The Next Person Game
Comments
-
False, I use my day planner.
The next person hugged a loved one this morning.
-
False - got my good morning kiss but no hug - I think I need to institute a hug in with the good morning and night kisses - they've become too rote.
I have (besides DH who is #1 best friend) 4 best girlfriends and about a dozen more really good girlfriends - talk about being blessed!
Artsee: Maybe we had the same kook. And thanks for the recommendation for the new Enya CD, I was wondering about it.
I did take a helicopter ride over Hoover Dam years ago - what a thrill.
The next person is remembers when practically everything over $10 went into layaway - and it wasn't a bad way to buy!
-
False ...don't remember that, my mom would never buy unless she had the money. I think it's a European think.
Yes I did hug and kiss my family this morning before they went out to start their day. No one leaves unless I get my hugs and kisses.
Next person just did some ironing....I just finished some, but I hate doing it
-
False. What's ironing?
The next person remembers wearing hose that required a garter belt.
-
True, the hose word was a blast back, grin. And before hose as school girls, we wore long stockings made for cotton. They were white and beige. I always wanted white ones!
The next person has been on a sleigh ride.
-
True. A sleigh ride, what a wonderful memory. Went to a cabin, had hotdogs over an open fire outside. It was such fun!!
The next person hangs clothes outside all winter except when it's snowing or freezing rain. (I hate ironing and yet I do that.)
-
False, if I did hang my clothes outside now, when I brought them inside they would be able to stand on their own lol
Next person is doing laundry...can you guess today is all about the clothes
-
False...I am working..but I got all caught up on mine yesterday.
I love some of the posts here...took me down memory lane..thanks!
Miss Happen...I bet I know who you were referring to in one of your earlier posts! haha
The next person remembers going sledding as a kid.
-
True. And as an adult as well.
The next person plans to go caroling this month.
-
False, but I love to go caroling!! I went every year when I was younger.
My3girls.... if you've been around these boards much, I'm sure you do know. LOL
I went sledding as a kid.... not now. I might kill myself going down and I probably wouldn't be able to get back up the hill.
The next person can actually wear belts.
-
True, but they are my husbands and not mine. None of mine fit any more.
The next person has done something to help the environment today.
-
I did, yes....my hubby before he headed off to work.
The next person loves being a grandma.
-
TRUE!!!! My little wonderBoy is running a temp tonight of 105 degrees. all prayers welcome.
He was fine this morning, so I'll trust it's a quick bug
The next person has an old charm bracelet.
-
Do helicopter rides to shock trauma count?
False. My sister had one that we all loved.
The next person remembers wearing shorts under their skirt on gym day.
-
True, under the shortest skirts. What sassy butts we had with shorts under skirts.
The next person had the world by the butt at 14 and loved every minute of it. My I certainly am a butt person tonight,
-
True. I was all that AND a bag of chips. Hair to my waist.
The next person has hardwood floors.
-
True - we put in hardwood floors when we built - based on the fact that they are SO easy to clean and keep clean - I disagree but they are lovely.
I did not have the world by the butt at 14 - hated, hated, hated my teen years - my childhood best friends grew into really cool teens - I was tall, gawky, skinny (way before skinny was in), glasses (4-eyes), crooked teeth (mom couldn't afford braces) and all I wanted to do was stick my head into a book. I finally hit my prime at 18 - kept going, never looked back unless I wanted to cringe.
The next person would go ice skating if her ankles would still hold her up!
-
False, I got rid of my skates........weak ankles lol.
The next person will do something nice for someone today.
-
True - I'm taking an elderly gentleman grocery shopping today - he's too proud to ask anyone for help so I have to remember to volunteer otherwise he does without food.....oy.
The next person remembers bowling when there was a man in back of the alley who reset the pins when you knocked them down (I once got my ball back with a note in the finger hole asking me out!)
-
True!! My BFF of 14's father owned a four lane little alley in the basement of a service club.
Your story about the note is a TRUE one-of-a-kind, thanks for sharing.
The next person water-ski'd as a fav past-time.
-
False never water skied.
I too loved the note in the bowling ball story. Like out of a movie.
The next person parasailed. I did that. Scared the dickens out of me but man!!! was it ever fun.
-
False, but I have eaten octopus and it was big time YUCK.
The next person is going to be a secret Santa to someone special.
-
False, we have soooo scaled down Christmas this year. No gifts, back to a no stress peaceful celebration. But it does feel strange, going into shops and not Christmas shopping. I admit I will make gifts for the grandsons, but no toys or electronics. Am I getting old or just jaded?
The next person sometimes shakes their head at the fact that 2008 is almost over.
-
True. And I think you are "spot on" about Christmas.
The next person is becoming addicted to this thread!!!
-
Yes, I suppose...in a way.....I really do like this thread.
The next person is watching it snow. I am.
-
False, no snow - crazy for December in the rocks!
The next person has their mother's hands!
-
Misshapen

False-my mom passed away from Kidney cancer 8 years ago, and I don't remember her hands specifically.
The next person is an insomniac
-
True true true!! Unfortunately.
The next person is also an insomniac
-
True. At times. I seem to go in cylces of sleeplessness and then a run of sleep. Never can figure out when it will be what.
I'm getting addicted here.
And thanks to everyone who posted a note of support for Norm. I know he's appreciative.
The next person remembers "service stations" where they pumped your gas for you.
-
Oh Yes I do remember that. Although there are a few gas stations in my town that are full service.
The next person is a bird watcher.
