neighbor's house and if you looked down the street you could see the street light, where on summer evenings 'big kids' would gather on their bikes and visit and flirt with each other. The other neat thing about the room was there was a little door that led to a crawl space under the eaves. We put a crib mattress and lamp in there and, on rainy days, I would read and daydream in that cozy space.

Ann, which war? He really should write a book. A friend of mine's cousin, who served in Vietnam, just wrote a book for his family & friends. It is pretty cheap to self-publish, and he wanted them to know what had happened to him. It is an extremely interesting and moving read.
