Hanna how sweet of you to look this up and trying to help Olivia and her family
These prayers will come through and work...
-
Hanna, thank you so much for putting that info on here. I know Karen will see it and use it if needed. !
-
Ladies.. I LOVE how we all seem to post the same type of post almost at the same times... We are one close group of women!
-
Hello Sisters
I just call Karen/Moody to see if she had seen Hanna's post and she had not. I told her that she needs to read them because it could be what she needs. She had not been on her computer since this morning. She did say that Olivia's hormone levels were checked and they were all normal so have ruled out endocrine problem. No change in Olivia's condition. Thanks Hanna for the research you done for this family. Esteep, I loved the Psalm.
-
I thought if you did not have a pituitary gland it was an endocrine. But then, I really don't know much on any of this. I bet Karen and family are learning a lot.
I have a cousin who had similar symptoms as Olivia and she had crones..
Also.. a client of mine.. VERY similar symptoms and after two years.. finally DX with having Lyme's disease and is in treatment now.
Just two things I wanted to throw out there... Just in case doctors have not checked for those two.
Lots of caring and prayers Karen!

Karen. I spent the day today across the street from our own Children's Hospital & have been praying for your strength, sanity, and perseverance all day long.
The role of "suffering" in our lives has always perplexed me, but to see suffering in children is beyond understanding.
I am so sorry that you are going thru this hell-on-earth.
Know that you are continually being held up with prayers..... that's probably what's keeping your brain inside your head, right about now.
You'll have plenty of time to sort this all out with our Heavenly Father..... in the mean time continue to express every emotion that pops into your heart -- when you have the opportunity (privacy) to do so. Our Merciful Healer listens to our fervant prayers.
Thank you for posting the picture of our loving Olivia. It does indeed convey more than a thousand words. We are keeping your story in our hearts. We are asking for answers. We are praying for your continued strength in the face of what is heart-wrenching-beyond-words.
Know that you are never alone.

As FaithandFifty said "The role of "suffering" in our lives has always perplexed me"
It did me too. I was told, by my beautiful mother, as a young girl to offer up my pain and suffer to the Lord for someone else. To this day, I know the Lord does no cause any pain, but allows it to happen for a greater good. I, personally, will never know the answer why.
So.. to this day, whether right or wrong.. when I suffer in physical pain... I offer my pain to lessen another's. I have been in physical pain ( more that a normal tolerance) for three days now, and have taken this pain and offered it up to remove my mothers pain ( COPD) and Olivia's pain.
This might sound like a "youthful" way to think, and it might not be biblical at all, but I feel peace with living this way.
Thank you Faith for bring that up. I think we all have struggled with this subject.. especially when it is a child.
Karen and Olivia.... How are you doing ladies? How is the whole family Karen? You know we will not let up on the prayer here on BCO!

Olivia and family - every stitch I crochet I say a prayer for you all.
Beautifully put Laura. I also started a novena to St. Anthony for Olivia and family (He'll 'find' a way!) and I also understand the concept of offering up ones suffering. I am praying for Olivia and family and want them to feel the support of the angels

Sorry this is so big. Estepp, when I saw your kitty and his name...I had to post this. This is my almost 3 yr. Yorkie named OLIVER!! And this is my almost 18yr old daughter OLIVIA.
-
Sending prayers to Olivia and Karen.
-
Moody,
Thanks for the address, cards and love will be on their way. That picture of your daughter is just heartbreaking! I don't have any words to take away your suffering and I really wish I did. But I will do my best to get a smile on her lovely face with an outpouring of cards and love from here. You have been given some great leads on other places to look for help for sweet Olivia. She is going to become our poster child to help us all.
I can understand you wanting to take her pain away. As parents we all want to do that. I would much rather deal with my cancer than have anything hard put upon my children.
I actually have been reading and had questions the other night. I will go back and reread what I read and write down my quesions for you. I didn't want to burden you during this time and thought I would wait for your life to settle down before we moved on. Take Care! Give Olivia a kiss for me.

My3girls
Tessie is an almost 3 year old yorkie, a little less than 3 pounds, she saw Oliver's picture and wants his phone number.
