Hey girls!
It's been a long while I know. I live just outside of Springfield, about an hour or so from Branson. I'm familiar with Table Rock Lake. Must be cool delorisann to leave just a block from the lake. I used to live that close to Lake Champlain where I grew up in Vermont.
I am four weeks out from a bilateral mx, DIEP reconstruction. Some days great, others not so much. I am learning against my nature, to be patient..:0) I believe I went to the best place for my treatment, NOLA. I am blessed that I got to bypass radiation due to mx, and no chemo due to such an early cancer. Right now, just home healing and trying to get well again.
Hope this finds all of you well. God bless all of you.
God Bless,
Mumsy

Hi I am a MO girl at least since 1972 I love springfield dated someone from there the town I miss much more than him ha I live about 106 miles from there east of there.

Hi Missouri Girls
There are quite a few of us. We will have to plan another get together.
Iamblessed I live in Springfield. Perhaps we could get together after you are feeling better. I did not have mastectomy. I went lumpectomy, chemo, radiation route.
Let's see enjoylife, 106 miles east of her would be....around Imminence??(have no idea if I spelled that right.)

susanmcm,
Wow! I had no idea we live so close to each other! Small world as the saying goes. I think that would be nice to get together after a bit. There is another woman from Missouri who is on this site, however has not posted here so I will not say. But, it would really be cool if we could figure a way to get all of together on a date and place that would fit into our lives. Mission impossible right? Nah! Anything is possible!!
Thanks for all the replies, I hope more girls come out!!
God Bless,
Dottie

Hi! I'm from near Kirksville, Mo. It was a good idea to start this thread, as I have always wondered if there were many Mo girls on this site. I had my biopsy three years ago, today, at the age of thirty-five. Stage 1 IDC er/pr positive, bilat mas-no reconstruction, chemo, and tamoxifin. Did anyone have reconstruction in Columbia?

Hi ladies, just checking this portion of the board, yes seems like quite a few from Mo. If you all ever decide on a get together let me know. I am about an hour from branson and about 20 minutes from Eureka Springs. I have my Zometa treatments at Cox Breast Center in Springfield. I really like my Dr. Dr William Cunningham. He is awsome. I hate the Zomet treatments but I know it is helping me so therefore I continue taking them. I am also on arimidex and suffer from horrible hot flashes but hey, Im alive, right? That is all that counts..

Hi all,
Where would be a good place for the Missouri girls to meet? Rolla? Is that sorta central?
Delorisann, I think my new oncologist will be Dr. Cunningham also. Glad to hear you like him. I have an appointment in Sept. I had Dr. Corolla before and Dr. Rabe before that. Am I so hard to treat that I drive doctors away???? LOL

Hi MO ladies!
I'm an Ex-MO resident, does that count?
I lived in STL for 15 years, but moved to TX in 2006. I still work for a company there, so I fly to STL for meetings and to visit my family.
Nice meeting you all!
God bless,
Aurora
