You can barely see the fourth little one, one layer up.
-
Meece. neat looking tree. You are in California? Looks like a coniferous tree.......what's it called? I wonder where the little kittens went?
Edit to add.........wow, what a great pic with the fourth one visible too.
-
It is a type of redwood tree that nurseries sell in abundance around here. Unfortunately, they require a lot of water and many people don't up the water the bigger the tree grows. I don't remember exactly which variety they are, we specified that we didn't want them in our yard.
I have no idea where the little ones went, or how they got that high in the tree together. I was trying to find homes for them, went back and they were gone.
-
Oh, Meece! Who do these precious kitties belong to?
-
Kak, I don't know. We have banks of mailboxes in our neighborhood, and I went to pick up my mail and heard pitiful mewing. I searched around and looked up into this tree next to the mailboxes and found them.
-
Just brought home a black kitty that looks just like the one in the photo. I have named him Shaman
-
This duck I saw is just so perfect..hard to believe he is real
-
Lisa - as soon as I saw your name I knew a beautiiful photograph was posted and I was right! Its funning you should add the comment about it being real because that was the first question I was going to ask you! He is breathtaking. God certainly knew what He was doing when He made all things.

I used to show poultry. That is a malie Mandarin Duck.
-
how do you post pictures? These are great and really I should be doing something around here but no energy...... may as will surf, ya know?- instructions please?
-
I go to Photobucket, and upload my pictures there. Copy the location and paste it here where it says insert image here, type in the dimentions and it seems to work for me.
If there is an easier way, I would like to know about it.
-
Congrats on Shaman, Merilee. Looking forward to seeing pix!
Lisa, that is one gorgeous bird! Wow. Things like that remind me of the remarkable surfeit of beauty in the world, despite all the crap & meanness & cancer. Something else to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Meece, we have a county fair here every year in the summer & there are lots of fancy foul in it. Particularly chickens. There are some unbelievable chickens at the fair. Very very chi-chi!! Of course, I'm partial to the baby piggies & to the little calves that the 4H kids raise. I don't know if I still have it, but I am going to look for a picture to post here of a coworker's niece at the fair one year, asleep on the hay with her calf nuzzled up against her. Total cuteness!!

We used to show goats, lambs, ducks, geese and chickens.
Somewhere I have pics of my boys in the "costumed poultry contest"
