    Rosemary--I sent a detailed email to my Republican brother (an expert on insurance tax shelters) asking about the two insurance plans.  Obviously, he doesn't have my love of detail as here is his short response:

    Mostly, the only difference is between bargaining employees and other employees. Generally union employees have a Taft Hartley plan which is administered by the union.
    I have seen companies that provide a wrap plan of executives. It offers a plan that covers all non insured expenses. This is fairly rare because the plan is not a deductible expense.
    FYI I don't support the McCain plan. Something that large needs bipartisan support.

    Cherry--I think she likes you too.  I wonder if she's not really a left-leaning tree hugger herself!  Me thinks she protests too much.

    Cheryl, I hope I don't offend you, but I'm going to give you MY answer to your question.  I just lost a long post...LOL Yell  Perhaps God is trying to tell me something...,Surprised

    The reason I (I'm changing that from "we" since I'm speaking for myself) find it suspicious that he doesn't want to release his transcript is because many of his relationships just doesn't make since.  When asked about buying the piece of property from Rezko...it was a bonehead idea...or ....I never heard him (his pastor) say those [controversial] things when I sat in the pew [for 20 years]..brackets my emphasis.  Or, I never knew..I returned the money.

    After Obama saw this National Press Club with his minister there I'm sure he was pretty angry.  That's when he denounced his pastor.  Strange to me.  I don't have time to look for Obama's exact words from any sources right now, but he said something to the effect that, it was evident that he [the pastor] didn't care about me.  So, when the pastor said that Obama did what politicians do his pastor meant they LIE.  Not very nice.

    And here's something I find quite disturbing.  Money was given to Rezko for low income housing.  They were in Obama's district.  Obama worked with Rezko, I believe, to get Rezko the funding for these buildings. 

    Want to see some distrubing videos?  There are other relationships in Obama's life that are questionable.  Again that's why I find it strange that he won't release his transcrips.  There's a lot of insinuations as to why, but I won't go there.  I'm not saying that Obama did anything illegal.  But I do have questions.  You've heard enough about Ayers so I'll leave out that relationship among others.

    I think this is wierd.  Why are they wearing fatigues?  Why can't these young mean aspire to be whomever they want to be without chanting things about Obama.  Why not chant Bill Cosby's name?  He's been "preaching" this taking responsibility..being a hand's on dad, etc.  "Apha and Omega?"  Why are they stating Obama's political health care plan?  I think this is over the top.

    Why we would want to know about Obama's missing years?  Is because we simply don't trust him.  But I think those were his drug years that he can't remember...the lost years.  Blow was in but smack was out.  Whatever that means.

    Well Obama taunted McCain enough that he's coming out fighting tomorrow night, gloves are off.  McCain has nothing to lose so let's get it on.

    Jesse Jackson is telling the world that Obama won't be such a good friend to Israel.  I wonder if there's a video?  Jesse should be slaughtered tomorrow by the media.  I might have to watch MSNBC tomorrow to see them choke over this story.  It might be amusing.

    wow Summer - that Rachel Maddow "gaffe" is certainly a game-changer!   It totally makes me think I should vote for McCain when her producers/staff make a mistake.  I mean, heck - the wrong camera angles in her first few shows were so awkward!!  And tonight, when she cued two times for T-Shirt graphics that the crew failed to deliver....well, that was the final straw!

    I can understand your wanting those questions answered, but once again, I fail to see how a college transcript will answer them. Maybe I'm having  a chemo brain relapse and can't see clearly at the moment. I'm also curious about one other thing. Are you accepting Rev. Wright's opinions that Obama is a liar? If so, why would you believe him when you have condemned him for what he said about this country? Why is he telling the truth in one instance and not in the other?

    When did Wright call Obama a liar?  Is there a story that goes along with this?  We know Obama lies, he's been caught many times but is there more?

    Cherryl - What bothers me the most is the fact that he has gotten where he is at so soon with little to no accomplishments.  Who got him there?  There are too many questionable acquaintances in his past.  Also,  why is his Thesis not available?  Most people are more than happy to share and even publish their thesis.  And, there is that whole issue of "distribution of wealth" that is just too unsettling. American work hard for their money.  Why should they pay taxes for those folks who don't and why should I share my hard earned wealth with someone who doesn't work?  Not fair at all.  It goes against the principles of this great country.

    Wright said that Obama does "what politicians do", which to me, meant that he thought Obama was not totally honest. Maybe that wasn't calling him a liar,but I didn't read that as a strong support for Obama. Perhaps my interpretation is wrong.

    Why does election time have to be so ugly?  Especially in our community.  We are brought together by a terrible disease that will kill way too many of us before our time.  Ultimately we have that in common and if we want anything done when it comes to money being allocated to research the only way it will happen is if we stick together as a group and not seperate.

    I have paid alot more attention to politics this year than ever because the US is in such a sad state, but worse is how mean and evil people are becoming as the elections draw nearer.  I know many of you that post here from other areas of the board and am shocked at some of the hatred I hear.

    Everyone is entitled to an opinion and a vote that is the beauty of this country and its systems but why must we have such hatred that goes along with it?  This is an equal opportunity post and I will post it on both threads (dem and repub)

    I'm only interested in talking with people who come by to do a hit and run.  If they have lies coming from John, then lets talk about them here.  Otherwise, I can assume there are no lies coming from John, just hit and run posts.  I have no problem listing all the Obama lies, there have been plenty. 

    LuAnn, where are you hearing that hatred?  Here on this thread?  I don't think so.
