we talked the restaurant owner into calling us next time he came in and we got May to go in and get a look at him.  We were all sitting in the back watching him when leaf and toyful came in with the police record.  It looks like our Toney Minero has been picked up for indecent exposure and another case of rape so he is looking good for this.........

Toyful called the police to the twinkie restaurant, they questioned Tony right in the middle of his deep fried gooey treat and then they hauled him off to the jail! CASE CLOSED!

Back at CC Headquarters, a woman named Beatrice from New York City has called in to tell of some suspicious activity on the part of her husband. It seems that Beatrice is the Creative Director for the brand Neutrogena and is the only breadwinner in her family of husband and 2 children. Her husband, who is 20 years her senior at 65, has not been employed for 5 years. He is also in the advertising business and 65 is way over the hill in that business, according to Beatrice. However, that is the only industry he wants to work in, so every day for the last 5 years, he leaves the house at 9am to look for a job (allegedly) and returns home at 5pm. So this means Beatrice has a nanny taking her of her children because her husband insists on looking for a "job." It was recently pointed out to her by a longtime friend that perhaps he is up to something other than looking for a job.

Beatrice called us for an appointment.  We decided to come up with a game plan.  We have no choice but to follow him everyday for a while to see what he is up too.  The strange thing is he never takes any money with him so where is he going and how is he eating.  MissS said she would take the first day with toyful as her partner.  Spar and Leaf will take the second day.  We need to keep our camera with us for proof of what we find......

Miss S and toyful rent a Chevy truck to use for the day. They follow the suspect as he leaves his house that morning. He drives two counties away and stops at StarBucks. He goes in, pleases an order and sits down. After waiting 30 minutes for him to exit, Miss S and toyful decide a little latte sounds pretty good and go inside to place their own order.

Imagine the surprise when they see him sitting there with.....

...MissS's Aunt Linda, recently retired and habitually man-hungry.   Hmmm, this doesn't look good.  Well, there was nothing for it but to go over to their table, say hello, and hope Aunt Linda would introduce her "man friend" and explain how they knew each other.

But when they approached the table.......

Aunt Linda looked up in surprise and asked what they were doing there.  MissS said well, introduce us to your friend and we can all get to know each other better.  We just came in for a latte and saw you sitting here with your friend and thought we might visit some.  After all I haven't seen you in over a month.  It seems........

that you have been avoiding my calls." Aunt Linda seemed a bit alarmed, and stood up and quickly went to the restroom without saying anything. Now that toyful and Miss S were alone with the subject, they decided to ask a few questions. Toyful asked, "Do you ALWAYS get a latte?" Miss S gives toyful a look like "try to remember why we are here!" The husband says nothing. Miss S says, " I am going to go check on Aunt Linda." When MIss S gets to the bathroom, there is no one there, but there is a propped open window....

...and she thinks "Hey, there's no way dear Auntie could have escaped through the window.  She'd worry too much about tearing her expensive designer pantihose".  Miss S searched the two toilet stalls, left the bathroom, checked the storage closet in the hallway, even asked a fellow on his way to the men's room to check if a middle-aged lady (wearing designer pantihose, of course) might be hiding in there.  He poked his head in, looked around and gave the all-clear.

Frustrated, Miss S returned to the table and said to Toyful and Beatrice's husband "She's gone!".  The husband's face turned pale, and he stuttered "Oh oh oh, I've got to go after her".

Spar ask him why was it so important that he find Auntie, why doesn't he just stay here and have a latte with us and MissS would take care of find Auntie for us.  He kept saying but you don't understand I have to.........

Miss S said, "I'm sure. What is going on with Aunt Linda? Why on earth would she run away like that?"

The suspect looked pained, "There are some unsavory men who have been watching her."

Miss S said "Nothing unusal about that; men have been watching her (or I should say ogling her!) for most of her life".

Beatrice's husband said "Well, sure, but I don't mean that.  She actually thinks they hve dastardly intentions towards her.  Now, let's get going.  We have to find her."

Toyful said she'd take a quick look around the back of the restaurant, just to make sure Aunt Linda actually did flee through the bathroom window.  But when she got there, she found a bit of torn designer pantihose and......

came to the conclusion that she really did go through the window.  We each took a direction to look for her.  Linda found her at the back of the goodwill store and called the others on their cells to come there.  We sat on a used couch for sell in the back and decided that was the best place to have a talk.  Auntie said she had a gambling problem, betting on the horses through a bookie, she had won a huge amount of money and the unsavory characters after her want her money. Beatrice's husband is her closest friend and had been since grade school and he was trying to help her stay hidden and she was trying to help him find a job.  It was a mess and just didn't seem anyway...............

Meanwhile, she had been giving him money to keep him afloat because she was secretly in love with him.

So now he has 2 women supporting him--his wife and his cougar girlfriend! Toyful did not like the sound of that! She had followed the husband since he left Starbucks. His next stop was a small museum on the Upper East Side. Toyful followed him inside and when he sat down on a cushy bench to view some art, Toyful sat down next to him. She discussed the artwork that was in front of them with the husband. The husband said his name was Zoltan and he was originally from Hungary. Toyful asked if he was married and he said yes, and he had two young children. After more conversation, Zoltan, who seemed desperate to talk, revealed that he also had an older woman friend thta he spent alot of time with. Zoltan also said that the marriage was over between him and his wife, but he did not want to break up the family and leave her. He complained that his wife, Beatrice, was so busy with her job that she could not do fun things like museum hop. Toyful was getting good info but was growing increasingly disgusted with Zoltan's outlook on life.

Back at the Goodwill Store, Miss S was starting to feel some sympathy for her dear Auntie, but then remembered that she was a PROFESSIONAL and shouldn't let her emotions interfere with the job at hand.  She decided she should get Auntie and Beatrice's husband together and sort out what was the best thing to do  -- always remembering that Beatrice was the client.

She contacted Toyful on her cell and found out they were at the Museum -- so off they went, only to discover that....

Spar was wondering what to tell Beatrice.  If we tone it down we could get her to be less busy and give him more quality time but if we do our job correctly and type up the whole report he will probably lose his family and the kids will lose a day.  What a dilemma and what are we going to do.  I guess we owe the one who hires us the ..................

benefit of our vast (?!) experience and try some conflict resolution.  So Spar, Miss S  and Toyful sat down with Auntie Linda and Zoltan and suggested that Auntie leave Zoltan alone to start job hunting in earnest and that she should try Gamblers Anonymous and pay off her debts.

They agreed, on condition that Beatrice not be told of this little episode.  The ladies went back to their office and tried to decide just what they should tell Beatrice.  Hmmmm.....

We decided to tell the partial truth, that he was meeting an old friend which was helping him try to find a job, that she possibly had found him one at walmart.  that we talked to him and if it upsets you then he is willing to stay home and help with the housework and look for a job 2 to 3 days a week.  We typed it up, she paid us and case closed.

The First United Bank called and someone they think on the inside in skimming money and they need an investigation company to find out who it is and how to stop them.  It will have to be someone who knows code and how to break into secure sites and back track to find out what is happening.  They are willing to pay a lot of money, they will install some of us as new employees. So ladies what....................

Miss S piped up and suggested everyone needed at least two days off before getting started. "The beach in south Florida is calling me name," she stated.

We decided to take the job but we have closed so many cases in such a short time and after all we are all rich so I vote lets all get on a cruise ship and Florida will not know what hit them.  I plan of dancing and having a few drinks and keep an eye on MissS so she doesn't get carried away with the pole dancing and toyful, gotta make sure she doesn't fall off the table when she table dances.  Me, no telling what I will do except laugh my head off and have a good time and catch up on sleep, sand, sun, and water.  What about the rest of you girls?  Good food?  Wine?

Good food and wine sound like just the ticket!  And speaking of tickets, the gals from Case Closed were lucky enough to get vastly reduced tickets on a cruise leaving Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas for 4 days.

So off they went, packing their bathing suits (unfortunately, NOT bikinis) and sun tan lotion and boarded the ship.  But once on board, they discovered that their reputation as hotshot investigators had preceeded them.  The Captain approached Spar and told her that he suspected a stowaway was on board.  Could she and the team help find him?

Miss S spoke up and volunteered Harley and herself to be responsible for sneaking into the gally. "Why don't we divide the ship and each take a part?" she suggested.

Toyful looked at Linda and Linda looked at Spar.

She said "Look, this ship is 12 stories high.  We'll never be able to cover it all in time.  Let's contact the Purser and see if he can't rustle up some recruits to help us out."

Spar thought that was a valid idea, especially as she had also noticed that the purser was a hot-lookin' guy.  She said to the group......

So, while Miss S. and Harley were checking out the galley, Spar was checking out the purser.

"And what is your name, Sugar?" she asked boldly.

"Randy. I do like your style, " he joked back. "How about I help you check out some of the deserted areas of the ship?"

Randy and Spar mosied on down to a dark and deserted corner of the ship, where they stored some supplies.   They even found a soft cushion to lay on.  "My, My, aren't you beautiful...", Randy murmured.

Linda and Toyful spent some time in the bar recruiting helpers. They had lined up 10 willing and able folks and went to find Spar to give her the good news. Imagine their surprise when they finally located her and saw this...

we called a meeting and got about the business of doing a search professionally.  Spar had lost her mind for a few hours but hey, I am human and now I am back.  We assigned groups of 4 to and then assigned the groups each a floor, 1/2 to start on one end and the other 2 to start on the other end and meet in the middle. Spar decided to assign herself with Linda to keep out of trouble, I told MissS hey get your helmet you may fall off the top floor of this ship. LOL.  I kept telling her I was just joking but she also put on her pink life jacket just in case.  I shoulda known better than to tease..............
