Yikes, that's cold HunkyD!  It's 5pm and it's 59degrees here.  Today my man friend, came by and took me and Wolfie, out to a town called Geyserville, and we went to lunch.  I had a yummy salad with shrimp and scallops, and he gave me half his grilled prime rib sandwich.  I must have been drooling, or something. God it was good!  I've been trying to be a good girl, but that sandwich was so good.  Funny, when I was sick I couldn't eat, and now food is all I think about. One thing, I don't do is junk food, or anything like microwave food.  I work for a hotel/restaurant, and I've been spoiled for life****. As I've said, it a good thing I don't have to cook.

Hey, thanks for the hair complement.  My hair hasn't changed much, since I took that picture.

Well, it's time to take Wolfie out for a walk, or vise versa.

I can't sort out how to post pics on the board as a message other than changing the avatar.  Will one of you remind me in very easy to follow instructions?  Kelly

Kelly, nice shades.  When I enter photos I used photobucket as my server source.  You can join that for free.  Upload the photos into photobucket that you want to use here.  Then, after you have succesfully uploaded to photobucket, under each photo there will be a box that says share this image.  select the second option down that says direct link, and hit copy.  It will be a http: link for your photo.  Then, in this Post a reply box on bco...click the little tree icon above left of the emoticonSmile icon and it will say insert edit image.  Place your cursor in the box that says Image URL and hit paste (Cntrl V) and your http:/imgage link whatever the name will show up in there.  Then under the Alignment options in the same window I usually choose left.  Don't worry about the dimensions unless your photos are very high resolution and huge.  Then just hit insert and see what you see.  You might have to play around a bit with it but if it doesn't work...try again....none of us mind....we're not going anywhere.  I am sorry that I don't explain well.  It is just that you can't put a photo in a message here from your own hard drive like you can the avatars.  Has to be on a server somewhere or internet link to one.  Go for it...would love to see some pics.....XXOO HunkyD

sooooo many posts - love it!

ok LeggyJ, what exactly is a "man friend"? that sounds like a DATE to me! lol. just teasing. Wink

Yum, home brew and pizza. This is one lucky exchange student! dont worry Kelly, I'm sure those skills will come in handy for your daughter in about 15 years or so. hehe. Maybe it's easier to talk and work at the same time (ie: your hubby & daughter: ~ no eye contact which is soooo uncomfortable for most men)

Yummy, Karen the Mandarin! I grew up in Ontario and we loved going there!!! Chinese all you can eat. I'm drooling right now.  Maybe we should all make a pact to not talk about food so much.? Naw!

Well, I know spring is definitely here, the bald eagles are back! 3 of them. They appear in the skies, sitting on the fence posts, etc, for about 1 month each spring, before heading out to British Columbia. They are amazing! Magnificent! Majestic! .....huge.....fast......run little gopher, run.........oh no.  Cry

    ttyl8r gals, hugs to all.

I did it from photobucket just like you said HD. Of course I needed to have both windows open at the same time so i could keep reading your info, while going back and forth into photobucket to load pics. Wow. I feel so proud of myself.  Go for it Kelly! If I can do it, anyone can.  :)

BTW this is my mom's new kitty from the Spca.  isn't she lovely? her name is Cally.

I will try the photos later. Thanks for the instructions.

I am watching amazing race, it is my favorite show although I know I could not be on it.  Why?  I would be the mean teammate that everyone loves to hate.  I am not nice and helpful to my mate I am definately controlling and spiteful.  I am not proud of it but I do know my faults.  :(  I like to watch the nice teams though.  I like it when they have fun and enjoy everyplace they go, anyone remember a few years ago the gay guys that were crazy and fun all the time?   Kelly

    Hi Everyone,

Yes we got our floor done and baseboards, my husband and I worked very hard at it and now we look like a couple of cripples. My knees are so sore and sore muscles that I never knew existed, but I am really happy with the end result.  We will be starting the other bedroom next week and that means painting it first then the floor. I think the hardest part was ripping up the carpet and underlay, then all the staples you have to pull up and the small boards with all the nails in it around the room.  Not looking forward to it, but the only way to get it done I guess.  Hope everyone is well and has a good week.

    Take Care

I agree Leggy! mahvelous! ok, HunkyD, show us your gorgeous mug in a pic!

I am DAT but in a great way! I met some old friends for lunch in the city. We used to work altogether, but for various reasons only one of us is still at that company. I got sick, one got pregnant and now she's pregnant again, and another got another job.  We ate and laughed and complained.  I love doing that here, but in person the eating part is much better! ha! Than I spent a ton at Chapters and Starbucks, where I love my skinni lattes,  iced today becoz it's 15degrees Celsius and gorgeous outside! I love the time change with it still being so bright out even if my internal clock will take all week to adjust.

Kelly, I never watched the amazing race, but I love celebrity apprentice! Anyone watching that? Last nite was the first nite. My hubby hates Trump, thinks he's a.....maybe i shouldnt say that here. lol.

    ok, ttyl8r

Bonnie, your place must look fabulous! you will have to post a pic for sure.

ok, I can tell I've been revved up all day, and it's time to crash.  bye for now,

    hugs to all.

Went to Marry Poppins and it was great. My girls took care of me the whole trip. They did the driving, pick where we would eat and they paid for everything. I was along for the ride. We had fun. It is amazing what visual effects they can do on stage.

I ended up at the doc getting two liters fluid, Decadron, and anti nausea yesterday. I feel like a new woman today. I didn't realize I felt so bad until yesterday when I could hardly do my job.

Kelly how did the beer turn out.

Leggy I'm jealous of all your seafood.

Hunky brrrr cold. We are to get snow tomorrow. I'm ready for spring. Good luck with you touch ups. How do you feel otherwise? Do you look like a supper model with big round ones? LOL

    Think Spring

Wyoming..so sorry you had to go through that at the hospital .  Glad you enjoyed the time with your girls.\

Nice pictures Leggy and Chocolate, now I have to follow HunkyD's instructions and ;post a picture of my two babies.

Well we celebrated her birthday at the Mandarin, she brought a couple of friends and they had a contest of how many plates they could eat as it is a buffet.  I made it to 5 and felt like s#*t the next day but it was sooo fun.

Bonnie...we just did our floor with laminate....how do you like it??  I am loving it,  didnt realize how bad 20 year old floor looked.

HunkyD..hope things go well for you.

Kelly   i have never watched Lost,  I catch the sitcoms like 2 & 1/2 men,  Modern family, the two shows are so funny...have you watched them at all.   The other night I watched criminal minds for the first time and ended up watching 4 in a row....that is a pretty intense show.

well getting ready for bed...I am Dat as well.   Take care my Junies.   Karen

Hi ladies, just checking in on you-all.  This week, is weird for me. On March 17th, 08, I had my Core needle biopsy, and my birthday in the March 20th. I knew I was positive for BC, by the way the nurse and doctor talked to me, so it was tough celebrating my birthday.  Plus, my breast was black and blue, and hurt like hell.  They had to check two spots, so I was mutilated before my lumpectomy.  It's been two years...Is anyone else feeling this mix of emotions, it must be nearing all our diagnoses anniversaries?  Instead of celebrating my birthday, I celebrate the first day of spring.  Birthdays, usually are overrated, anyway.

    Hi Everybody,

Yes Karen, I am loving my new floors. I had always thought I only wanted carpet but now that I have 1 room done in the laminate, I wish I had started using it earlier as it is so clean and easy to take care of.  We are going to take a break for a little while before we start our bedroom.

I will have to try and post some pictures on here if I can also figure out how to do it.

Everyone take care, have to go (literally) lol

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!  My mother was born and raised in Waterford so we go all out on the celebrating in our house.  And although I don't make dinner every night I do have my corned beef and cabbage ready to go!  Yummy.

New floors, mixed emotions, dr visits, city lunches, puppies and kittys~ what an interesting group we are :)

Today I noticed a daffodil starting to bloom out front and we might reach 70 degrees.  I walked while the girls scootered to school and I am going out again to walk and enjoy it before the snow comes back on Friday.    Kelly

Happy St Patrick's day. I have my green on. When we remodeled our house we put in wood floors in all the main living areas. The only rooms with carpet are the downstairs family room and downstairs bedroom. I love having the wood it  is so much easier to keep clean.

Kelly I have daffodils  on my desk but not coming up from the ground. Spring must be in the air.

    Happy Hump day

    Happy St. Paddy's Day all!

We also have laminate floors, and I agree they are so much easier to keep clean.

Wyoming you need to take good care of yourself.  I know how easy it is to get busy and enjoying life, then get run down.  Get well before New York!

Karen, I love Modern Family! It is so funny! Even my husband makes sure to get home from work in time to watch it together.

Today the winds are blowing like crazy here. 60km's hr with gusts of 75 km's/hr. I think I'll walk inside on the treadmill, otherwise it might blow me all the way out to Saskatchewan. lol. And, rumor has it that we are going down to 0 in two days, so it looks like a movie rental weekend.

    take care all, Choc

Happy Late BD Leggy.  Glad you had a great day with your friend.  Nothing like getting your oil changed on your birthday...LOL!  Hope you did have a good book.  It was nice here yesterday.  Nice enough to go out with a light jacket.  We went to my sons house and were outside for a couple hours just soaking up some vitamin D.  Had a couple refreshements also.  Kelly, hope you found a walking partner.  I have just been doing 40 minutes a day on the treadmill.  Not dropped a pound.  Guess ya have to stop eating too.....LOL!  Hope all the rest of you are doing well.  Choc, is that your big dog in the avatar?  He looks like a big sweetie too!  Wyoming, hope you have a blast.  Take some pictures.  Hugs to ya all....HunkyD

I'm hoping BMF means Best Male Friend, if not let me know....  Went to see a good movie called The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  Wow, very intense, and not for the faint of heart, but it was really good.  Also, watched a DVD, called The Rain Shadow, with Rachel Ward, 2parts, and really good!  I was said that it was over, when it ended.  I wanted more!!!!  *****My movie theater, that showed art films, is losing it's least, to a big box office movie theater, so I'm bummed.  The building owners, wouldn't renew their least.  It sucks. But, I'm going to go every weekend, until August, when there expected to close.

    Love you-all,

    Leggy

I read the book (Girl with a Dragon Tattoo) but it was slow going and difficult to get into the characters so I am curious to see the movie.  Thanks Leggy for the reviews  :)

I still have not done the photo thing.  I am such a slacker.  Spent another day in the sun and am dreading the return of snow tomorrow  :(

Are any of you ladies on facebook?  My friend got me started and my boys even "friended" me.  So I get to peek at what they write and post.  It is kind of fun but I have to be careful what I reply to them.  A friend of mine told me she wrote something her son didn't like and he unfriended her so she can't see what he is up to anymore.  My father in law has turned out to be a big poster too.  What a surprise.    Kelly

    hi gals!

Leggy, I think you're right about BMF, but I was hoping "get your oil changed" was code for something naughty. hehe. Happy Belated birthday! Here's to many many more.

Yes, HunkyD, that's my baby (dog) Milo. He was such a big sweetheart, but passed last May.  This was his last boat ride the summer previous.  We are currently looking into rottweiler breeders here in Alberta becoz I need another furry kid to love up.  Actually I was looking for a more up to date photo of me, but I guess if the file size is too big, you cant load it for your avatar. oh well. Back to some old mug shot, I guess.

I've also been doing the treadmill everyday, (30 min) but those little choc. easter eggs are everywhere (and when i say everywhere, I mean in my sock drawer, my fridge, my tv cabinet, my purse.....my tummy!....LOL) I would love to go walking with you Kelly, especially when it's 60 degrees! Nice! I think it's only about an 8 hr drive to get to Denver.  I was thinking about you over the wkend. I saw that it was the Home Show in Denver and I wondered if you would go to get ideas for your front porch. ?

I LOVE facebook! All of my family is in Ontario, so this is how we share pics etc. Let's all join up! This is kind of weird, but I guess I never said my name here.  It's Michelle. aka Chocolate Lover. On facebook, it's Michelle Brown if you want to friend request me.

This morning I woke up to hear my robin chirping. I say "my robin" becoz he comes back every year and builds a nest for his family right under our deck for the last 5 yrs or so.  I can kneel on my deck and look right into the nest with little chicks, usually around the end of June, then watch them grow all summer. I love it! We keep a birdbath full of fresh water, and have lots of lilacs around that part of the yard, so they must like it here to keep coming back.

I went for my tx yest. and feel pretty tired still today. My counts are very low, so I'm going to wait 3-4 days before starting this cycle.  So far, no major se's tho. Any for you Kelly?

bye for now, hugs to y'all.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Anyone else that has facebook is welcome to do the same.

Ha Ha!  Thanks for the laugh, Choc!!!  I kind of thought you girls might think I was being naughty, but then I usually am.  Hope you-all feel better soon, and warm up.  I've been wishing it would cool, down a bit.  Warm weather and hot flashes, from Tamoxifen, are almost getting to be to much for me.
