Viceroy, Very cute & beautiful color! -
Thanks for the compliments! One of the bonuses of having the buzz was that it took off the white tips. It's still pretty pale right near my face but it mostly looks like the same color that I had before chemo.
-
Bosum - right on. We have to stand up for ourselves. Stupid, effing, arrogant doc.
Glowcat - I took both Herceptin & Perjeta for HER2+. While the hair growth was slower, it never stopped growing during the year after I finished the "heavy" chemo drugs. What is the 3rd HER2+ drug?
Viceroy - love you hair AND your glasses.
-
viceroy you look great! I can't get my hair to lie flat on top. It's getting some length but it poofs straight up. Yours looks super
-
Viceroy, - beautiful color! and I, too, love the scarf and glasses!
-
Viceroy - you look so pretty
-
Viceroy: that was my color before BC also: one of my wigs ( a bob I wear under a hat) is that color now. You look gorgeous
-
Hope everyone is doing well. All those who are going through chemos, wish you all less side effects and good luck to recovering to the rest of us done with chemo. This is my 7 week pfc, I have tiny sprouts of hair, waiting eagerly for more growth. I will be done with my radiation next week. Yay !!
Did any of you take horsetail extract for hair growth? wanted to get some advice on that.
Thanks.
-
viceroy I love it!! Is that your natural color.? Very pretty. So 10 more weeks and I may need a trim and a color. Mine is half gray. Take Care!! Go Hair!!
-
Finished chemo last tues. Just noticed I have a lot of random longer white hairs growing through all of this. My head was shaved so they really grew during chemo. I look like a minion! Wonderif these will shed later or are here to stay

PMR - Thank you, it is my natural hair color. I did do a semi-permanent magenta color when it was shorter, but it faded pretty quickly.
Blueflowers - I didn't take horsetail but I have been taking biotin.
-
Puffin - you have so much hair! love it..looks so good!
-
Beautiful Puffin and it looks like a purposeful haircut!!!!

-
Chloes - I remember those little white sprouts that showed up. I likened myself to Little Cindy Lou Who! They don't really go away, but they do blend in a little, until you look at your hair from the top. First cut and they are gone!
-
Cindy Lou Who! Really made me laugh. They are growing by the minute. Look like crazy weeds in a bald lawn
-
I am almost 5 weeks PFC and see a small amount of hair growth. It sticks straight up. I am taking biotin but I think it's going to take a long time. I got a cute hat with human hair. It is cooler than my wig. Here is the link to the site I bought it from. The gal that makes them is very nice and matched my hair (when I had some) she has colors to chose from.

Does anyone know what i can use on these chemo curls since the warm humid weather has arrived? I flat ironed my hair before work and it looked ok. I took my walk over lunch and when i came back in and looked in the mirror, i was horrified. I tried to hide in my cubicle for the rest of the day.
-
I use a little mousse to keep the curls from becoming frizzy. My hair is still short so I'm not sure if it will help if your hair is longer
-
yes Bosum........I will never take my hair for granted ever again. My hubby tells me that God is getting back at me for always complaining about my hair before chemo. These curls are just wild
-
hi ladies. How long did it take for your eyebrows and lashes to come back fully? My hair is growing in thick like before but I probably have half the eyebrow density and lashes as before, and the lashes are less than half the length as before. I am 5 months post chemo and while I'm still on herceptin I don't think that's the culprit as my hair is doing fine. I just started tamoxifen last week so that can't be it either. Did this happen you as well? I guess I am worried they will stay this way
makes me look unhealthy unless I'm wearing makeu
-
windgirl - I know for a fact that Herception causes the growth of hair to slow down. Also there have been lots of posts about eyebrows & lashes being on a totally different cycle than hair on our head. I used Latisse so I'm not a good one to give you a time table, but I expect others will post.
-
thanks, I used latisse during chemo but stopped toward the end when they started falling out. Now I occasionally use it, maybe I should do it daily
-
My hair is growing crazy curly, but my eyebrows have never been good because of my diabetes. I have been using an eyebrow pencil even before chemo.
-
I'm having the same problem Windgirl. I'm about 20 weeks PFC and my hair is coming in very well, but my eyebrows are very sparse and they were already sparse before chemo. I still have to draw them in everyday or I look like an alien. And just recently, both lashes and brows have been falling out, but there seem to be hairs right behind them filling in. My eyelashes are weird - they are long but very straight and don't really hold a curl like they used to. I have been using Latisse on lashes and brows for months, but can't say I see a big difference.
-
Ok ladies, here's my wig less look, 3 months post treatmrnent. Brows and lashes coming back but not much on top yet. Love, Jean
-
You look MARVELOUS!!!!!!
-
With glasses that flatter like the ones you have on I can't really tell that the eyelashes and brows are thin. You look great
-
Jean you look PHENOMENAL
