I actually cannot think of one....I saw Super 8 at the IMAX, I think big disaster type movies are best seen on really huge screens but I have many reasons for not going to the cinema and have not regretted renting a movie for home viewing versus the theater.

For MD about 20 years ago, I took my mom to the Grand Ole Opry - she grew up listening to the show so my gift was a trip down there, 3 nights at the beautiful hotel and tickets for a live taping She loved it and I loved watching her love it!

(sandpiper.....that's exactly the exam I'm overdue on...glad I'm not the only slacker)
I've been to a few weddings over the years where the loving couple got divorced soon after.....however the one that takes the cake is...............

(this was back when people always used travel agents to book tickets) was a couple I knew who argued so much at the travel agent's office that she wouldn't sell them plane tickets for their honeymoon!!!! (The marriage lasted nine months.)
Another crazy ill-fated couple story is......

she left him on their honeymoon, went home and had the marriage annulled.
The best marriage I know of is....

a gal I met at the local college when I was taking a few courses.....for a year and a half we listened to her wedding plans....she, her friends and her mom were up to their eyeballs in details. She pulled it off...had the perfect wedding...however on the honeymoon discovered she had NOT married the man of her dreams. When she came home and announced she was filing for divorce, her mother threatened to kill her and made her go back and "work it out" - papers were filed 2 months post wedding date.
And yet another tale is.............

the groom did not show up at the big fancy wedding, and the father-of-the-bride was so mad he had a fit of rage in front of all the guests and put his foot right through the middle of the wedding cake!
Another wedding diaster is......

When the caterer (and best friend of the mother of the bride) forgot to make the wedding cake for her friend's daughter's wedding--got the dates mixed up. The bride had a tearful moment, got over it, then the father went to Alberson's market and bought a ready-made cake. The amazing thing to witness was the way the bride and her family worried more about the caterer friend and how she felt. Their example to all us guests was very impressive.
It was really hard, but I managed to forgive my best friend when she....

any penny candy. My friends and I stop at the little store across from our school everyday and spend our pennies on the great selection he had.
(update on short-lived maritial bliss: This week in Chicago.....A young woman was found stabbed to death in the bathtub of an apartment "still in her wedding dress"...seems hubby decided to kill her less than 24 hours after saying I DO....this qualifies as the quickest (and saddest) end)
