IBC, I can't read all the posts having trouble staying awake again laately, but why is your wife being admitted to the hospital? I hope all is ok and it is just routine tests.

JUST HEARD ABOUT THIS TODAY. I CAME ON LINE TO SEE. I WILL BE POSTING THE LINK TO THE VIDEO ALTHOUGH IT'S IN THE BODY OF THIS PIECE. I WANT EVERYONE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE TOUGH QUESTIONS ARE ASKED! OF COURSE I DO NOT BELIEVE THE OBAMA THREAD WILL READ THIS. THEY WANT TO REMAIN BLIND..WALK AROUND WITH EITHER EAR PLUGS OR COTTON IN THEIR EARS!

Obama campaign cuts off Florida TV station from future interviews--it had the audacity to ask Biden tough questions http://marathonpundit.blogspot.com/2008/10/obama-campaign-cuts-off-florida-tv.html
Barbara West, a reporter for WFTV in Orlando, finally asks gives the people what they want: tough questioning of a one of the two men at the top of the Democratic ticket. She hits Joe Biden on ACORN, "spreading the wealth," and even asks Biden "What do you say to the people who are concerned that Barack Obama will want to turn America into a socialist country much like Sweden."
It's the best five minutes of television I've seen this year. And Biden gets in one of his famous lies. He falsely states that the Barack Obama did not pay ACORN to register voters, when in fact he did.
In another reminder of how childish the Obama-Biden campaign is regarding media who won't fawn over them, WFTV has been cut off from future contacts with the campaign.
From the Orlando Sentinel:Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."
Most Congressional Democrats favor a return to the ludicrously misnamed "Fairness Doctrine," which will stifle free speech on our airwaves.
Let West know what a good job she is doing by e-mailing her atbarbara.west@wftv.com.

Hi, Cam has been having a severe toxic reaction to Chemo(Ixempra and Xeloda). It has worked on her cancer, but has played heck with her stomach and colon. She has not been able to control the nausea so is staying dehydraded and with blood pressure as low as 74over 47. Her Heart was damaged by earlier TAC plus Avastin. So always a balancing act. Thank you for checking on her.

http://www.wftv.com/video/17790025/index.html.
How dare one ask hardball questions. They can talk about how "fashionable" Palin is, but please don't ask questions. You notice McCain is brought up about ACORN. Notice how wrong McCain was about the war..so was Biden. Try to explain "spreading the wealth around." We all heard Obama said it and he explained it very well to Joe the Plumber. Then what happens..Joe gets investigated via Government computers.
Now Obama Campaign is boycotting this station!
So, what are we to take from this event. Obama et al after winning the presidency will not speak to the media when it comes to "tough questions." Can you say...no more Fairness Doctrine Act. That's what the liberals have been wanting to get rid of.
Biden does fumble the football when he has to answer tough questions. Palin gets them all the time
SO, THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN HAS THEIR PANTIES ALL BUNCHED UP AND WHINES ABOUT HOW UNFAIR THIS LINE QUESTIONING WAS WRONG. Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!When Palin had questions thrown at her all the libs were so excited because she looked dumb.
Of course I'm preaching to the choir here.
More later.

My thoughts go out to Cam, you and your family ibc. I wish this nausea resolves itself quickly for Cam.
-
Shirley,
Saw that, watched Reliable Sources today on CNN, just to see what the show that looks at the media had to say. Never mentioned it. When talking about all the negative stories and vetting of Gov Palin. They said, that Obama was well vetted during the primaries. Seems like I remember Hillary and SNL mocking the total Lack of vetting and what is your favorite color kind of tuff questioning.
-
Pam,
Good question, how is he going to implement his health care plan? What would they do if insurance companies say, no thanks. Take them over, like Maxine Waters threatened Exxonmobil with? They regulate the insurance companies, but forcing them into a plan that might not be fiscally sound for them? Hmmmm, very interesting. Enticing them in could be very expensive proposition for all of us.
-
I saw a piece of that interview with Biden. How dare that reporter ask any serious questions of Joe? Did anyone notice his face? Eyes got narrow, face got a menacing look. That's the Joe I know.
I didn't mean what I said, says Joe. I meant the next President will be tested. Suddenly, none of us can read.
Half the time he never knows what will come out of his mouth, so don't hold him to it. The reporter will now be vetted fully, and her credentials, credit card history, sex life, will be thorougly discussed by all the talking heads on MSNBC.
-
Thank you Summer, Pam. Cam has fond memories of Canada, she was arrested there by Monties and turned over to FBI. (Long story of life with Guru from 1971)
-
Rock and roll.
-
Pam,
It's not much of a story, it had to do with armed robbery, prison escape, Kentucky Derby, a thousand weddings, experimental brain surgury, Guru Maharahji, and an Old southern Senator.
Someday, send a bottle of Gray Goose, and Cam will get loose enough to come on and tell you about it. -
Oh, I was thinkin 1971...great music, peace and love.
-
Are they're hacking up the story of McCain's first wife? From whence it comes. Who cares anymore? Pam, you have to stop reading over there. You'll get a sour stomach and I have no alternative cures for it, except to stop reading. That's very healing.
-
Summer, did I leave out the Loggins and Messina part
-
ibc, here some easy ways to help with that type of naseau. One of the best ways people can control it is with those new yogurts (like activia & danactive to name a few). That good bacteria in them really healps with tummy issues and has helped many on xeloda control their naseau. for some adtivan in small doese actually helps. Those of a few tricks that come to mind. But that imprexa.....wow that is tough! Even though it shows repsonse it is some hard chemo to tolerate. I wish her well and hope she pass throught this soon!
-
It bothers me greatly that BO supporters have written off John McCain as being unable to fulfill a 4 year term because of his age and, more importantly, because he is a cancer survivor. That should INFURIATE all of the members of this board. I guess I could be overly-sensitive. Oh, well. I voted yesterday so all the calls and ads don't mean anything to me now.
-
IBCspouse, I didn't acknowledge you earlier. My dear husband wanted the computer. And, you know that as a very good, submissive, Bible toting, believer of one's right to carry a gun, to limit government, to continue financially supporting our troops, and belief that when life begins is not above my pay grade wife I had to log off.
I can't lie. I'm not submissive!
Seriously, I hope Cam is feeling somewhat better. Being nauseated is absolutely horrible. I took Xeloda and was very fortunate not to have the serious symptoms that some get. Then, I wonder if it worked! Also, I hope you are comfortable. I hate being in the hospital or even sitting there.
Prayers and thoughts are with you.

The good news is Obama's lead is now coming down. Dick Morris was saying this would be crucial. I forgot his reason, but it had to happen by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. It's happening today:
http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE49J0LF20081026
Ibc, I hope Cam starts to feel better. In the old days, we would run to the drug store for some coke syrup. It settles the stomach down.
-
BJAlexandria, congrats on voting. Were the lines long? I haven't voted yet, but plan to tomorrow.
There's been an UH-OH from some of the voters. A friend told me this morning that some voters didn't know if you were going to vote a straight ticket that you have to MARK the president for whom you are voting...not just the republican party. There is nothing they can do. So, some of the presidential votes have been lost. I'm sure that affects both parties. What a shame. It's important to read what the ballot instructs. They didn't.
Gotta go again. My daughter is coming over. I talked her into going to the moutains with her dh and inlaws. No sense sitting around here doing nothing when she loves hiking or whatever they did.

The rolling tracking poll surveyed 1,203 likely voters in the presidential election. In a tracking poll, the most recent day's results are added, while the oldest day's results are dropped to monitor changing momentum.
I lied. I had to read Rosemary's link.
I don't understand these polls. How can this poll decide which candidate is ahead?
Now, I gotta go for real!
Shirley
-
Rosemary,
Keeping fingers crossed on polls not reflecting the gut reaction of just not being able to touch that block for a total unknown.
You are talking about the coke syurp they would squirt into a glass then add carbonated water.
-
I'm back for only a moment.
IBC, weren't those the good ole days. Those were REAL fountain drinks. Brings back fond memories. and REAL milkshakes do too. And REAL music....LOL I'm really giving away my age.
See nothing exciting is going on right now. I will be so glad when this election is over!

Wonderful speech by McCain.

IBC,
Yes, it's the same coke syrup. Only sold in drug stores now. Usually a teaspoon would start to settle the stomach down, then you wait some and try some more till all the nausea is gone. It works good for babies.

I just found this site:
They had a million women townhall meeting via phone today? I missed it. I haven't read all about it yet.

Am watching Huckabee now with Janine Turner talking about teamsarah. (Star of Northern Exposure)

Israel will have no stronger supporter in the White House than President Obama. We know this is true because he said it. We don't have to look at the radical anti-jewish muslems that helped mentor Obama and get him into Harvard, that would be wrong. We can't even bring up Rev Wright who preached from the pulpit that zionist were illegaly occupying palestine because Obama always missed those Sunday's.
We can be confused about Obama, according to Rev Wright, disinviting the Rev. from giving the invocation at Obama's announcement of running. This according to Rev. Wright version of what Obama said, once people learned of Farrakan and Write's trip to Kadafi, and the anti-zionist preaching of both, "the jewish vote would dry up". Add the fact that after a praticular harsh attach on Zionism by Farrakan, Write gave him his man of the year award from Trinity Church. Obama missed that too.
We know that Iva Carruthers, a noted black theologian and member of Trinity, and on Obama's religious committee, as well as a max out contributor to Obama, has a problem with Jews. To be exact, the 'elite jewish women who lead the femminist movement. Seems the movement was to destroy African American families. Yet Obama has a hugh jewish vote. I guess it's because the Media has covered these stories so well.
-
I do have Jewish friends who see through the rhetoric, but also those who don't. Of course, I don't discuss it! We did see Janine~~~it's too true about the good-looking Republican women....ahem. I am obviously ignoring the Hollywood set, whose lives have nothing to do with reality~~~yet.
Yay for Coca-Cola syrup; I keep it on hand, as does DD. I've always "served" it over finely- crushed ice for slow sipping. It usually works, but for chemo-strength nausea?
WonderfulSpouse, you want that Grey Goose messengered to the hospital or home? Sounds like another chapter for Your Book! (My ears pricked up at "Kentucky Derby", naturally!) Pat-pats to Cam........
-
So I'm the only one up snooping around the internet?
Inaugural plans of the candidates:
-
Nope, I'm up. I like to read the polling numbers and stories that are posted there. I was reading somewhere last night that a worker at an independent polling company is telling everyone this is a much closer race then it appears. The real numbers so far is Obama 260 and McCain 251 in electoral votes. Though Obama is taking the victory lap before the race is over, as McCain is saying, we are in for an all nighter if the above is true.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/
If you change FL, OH, NC, MO, NV and VA red, and CO & N.H. as dead heats, and PA is solid blue, that's supposedly how is really looks. It's hard to believe CO is not a blue State yet because of the crowds going out to see Obama talk there. Anything can happen.
