Bette, my prayers continue to be with you.  I pray that your treatments are as pain free as possible and for success for you.  I'm so sorry you're having to go through this.  Please know that you are in my thoughts.

Corinne, I hope you get some good news soon!  I hate making decisions like that, and I'll pray you make the best one for you.

alibug, I'll bet it makes you feel great to be active in helping to fight the BC!  I'm looking for things to do in my area.  I missed the big SBK walk for a wedding, so looking for something else.  Love the extension idea!:)

    Have a great weekend,

Okay, I finally got the news. My left side looked good but.....something showed up on the right side. Could be cancer and perhaps may not be. In tears but trying hard to keep up my spirits.  Very small whatever that picked up radioactive activity. Too small to biopsy. Thank you for your prayers. Dr will call me again after talking with the radiologist.

    Hugs to all

Bette: I am so sorry you have to endure this struggle.  It is so darn unfair.  I am putting you on Pastor Hagee's Prayer Line today.  I can't imagine the pain you're going through. It quickly quiets me up to complain about mine. We love you & are always here for you! God has blessed you with a wonderful man.

Corrine: I've prayed for clean scans for you.  Let's continue to pray it is not anything. Remember the devil wants us to fear the worst and steal our joy.  Trust in our dear Lord.

Misty:  Yes I caught all the Pink gloves and hats on Monday Night Football. How awesome was that to see the players supporting our cause.

Deen: What a sight it must have been to see Pink Cowboys!  Alibug:  I love the Pink extentions! (I need some.)

My breast seems to act up when I'm off Xoleda. (2 wks on, 1 wk off). I hope I'm making progress. Next Wed. round 3 of Ixempra Chemo. Good news.  My DM found a man who sells Rattlesnakes nearby. He claims they have numerous healing properties.  I should be getting mine soon. Finally!

    Hi Everyone,

I am still exploring the mystery pains/ cramps in my abdomen. The pain seems to shift around and even go away at times. At other times it puts me in tears.

I've changed insurance and now the Blue Cross new doc is ordering a PET/CT full body scan for Monday. Now I'm getting anxious - no news was kinda nice. Guess this is a good test to have as ultrasound and a CT have shown nothing. But the pain has got to be coming from somewhere!

My thoughts and prayers are with you Bette, always. And I feel like a Jeannine cheerleader, you are so hanging in there, and I love your humor and attitude! Corrine, sure wish I had some colorful leaves to ride through with you - - guess I'll settle for desert plants. I'm thinking of you.

    Love to all,

    Gail

    Hey all you beautiful ladies!

My prayers are with all of you.  I've been putting off my Zometa tx for a month for dental work.  Think I better get back on track now.  Why can't this Beast leave us alone!!!!!

My PS gave my # to a woman who is just now dx'd and will be having a mx soon.  It was nice being able to help someone with my experience, and we're going to a support group together next Mon night.  So I've made a new friend, and it feels good.

Heard from my dr today. Yes, on a Saturday!!! It must be kind of serious. Anyhow, she did tell me that she went back and compared my previous x-rays and it is NOT on the ribs but on the chest wall on the right side. We don't know what it is yet. She also is scheduling another CT scan. I need to be patient but it is difficult. Anyhow, thank you for being here for me this time. I love you all

Bette ~  I'm just so sorry to hear that you're dealing with skull lesions now.  Are they absolutely sure they're from the bc?  I didn't know what lytic meant, so had to Google it, and see that they can also be due to infections, and are sometimes benign.  Is there any possibility they're not from the bc but something else?  And I so hope that you've been able to find something to help with those headaches.  That MRI must have been torture for you.

Jeannine ~  I wanted to tell you that I think Henry's carries frozen rattlesnake meat.   Don't know if frozen is as good as fresh, but my DH was talking to someone who gets it there to use in his chili recipe!  So, of course, I immediately thought of you!

Corinne ~  I'm going to believe that this thing they think they see on your chest wall is NOT related to your bc.  But I know the fear you must have right now, especially after your doctor's phone call.  Please let us know when your CatScan is scheduled so that we can direct our prayers and positive energy to you especially when you're having it.

Deen ~ That's wonderful that you're helping a newly-dx'd gal.  I'm sure that feels great to be able to be able to give her support and help her to see that there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Gail ~  I'm so glad that you were able to change insurance companies, although I'm surprised that Blue Cross didn't reject you due to the bc.  You'll have to tell me all about it whenever we can sit down and catch up.  Did you ever call my primary doc?

Well, it's back to surgery for me on Monday (10:00 CA time), and I have to admit that I'm starting to feel very  nervous about it.  I probably ought to dig out that guided imagery CD I was so keen on when I had my lump and my mast, but I'm wondering since I used it for those, if it might possibly bring back bad memories I'd rather forget?

Prayers for everyone's needs, and big hugs to all ~  Deanna

Deanna, my prayers will be with you on your surgery tomorrow and I hope everything comes out like you want it to.

Corinne, I'm praying for B9 results for you. I'm sorry about the waiting, it's got to be excruciating for you, may the Lord comfort you.

Bette and Jeaninne, hope your tx goes well this week.

Gail, I have BCBS and they have been pretty good to me, I hope you find an answer soon.

I too am relying on God to give me both. I have not arrived at this yet but am working on it!!

    Hey Everyone,

Corinne, I will be thinking good thoughts for you.  I am hoping this scare turns out to be nothing other than a test of nerves.  Please take care of yourself.

Deanna, is this surgery for your continued reconstruction?  I will be thinking of you at your time tomorrow.  Good luck!

Jeannine, hang in there as you continue treatment.

    Bette, how are you doing?

Gail, good luck on your scan.  I can't believe you have had to go this long with pain but have gotten no answers.

As for me, it has been another busy weekend.  I have been having a lot of "sensitivity" from my recon fix two weeks ago.  It is finally starting to go away.  I have had a hard time with anything touching my on my right side; today, that feeling is changing for the better.

Have a great week, girls.  I hope all who are experiencing challenges get over the hurdles soon.

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick but strong hug for everyone - it seems many of us are facing some scary treatments, tests and procedures this week. I will be thinking of all of you and visualizing health, joy and calm minds as we deal with next steps.

Much love to all, and I'll be thinking of you all and carrying your strength with me.

    Hello all,

I had a really great time at the 80's concert yesterday with an old best friend. (My pix are on Facebook.  Had too many beers though...)  The BF2's were great!

Gail: I can't believe you're still suffering from the abdominal pain. There has to be a reason. I pray for clean scans for you but I hope they can determine the source to your pain. Take care.

Deen: Why are you on going on Zometa? Is this for prevention? Yes it does feel great to help another bc sister in crisis. Good for you!

Corrine: It was so wonderful to speak with you on Friday. I know this is almost impossible, but please don't think the worst. Remember you have a great team of Dr's and you're a strong woman! I'm praying hard for you. Hope your visit with your family was great.

Thanks Deanna for the snake vendor tip. I've ordered from Fossil Farms and they are good. I'm trying to get it sundried though. Hopefuly soon. Prayers for a quick and successful surgery tomorrow!

Bette: Thinking and praying for you.

Misty:  I hope you're feeling better. Love your pix.

Going for blood work tomorrow. It's so hard to find a good vein!

    Prayers & Hugs,

    Jeannine

You won't believe this. I was able to have both my bone scan and my CT scan today!!! I was even able to talk to the radiologist. He was very nice. Both came out normal. It is not in my lungs or in my bones. I do have lots of bone pain. Remember last year when I started out the thought I could have bone cancer so I was happy to find out today that that spot was trauma such as a cracked rib.  I also found out that the PET scan is to be repeated in the future...about 3 months.  It could still be cancer or it could even be a lymph node.  I wonder if wearing a tight bra that squishes into you breast could cause it. Going to see my DR on Wed.

Deanna: Hope you are recovering well. Am praying for you today as always

Jeannine and Bette: I love you two and am so amazed by your strength. Jeannine I am going to google the rattlesnake thing. Where should I find it?

Hi, gals ~  Surgery (2.25 hrs) went great!   My only problem is that I'm a bit of a lightweight when it comes to anesthesia, so have a hard time coming around from it.  But I got released last night, was home by 9:00 p.m., and am actually feeling much better than I thought I would today.  I'm still a bit woozy/dizzy, but have only needed Tylenol for the pain.

Corinne ~  I'm thrilled about your news!

Misty ~  I love your newest avatar!  You look wonderful!

Luv to all, and thanks so much for the prayers and good wishes.  They kept me so calm yesterday, and I'm sure that's what helped everything go so well.     Deanna

    Hello!

Deanna: I'm so happy to hear that things went well. I want to call you but give you a few days to recover. I hope you're recuperating well. Yes we sure did pray for you!

Corrine: You see?  I told you it would be okay. Amen! I know we immediatley jump to conclusions given our Path but we need to remain faithful! Oh Google "Miracle Rattlesnake Cure" You should get the story of Phyllis (my mom's name) and her story plus additional resources. Still waiting for mine to come.

I just came from having lunch w/old friends I reconnected on Facebook from 1981! What a lunch. We all look the same and what memories. Having round #3 Ixempra tomorrow. Wish me luck. Not sure if I'm responding to this chemo but I'm keeping the faith..

Had a great day with my naturopathic dr. She told me that the bone pains that I experience are probably hormonal menapause pains. For my osteoporosis she told me to 1. Wear a weight belt when I walk of about 5 lbs. 2. Ride my horse at least 30 minutes 3 times a week and 3. lift weights.  Coool!!! Also heard from my onc today....going in tomorrow.  She is so sweet. Can't repeat the test for my PET until Jan. She said go ahead and do the implants.  Will not make a difference if I did have cancer come back or not. She now thinks that it is more likely that I do not have a reoccurence based on yesterdays tests.

Deanna: I am so happy you are doing well after surgery.  The worst day is over from it. Now on to recovery.

Jeannine: I am going to google it right now. I forgot to ask my naturopathic about it but I will be calling her in a couple of days for the name of the weight trainer.

Thank you all for praying.  Love and hugs

Corinne, great news! I'm thrilled with your normal results! And to also to hear riding 3 times a week is healthy - I'm headed for the barn!

Deanna, really thinking of you a lot - glad you are home and in such good shape!

Jeannine, glad to hear you are out at concerts and seeing good friends - that stuff is really important.

Misty, so glad your right side is feeling better. Bet you look great, too!

Please think good thoughts for me tomorrow - I get the results of my PET scan and am more nervous than I thought. Maybe there is some explanation there for the pains I've had for months. But I'd be happier if they find NOTHING.

    Hugs to everyone,

    Gail

Corinne, sounds like good news for you.

Jeannine, good luck with round 3-you are an amazing woman to do what you do!!

Gail, fingers crossed for positive results today.  Post when you can.

Gail ~  Thinking of you today, and praying that your PetScan is totally clear.  I know that won't solve the mystery, but I'm still wondering if Arimidex is at the root of your pain.  I'll be watching for your post.

Corinne ~  Wow, what a turnaround in mood from a few days ago!  Hooray for naturopathic docs and normal findings like menopausal changes!  And I think implants sound like a great choice for you, as I know what a very long haul recovery from Diep and the other flap surgeries can be.

Seeing my PS tomorrow for followup and rebandaging.  (((Hugs))) to all ~ Deanna

Misty your new picture looks great!!! I dyed my hair yesterday just a tad darker than medium blond in a natural color so as not to pick up all the red highlights......I am now a medium brunette. Ugh!!! I called my husband and told him he would not recognize me when he came home.....but....he did.  That was surprising!!!!!!!!!

Went to my onc today.  She is putting me in the phase 3 trial of neratinib when it opens in a couple of weeks. She told me that that spot on my pet, while it may be something, could be that I coughed on the last part of the test cause a piece of dust tickled my throat. We are repeating the test in Jan.

Deanna, so happy you are moving on.  Is this the second half of reconstruction???

Gail: Send a pic of your horse, horses.  I am going out right now to ride.

Bette: Praying for you!!! I know you are struggling right now with fevers. Happy you got your treatment though. One step closer to being done.

Jeannine: I did check out the rattlesnake thing.  Sounds interesting.  I am going to church tonight to pray for you all...

    Hugs

Bette, Jeannine, Corrine & all ~  A bc sister posted this today on another thread I'm on a lot, and I wanted to share it with you:

Psalm 91: 14-16 "Because she loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue her; I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name. She will call upon me, and I will answer her; I will be with her in trouble, I will deliver her and honor her. With long life I will satisfy her, and show her my salvation.

    Hello Sisters,

Just got the results of the PET/CT scan - NO EVIDENCE OF ANY MALIGNANCY! What a great report. I actually couldn't talk for a little while - I went up to the receptionist in the hospital and said "Read this! ", guess I got a little nuts since I sure expected the scan to show SOMETHING with the chronic pains I've had for so long.  Still doesn't solve the mystery, but makes me feel really good.

Thanks for the prayers and support!

    Hugs!!

Gail! Great news about the PET! WooHoo!

I have been in a lot of pain this week, learning to view life from a wheelchair because it hurts too much to walk. Also having frequent fevers.

Tomorrow is another long trip to VA. More chemo. Third dose of PARP inhibitor.

Continue to pray, my bosom bodies.

Gail, that is awsome!!!! I am so happy about your PET scan.  Your horse is beautiful.   What's its name?? The sitting trot is the best for weight bearing exercise. Did mine along with my 2.3mile walk. It was so beautiful today!!!

Bette: You hang in there. We are avidly praying for you. We serve a BIG GOD!! I do believe in GOD's power and NOTHING is TOO BIG for HIM!!!

Deanna: Your verses are EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME AND WRITING THEM DOWN,  I love you my bc sisters
